I was born on June 15 1991 in Winnipeg, MB at 9:10pm!

I am new to astrology and learning. Please tell me what my top dominant signs are and what element/planets do I possess? I have been searching for someone to help me out with finding these answers and haven't had much luck... THANK YOU!

Re: Am i more of a leo (fire) or gemini (air)

According to vedic astrology you actually are more earth like (a lot of Virgo energy). With this chart, I would say more Leo energy!

You can get an immediate chart interpretation from astro.com. From ‘free horoscopes tab look for free 'personal portrait' or ‘astroclick portrait’ interpretation of a natal chart in the free horoscope section, you simply put the cursor on a planet and it brings a pop up box to explain what it means to have a planet in that house and any other aspects it has to natal planets. plus a six month free transit report in 'short report' Robert Hand gives a valuable in depth explanation of transits here – only slight objection I have with astro, is they use orbs of upto maybe 10' approaching, exact and departing. So most transits seem very long in effect. I use more realistic orbs of 1' approaching, 1' exact and 1' departing.

Re: Am i more of a leo (fire) or gemini (air)

Imo I'd say FIRE!!

Sure you might be Gemini, and since Mercury is traditional ruler of Gemini, It's well placed! yet taking a close look at your sun/moon midpoint, your SN is conj within 1 degree, so you could be comfortably cancer! Having Pisces rule your 3rd house (where gemini naturally lives) there's some water affinity to this chart (well, more MOON affinity really), and with quite a strong connection to the Mutable energies (a strong Mercury that traditionally rules Virgo and Gemini, with Pisces in 3rd, and Merc/sun in Gemini, Sag AC) With that said, I want to look at your moon placement, and AC, with the AC being in fire, and it's ruler Jupiter in fixed energy, conj your moon being in Leo, Moon rules 4th house and that house is in Aries (fire) which mars, just so happens to be conj your moon, and even judging from the profile picture, My money is on the fixed energy of LEO (FIRE!!)

Saturn placed in it's traditionally ruled sign (Aquarius) and Sun in Gemini gives you a close 2nd for Air affinity.

Lets look where your chart ruler is at (Jupiter) and we find it...well wouldn't you know, Leo ^_^

Those are some really impressive squares and oppositions btw, that 8th house isn't very happy with you at all, lots of work to be done. With Saturn in air opposing your chart ruler Jupiter, and your sun/merc opposing your AC, you will see-saw between feeling like fire and air often, no wonder you asked this question!

If anyone says Earth or Water however, they should be smacked.

Re: Am i more of a leo (fire) or gemini (air)

You see that little grid at the lower right side of the chart circle? The one with the FAEW and CFM labelling? That shows you where your planets and angles are in terms of element (FAEW) and mode (CFM). From that we can quickly and easily see that you have a majority of planets in the fire element and fixed mode - fixed fire = Leo.

However, I would say there's not really one dominant element as the luminaries, major personal planets and angles are all distributed between air and fire. You have a distinct deficiency of water with an impersonal Pluto and Chiron only in water signs.

4out of 10 planets in fire signs and fire Asc, makes your quite firely, plus three in air, makes you a bit of bookworm, someone who enjoys, reading, studying.

North Node is 19' cappi, and sun/moon midpoint is 19'32" cancer/cappi [cardinal] so it's exact. this to me just suggests that this lifetime is going to be an important one for you.

In Equal house system (mine) your pluto would be conj 12th house cusp and anything within 5' of house cusp is said to be more effective in the next house along goning anti clockwise...Neptune and Node would be 2nd house

you have stellium planets in 8th house,,

You're so friggen awesome! Very informative and answered absolutely every detail I've been trying to find for quite some time! And I do agree with you 100 percent that i'm totally fiery by nature. I also have ONE more question please... How is money and my career going to come to me? Struggles? Or anything I should be aware of and avoid? That's the biggest concern I've always wanted to know as well.

Thank you and very MUCH appreciated! & Happy New Year

Well that's a tough one sir, the chart only shows potential, and with transits and progressions always changing, a persons success is very hard to pin down, what is abundant in one way can be taken away as quickly as it was given, so I don't think I'll have a very good answer for you.

I can say this with certainty, Saturn in 2nd makes for a rough, rough road. I've encountered many people with money troubles when their saturn is in 2nd...

HOWEVER! good news is your chart ruler is tucked away in 8th house, and more than likely you'll have an avenue for resources that are not your own, likely from mother or from a female influence. Just remember, this abundance opposes saturn, and in turn gives an uncomfortable feeling to your North Node, it's likely you could cling to this abundance and not create your own identity, having a female influence dominating your life can give little to your own development, and having Neptune in 1st gives confusion to self anyways, with uranus keeping you always changing, and fiercely unique.

