Back after 9 years...LOL. I took a basic astrology course from a professional astrologer at that time, and have had readings from her several times since. Next month I'm having a very well known Evolutionary astrologer have a look at my chart (after over a year's wait), and I really need to brush up on my knowledge. I have a very busy chart and it does my head in. Plus I get frustrated at how arbitrary some chart interpretations are.....differences in orbs used, asteroids, stuff like that. My teacher said that you can get the thrust of the chart with the basics, and that many astrologers get carried away with details that to her, just reinforce what is already there. Any thoughts? Not sure if this is in the right place to ask this question.

Great time to be back!

Love your screen name.

Reminds me of the sabians symbol for cancer 7 (cancer6.01-6.59):

(From Dane Rudhyar's "An Astrological Mandala")

"TWO NATURE SPIRITS DANCING UNDER THE MOONLIGHT.

KEYNOTE:The play of invisible forces in all manifestations of life.

To the clairvoyant who visualized these symbolic scenes, the nature spirits (or fairies) most likely were thought of as more or less imaginary or ideal creations. At least they were linked with hidden and mysterious processes in nature, and the "moonlight" emphasizes this otherworldly or elusive character. Thus a contrast is implied between this character and the concrete and material process of building a nest for a physical progeny. The basic concept is that behind all vital processes one can perceive occult forces at work. They operate within a realm often called "astral" or "etheric"; and the moon has a deep influence upon that realm, releasing special solar rays of occult potency.

This is the second stage of the twentieth sequence. It contrasts the invisible with the visible, the inner with the outer, the dream and the ideal with everyday reality. In a sense this refers to man'sCREATIVE IMAGINATION."

As far as your question, I agree 100% it's not a good idea to get stuck in the details. It'd be working against yourself and the flow of the stars. (meant to inspire and encourage not constrict us..)

Hope you find what you are looking for here.

Thanks for the welcome!

"The play of invisible forces in all manifestations of life".

Wow. I knew something brought me back to astrology. :)

Unfortunately I'm not surprised that those Photobucket images don't come free anymore. I'm just reading how to attach a thumbnail....let's see how I manage.
