Can someone please explain pluto semi square ascendant?

I have to ask if the birth time is accurate, and if the semi-square is exact (45 degrees, or at best 44 or 46.) The reason is that the so-called minor aspects need to be spot-on to be real. If the ascendant is a bit off, than that would also affect whether the aspect is close or out-of-orb.
But assuming it's valid, most astrologers would suggest that it's like the square, just not so pronounced. The person may feel under pressure regarding his/her physical appearance and outward personality. This can even get obsessive. If the ascendant and Pluto are otherwise well-aspected, the person might feel under pressure to be his/her personal best. If other hard aspects are involved, s/he may feel there's something inherently wrong with her being-in-the-world. If they're further troubled, s/he may feel that other people are oppressive or out to get or stop her/him from succeeding.