Redraw your chart on Astro.com using "equal house" to see what I'm seeing = )

Wow, this gave me the shivers because I actually can relate to what you just said (*money struggles, discovering self identity, strong female influences-mom). It's amazing how the chart tells the true depths of ones life! Always willing to hear the honest truth no matter how harsh it gets, so thanks for the honesty and help once again! Looking forward to reading your helpful answers again in the future

How to find your career- sticky in Vocational Forum
http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum/showthread.php?t=32775
please give some background ie: education, aspirations, options

Ruler of the Tenth House in the Eighth House
"our main profession or your attitude towards it can go through a complete change. Your feelings about authority figures or even about being in a position of authority yourself will change. Your career may be related to some kind of research, other people's resources, or even the metaphysical realm."
http://www.skyviewzone.com/astrology...ships.htm#hr10

modern astrologer. Lots of newcomers come into Astrology/forums and get a free chart from www.astro.com and the default ‘house system’ used is Placidus and think that’s just the norm and all there is……..BUT that is just the tip of the iceberg. You can change the default on astro.com in Extended Chart selection to Equal house and a few others if you wish to experiment…..

Within the mainstream here on AW of placidus/equal houses (the default on astro is placidus) only difference being some planets may move from one house to another thereby altering it's interpretation and it's 'only' with research will you find which /planets 'fit you' in which houses. So my advice, do two charts, research any planets that move houses and see which you identity with - simple
Youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAwGtMWl4z4

pluto would be 12th and node and neptune are conj 2nd house cusp (anything within 5' of cusp is considered more effective in next house along going anti clockwise...)

venus ruler of 6th and saturn ruler of 2nd are in oppositon, which is not great, this shows feelings of being unloved in early childhood and poss self esteem issues and having to always work hard for financial stablity.

uranus is creating many quincunxs here for you..

Sometimes these quincunxs (aka Inconjuncts 150’) are obvious and recognised in personality, other times it can take a lot of self examination to identify with the planets energies and of course they (like all aspects) don't operate 100% of the time, they are simply a facet of your personality. Some say they cause health issues that are unresolved, underlying, dormant waiting to be triggered.... some say you stay at one end, to the detriment of the other, OR end up see-sawing between the two until you learn balance, integration of two unlikely pairings.

Next look at the signs, then houses and then aspects. Now the *others aspects* from these quincunxs/Yods as they can act like escape routes, that can help or hinder the expressions. A chart with lots of Yods (Finger of God) will always be *searching* for the divine answers to the meaning of life, to find synthesis

What tends to happen with quincunxs is that with progessions and transits will create temporary Yods aka 'Finger of god' configurations. Like with common TSquares, they create a temp Grand Square...

Moon Quincunx Neptune
“Romantic and idealistic, you easily project qualities onto situations and people that they can't possibly live up to. The root of this problem is really inaccurate self appraisal. You expect more from yourself than is realistic, then react to your shortcomings with guilt driven service to others and deep expression of overly sympathetic feelings. In the long run you have many opportunities through this aspect of your nature to refine and express your higher vision of the truth to others. Through this expression your daily life becomes a clearer picture of your true inner being.”
http://www.cafeastrology.com/natal/q...retations.html

“You are like a mother hen seeking to protect her brood when danger threatens. Unconsciously, however, you are constantly seeking situations in which you can persecute yourself. Your imagination works overtime in creating problems to solve.
In any endeavour you must determine the limits of your responsibilities and avoid volunteering for additional tasks. Your physical constitution cannot tolerate abuse. Good food, nutritiously prepared under clean conditions, is absolutely necessary.
Your romantic interests may prove disappointing until you can relate to others honestly and realistically. It is not easy for you to see people as they really are”

Re: Am i more of a leo (fire) or gemini (air)

Mars quincunx Uranus, may suffer from sudden and intermittent painful things.

“you function with great drive (mars) and originality (urans), but you always seem to be under some pressure. Perhaps you are trying to prove something to yourself and others.. Learn to distinguish responsibility from abuse. It may be that your deep concern for your future drives you to do everything immediately. There is more time than you know, so first establish your priorities, and then you CAN accomplish all you want. Make sure that others do not make demands of you that are physically impossible or perhaps unnecessary. Do not be a patsy for other people's incompetence”
From the book ‘Aspects and Personality’ by Karen Hamaker-Zondag

Mars Quincunx (Inconjunct) Uranus
"You want something different than the rest of society and this in itself is neutral. Your frustrations can arise because your manner of expression of your unique desires cuts against the grain of what other people expect from you and your methods don't achieve your goals. Slow down - your intensity and drive can leave you drained without getting you closer to your goals. Only when you are able to hold to a course of action for a long time are you able to get results. Your attempt at "quick wins" always requires you to start over."

You may have to sort through the "hidden messages" you received as a child in order to make sense out of some of your adult actions. You act, at times, without any forethought. This is because you are driven by forces out of your immediate awareness. Your spontaneous bursts of enthusiasm either serve you well or they don't. Early in life you may have been "told" that you should be different, but, your differences will stop you from succeeding. It takes time and adjustment to really learn that it's okay to be both unique and successful.”
http://www.cafeastrology.com/natal/quincunxinterpretations.html

"you must solve your emotional problems before you can feel really free. However, in this process you become skilled in dealing with recurring crises. The difficulties you experience are a direct result of conditioning by your parents. You were emotionally unprepared to accept the burdens you were expected to carry. Because of this you felt guilty and tried to do whatever you could to rid yourself of this. In serving others you overreact emotionally. You develop many skills to enable you to succeed in your job. Your best field would be one that involves teaching groups to develop their potentials."

