Hormonal problems

Testosterone is ruled by Mars; and the ovaries (generally) by Venus, Scorpio, and the 8th house. Cysts in general are ruled by Venus.

Does any of this relate to your horoscope?

Would you like to post your chart, with transits and progressions? But if you don't have an accurate birth time, please so indicate; as the houses are important and if they're off, so will be the interpretation.

Moor, I am not an expert in medical astrology, and would suggest that you take this further with someone who is, together with your medical specialist.

As you know, testosterone in women is produced by the ovaries, even though it is viewed as the male hormone.

I just looked through Jane Ridder-Patrick, A Handbook of Medical Astrology, 2nd ed. She gives parts of the body not only ruled by signs, but by degrees. Bingo. Your Black Moon Lilith in Scorpio is at 16 degrees, which rules rules the right ovary. 17 degrees Scorpio rules the left ovary, where your Pluto is located. Then your BML conjunct Pluto, is involved with a T-square. Your Pluto-BML oppose your moon in Taurus (girl planet) and square your Mars-Venus (girl planet)-NN.

This might also relate to your acne, as Pluto rules eruptions of various kinds.

Neptune is the modern ruler of diseases that are difficult to diagnose, and yours is sitting atop several squares, as well.

To the extent that we believe in medical astrology, you seem hard-wired to have these particular health problems.

If you want to invest in a couple of medical astrology books, I can recommend the above one, plus Eileen Nauman, Medical Astrology.

While I don't recommend substituting advice from an amateur astrologer for sound medical care, Ridder-Patrick suggests that patients undertake the following, alongside your regular medical treatments:

1. Keep a journal of your medical conditions, particularly noting circumstances where they tend to flare up. These might correlate with certain behaviours or even transits.

2. Work with your horoscope elements. Think of the planets as members of your personal committee or extended family, each with their different goals and styles of operating. I think Pluto, Lilith, Venus, and your moon would especially be the ones to get to know better. What does each of them want from you? How do they get along with one another? (Think also about your Jungian animus and anima here.) Is there a planet you really dislike, and tend to deny or suppress in your life?

3. Ridder-Patrick then recommends focusing on more constructive or "higher" uses of the planets. For example, are Pluto and Lilith the nightmares of the zodiac, or is their purpose really our liberation and transformation? Particularly with your Aquarian Venus-NN-Mars conjunction, some "depth psychology" journaling about your sexuality might be helpful. She stresses that we can't change our planets, but we can change the way we think and feel about them.

Ideally this process will release a lot of the stress around your medical conditions. Sometimes stress itself aggravates health problems; but even where it doesn't, de-stressing helps how we feel about living with them.

Moor, just a note about acne. I'm in my 60s, and when I was young, acne was extremely common among teenagers. The drugs used today to treat it weren't around then. I had a horrible case, which thankfully cleared up with age; however, I can still get a touch of it, even now. What worked for me far better than the worthless topical treatments were: (1) drinking a lot of water, (2) fresh air and sunshine, and (3) eliminating saturated fats in my diet. Even today, eating butter or Chicken McNuggets can cause a flare-up. Olive oil is fine.

Even with your acne under control, these 3 steps should be helpful for your cholesterol and general health.
And finally, a couple of odd thoughts, but if they persist during a reading, I try to throw them out there. Is there anything about you that is soothed by subterranean places? (Pluto rules them.) Even if you can't visit actual caves, or don't have an actual basement, something like sketching them or reading/viewing films about them might help release some of your deep Pluto-Lilith tensions. (Cf. the Hobbit movies about the dwarves, or the new book out about the trapped Chilean miners.) Or are you able to take walks at night in your neighbourhood? Can you visit hot springs, where healing water comes out of the ground? Pluto-Lilith is a very powerful combination and I think finding a way to explore it constructively would be good.

Also, with your moon in Taurus, any kind of gardening should be helpful-- just getting your hands in the earth, and experiencing the changing seasons (Scorpio is also about old-into-new, and death-into-life.)

With your Aries sun in the 12th, think about the phoenix!

With all good wishes, W.

Moor, thanks for your detailed feedback. It is how I learn astrology!

