how to know if a friendship will work out??

So I always see information on finding out how a romantic relationship will work out, but I'm wonderinyg if you can find out if a friendship will work out?

Here's a synastry:

To be honest, I don't really like this person, so maybe there might be something about that in the synastry??

Roughly speaking, look at the Mercury for both when considering friendship.

The Mercury of both people are inconjunct (or as would be traditionally said, in aversion). They don't "see" each other and so friendship capabilities will be strained because of that. Such as by not even having the same ideas of what friendship really means.

The chart on the outside has their Mars conjunct the Mercury of the chart on the inside. So that will cause agitation to the friendship capabilities too, particularly to the person whose chart is the inside chart.

Further the north node of the outside chart is conjunct the 6th cusp of the inside chart which will activate and bring about 6th house things in the relationship (which aren't really conducive to friendship, the 6th house is a place of enemies among other things).

From a quick glance the person on the inside isn't so well served in the friendship as the person on the outside.

You can use basic relationship synastry too for friendships. Just pay more attention to Mercury specifically than you normally would.

I am the person on the inside, so yeah, what you said there makes sense. So you said that the 6th house is a place of enemies, though, what would the other houses say about a friendship?

The north node in a place will just help the general indications of the house to happen in a person's life with that friendship involvement.

So conjunct 2nd cusp will help the person meet their responsibilities. 10th may help them get ahead in their career or in doing things in the world. 8th may cause major shifts in the person's life etc.
