Traditional Views on Intercepted Signs?

For traditional astrologers who use a dynamic house system (i.e. not whole sign), are there particular views on intercepted signs and in particular the effect upon a planet when the sign it rules over is intercepted?

The only thing I've seen so far is a delineation by William Lilly where he mentions Pisces is intercepted in the 2nd with Jupiter in the 12th, but I haven't been able to gleam much insight on the effect of interceptions from this.