I was blown away by the medical astrology degrees, as well. And not only with your chart. I have a left knee joint replacement, and the exact degree of my Jupiter in Capricorn is the left knee!

Ridder-Patrick gives the adrenal glands to 3 degrees Libra. This doesn't seem like a hot spot in your chart, although a transit could activate it. Rex E. Bills, in The Rulership Book gives:

adrenal glands: Jupiter, Libra (possibly sun, Scorpio)
adrenal gland cortex: Mars
adrenal gland medullary portion: Saturn
adrenalin: Mars, Aries, possibly the sun and Saturn.

You seem to have learned a lot about how the body functions and its disorders-- maybe medical astrology is a field worth exploring for you!

Pluto can be the "dark night of the soul," or even appear as times when we cocoon in the house and shut ourselves off from social contacts. It can be an unwanted energy that we disown, such that it shows up via psychological projection in Plutonian sorts of people in our lives.

Positively, Pluto is the metaphor of the phoenix, with its old-into-new sense of growth. Something old dies off in our lives, so that it creates space for something new to take its place. If you love gardening (with your Taurus moon, no less!) digging in the dirt, and preparing the soil for the change of seasons should feel very therapeutic for you. Composting, and watching those soil critters convert decaying vegetation into fertile soil is very much Plutonian terrain. Astrological time is circular.

When transiting Pluto squared my sun (which was awful,) I found taking night walks with the dog, just around my neighbourhood, to be therapeutic.

Moon-Pluto contacts can mean a difficult relationship with one's mother, or simply that one experiences her mother as struggling with Plutonian issues. If you live in a place where you can observe the moon nightly, it would be entirely consistent with your moon opposite Pluto to go outside and track its phases-- or its weather lore.

Or maybe keep a dream journal.

Whatever comes up for you is fine-- you'll identify something constructive and even beautiful (vs. self-medication) that generates feelings of release for you. If your Pluto is telling you that it craves intensity, especially in your interactions with other people, then see how you can live life "close to the bone." If your moon in Taurus longs to be close to the earth, then hopefully you can find time to do that.

Moor, I think you'd make a good astrologer-- see how you do with reading charts for people. You've got Uranus, the modern ruler of astrology, conjunct your MC; and your 7th house Pluto might help you to be highly therapeutic for other people. With Neptune square your sun in the 12th, your self-confidence may take a beating, but Neptune trine moon should give you a lot of compassion and a rich imagination.

See also Alice Portman http://aliceportman.com/what-is-the-vertex/ and her articles on the vertex. With your vertex in the 6th house of service, health, and illness-- opposite your sun-- you may have a deeper level to get to!

May I just add a little something further?

The apex of the T-square is in Aquarius on either side of the N.node in the 11th house. Platonic versus 'love' relationships.
Mercury in 12th is on Ascendant, and rules 3rd and 4th houses. The physical complaint could well be ancestral hereditary.

Gemini is strongly associated with dualism.
Both Gemini and Aquarius are associated with the androgynous state; neither one or the other but both. It doesn't have to be experienced as a negative factor of one's being.

Both secondary progressed Venus and Mars are now in a long sojourn in Pisces through the 12th house.
Maybe there is something more pressing behind the hormonal question?

for PCOS most often found in the map natal aspects:
Pl and Mo
Ur and Mo or Ve

The problem with hormones or with cysts, strongly manifested in stressful moments of life ...
For you it is most often related to emotional events related to the field of home, the pressures on personality and changes in the field of everyday life (can be also linked to your father) between 2012 and the end of 2014

although do not end here because the stress period will last until the end of 2016 but now more related to the general emotional state and your overall immunity, can then be reflected in the business plan, or the changes in the field of income

so in last two years you experienced a complete change in these fields of life... what exactly happend?

in such periods can lead to changes in health status
or worsening health problems related to:

cysts, or blood pressure, or inflammation / exhausting, or hormonal problems, or problems with fluids in the body, or cardiac arrhythmias, or combination the above problems ...
maybe something else ... I said the first thing that came to my mind

the next period can bring fall of imunity ...

please feedback

Thank you waybread, Frisiangal and sasa62! You gave me a lot of food for thought.