Re: Am i more of a leo (fire) or gemini (air)

Venus Quincunx Uranus
Learning to let go of the past means being willing to release relationships you have outgrown. Further, you need to reevaluate the way you imprison yourself in mindless routines, then revolt against them. Different is not improvement necessarily, yet change is integral to development. Learning to abruptly alter circumstances without emotional turmoil is the way of growth. You need freedom through relationships, not freedom from relationships.

“indicating that you often neglect your own desires to satisfy others. When you do something to please yourself, you know you have earned it because of the sacrifices involved. Others seem to feel that you have an obligation to indulge their needs. You comply, but not without bitterness. By over reacting with sympathy and understanding, you burden yourself with their problems. In other words, learn to mind your own business. You have a strong desire to communicate, but this should not be confused with "buying" their friendship by doing favours. Meet others only halfway until you know they are sincere.”

Re: Am i more of a leo (fire) or gemini (air)

LOL my charts ALWAYS have unpleasant predictions/interpretations Every time I get my chart read through from others there's nothing exciting to hear. Fame, Wealth, Friends, Family, Luck ect... nada! If I'm going to live my life working hard for my financial stability/money and success, then so be it! Nothing in life is easy, and success is strictly gained from hard work. I'll also have a sense of dignity and self worth. No one will bring this fiery guy down! But thank you again for sharing your input! Much appreciated

Re: Am i more of a leo (fire) or gemini (air)

Well you know astrology is a kinda therapy and getting to know and understand your motivations etc...If I'd known you simply wanted an ego boost I would have changed tack

Saturn in 2nd house can sometimes have a 'fear of poverty' but hence they can be so tight at spending money, they can even become millionaires..

The houses are like the backdrop of a stage, the setting if you like, the planets are like actors and the aspects are how the planets behave in that settings/stage....So remember you may find it harder to identify with planets and Saturn in this case in Cadent houses….

"Saturn’s" influence seems to be more obvious in the houses than in the signs ‑ can rule the life with an iron rod, although invisible, by undermining the sense of self‑worth and making it difficult for the individual to permit any close emotional contacts.

Saturn's sign indicates what you find uncomfortable and must learn to manage.

Where and how you feel a lack of confidence -- the house position of Saturn defines where
you need to establish your skills, an issue you worry about and wish you could depend on !

Lovely anecdote about Saturn from member mahaira,
Quote:
There's an interesting thing I read somewhere, which I would never take as a rule as it oversimplifies matters - we can guess where someone's Saturn is placed, broadly speaking, by asking him/her "What do you want (or did want) but don't have?"

Saturn in the 2nd house
· There can be gain through inheritance.
· This person does not gain inward peace unless he has learned to share what he has with others. Real estate or anything to do with land is a good investment.
· There is a need to re-evaluate personal beliefs, values and attitudes and find a more stable basis from which to operate.
· Too much materialism and possessiveness can be present.
· There may be a fear of poverty, as a result these people are careful with money. But excessive caution or meanness can lead to lost financial opportunities. Any purchase must be of practical use and value for money.

I wouldn't see it as bad at all with that 8th house help, I think there's a chance you (could) get comfortable with it and stay with the support, instead of creating your identity your North Node wants you to create, that's about it ; )

Re: Am i more of a leo (fire) or gemini (air)

I'd say you are more Leo with that stellium. You then have a smaller stellium in (please sit down for this) in Capricorn. This means that all that Leo energy is here to stay b/c coming up right behind it, you have cementing Cappy. I don't know where you got Gemini from but unless I missed something I don't see a ton of it represented in your chart.

I love Leo like people...my Venus is there.

Well smack me silly! Pluto is a Singleton in Water. Now, I'm not saying it might trump all that Fire. However, you may consider researching that Pluto position since it's comfortable in Scorpio and may funnel most of the chart here...

Just sayin, maybe under all that fire, you may be quite emotional...

Signs of outer planets aren't that important. Even if Pluto was in Taurus, Libra or Cancer, that wouldn't be too bad depending on how it was placed.

Pluto is not that bad. Sure, it makes you moody, but people can't tell with Pluto. I have a singleton Pluto and it's 1' (minute) conjunct my Sun/Moon midpoint and a few other midpoints at other orbs so it's in a quite sensitive spot on my chart too. In real life, basically no one can ever tell and I can read them easily too. Oh, and your Pluto is retrograde (moving backwards,) so you might want to examine that a little.

Back to the original topic: Mercury in Gemini disposits all your Leo planets, but Mars has something called a Joy (which is good) in Leo and it's conjunct your Moon, so I say both. If we look at triplicity rulerships, Saturn rules all the Air signs on a day chart (Sun above horizon = daytime) and it's in the Air sign Aquarius (which is also its ruling sign) so I say you're a little more Air, but Mars in Leo will be quite noticeable with a luminary (the Moon) conjunct it and Saturn opposite, so you could be more Fire depending on which one you think you are.

I didn't say that they weren't important. I said that they weren't that important.
