Hello!

I have a same problem, in Western astrology I have Leo ascendant, and Pisces moon.

In Vedic I have Cancer ascendant and aquarius moon.

Some astrologer says when we see the personality , we see the western astrology .
But when we see the future ( what will be come in the future in the family or job, or in love) that' s better in the vedic astrology.

Can you help me something?
I' m new here in this forum.
How can I write a question in the forum like you this post?

I want to take this question is this astrologer forum : What was Stan Kirsch rising sign?
Can you help me?

Thank

There are different methods to calculate the ascendant and planetary positions in Vedic and Western astrologies. Vedic astrology insists on taking the positions of the planets as they appear in the sky at any given moment of time. It is not done in this manner in the Western astrology. There is therefore difference in positions by about 24 degrees. Both positions are correct in their respective areas of study. If you are consulting a practitioner of western astrology you must furnish a chart that she likes to have. The same is true for a Vedic astrologer.

i have the same problem too. in vedic astrology i have a taurus asc.
. in western astrology i have a gemini asc:pinched:
It's not a problem
Using Western Sidereal and/or Vedic = taurus asc
Using Western Tropical = gemini asc
because
for example

using MOON as an example:

MOON travels each SIGN once a month aka "moonth"
and
IS NOT ALWAYS IN SAME SIGN BOTH TROPICALLY AND SIDEREALLY
because
although Astrologers
ā€“ whether Tropical or Sidereal
ā€“ are commenting on and making predictions
regarding THE IDENTICAL MOON in the skies

computer generated Tropical Chart

differs by DEGREE OCCUPIED BY THE MOON
from Sidereal DEGREE OCCUPIED BY MOON

i.e.

Sidereal location of Moon is easily confirmed BY VISUAL observation of local skies

but the TROPICAL MOON is not seen visually in local skies by degree

because
the TROPICAL MOON IS THEORETICAL
based on TROPICAL ZODIAC
i.e
there is a minimum difference of 20Ā°

up to a maximum of approximately 24Ā°
between

TROPICAL

AND

SIDEREAL MEASUREMENT

and

ANY planet at 0Ā° OF any TROPICAL SIGN
is SIDEREALLY between approximately 6Ā° - 10Ā°
to a maximum 24Ā° of the PREVIOUS SIGN
dependent on the ayanamsha

.