Waybread, you wrote:

"I have a left knee joint replacement, and the exact degree of my Jupiter in Capricorn is the left knee!"

How do you discern the influences in your chart for diagnosis? Is it because Capricorn rules bones? I really have to get that book or read good sites about medical astrology, links to good medical astrology sites will be very appreciated.

Are you familiar with the different parts of the body in relation to the different signs and houses? Basically it starts with Aries/first house and the head, Taurus/second house for the neck and shoulders, on down to Aquarius/11th house for the ankles and Pisces/12th house for the feet.

Capricorn rules the legs below the thighs and above the ankles. Perhaps by extention with its Saturn rulership, some sources would give Capricorn the skeletal system as a whole. Saturn rules bones generally, but then you can get more specific with different bones. For example, you would look to Aquarius for bones of the ankles.

I don't know of any good sites off-hand (Frisiangal??) but I recommend the books I cited previously. As always, Wikipedia has a brief overview. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medical_astrology I also found this on-line book: https://archive.org/details/Medastro . You might enjoy reading William Culpeper (17th century) who did for medical astrology and herbalism what William Lilly did for horary astrology.

I think it's also a good idea to have a real working knowledge of the human body and its functions. Eileen Nauman apparently trained as a paramedic, for example. There's a whole lot of medical astrology that I haven't explored (like decumbiture charts) so I don't claim any expertise.

"Ridder-Patrick gives the adrenal glands to 3 degrees Libra. This doesn't seem like a hot spot in your chart, although a transit could activate it. Rex E. Bills, in The Rulership Book gives:

adrenal glands: Jupiter, Libra (possibly sun, Scorpio)

Thank you for description of adrenal glands. I wonder, the fact that my Pluto is in seventh house, and this house is ruled by Libra in my chart, has some significance?
I don't know, but it might. Libra rules the kidneys, with the adrenal glands sitting on top of them, if we work our way, head to toe, through the signs.

Also, my chart ruler is Mars, and Mars is in Aquarius, so masculine planet in androgynous sign (as Frisiangal pointed out) could be a factor too?
Possibly-- I have a pretty "masculine" chart with 7 planets in air or fire, Mars conjunct sun, and (androgenous) Mercury ruling my ascendant. "Masculine" traits did not come out physically for me, but more in my self-expression. For example, I participate on several forums, and people who don't know my gender typically assume that I am male. When I was young the sister of one of my close friends seemed to have the health issues you describe but she married and so far as I know otherwise lived a typical feminine sort of life.

About the cycles of life and seasons in nature, I see, as you wrote, the joy and beauty of it in gardening, there has to be a respect and acceptance of natural cycles of birth, growth and ultimate death, which are very plutonian.

"When transiting Pluto squared my sun (which was awful,) I found taking night walks with the dog, just around my neighbourhood, to be therapeutic."

Could I ask, what have you particularly experienced during this period? I will try to take night walks too, especially now, when there is a beautiful full moon and clear sky with bright stars, like yesterday. I see it being therapeutic.
I was in my 30s, and had some success with my career (in a then very male-oriented field,) was happily married, had two beautiful children, &c. But suddenly the center just didn't hold. I didn't know who I was or why I was on the planet. At this time, I picked up astrology (in desperation, thinking it might have some answers) and got myself into therapy.

About living life "close to the bone", I have learned a little how to restrain my plutonian tendencies in interaction with people, and I try to give it a positive manifestation, because I see I need to experience it anyway. There were a lot of deep interactions with blurred emotional borders, and I experienced having emotional power and being totally powerless, and it shaped me now and made me more cautious.

Thank you for noting that I could be a good astrologer, I wish it could be true :) A lot of learning ahead of me.
Astrology is a life-long learning process. It will accelerate as you read charts for people and learn from their feedback. Good luck with it!

Also, I studied vertex within synastry context, but never as a separate being within my chart. Do you think the opposition to Sun is very meaningful in my chart? That I need to integrate consciously its teachings into my life or it will become apparent in life despite my will?

I highly recommend those Alice Portman articles, linked above. The vertex can manifest itself, for some people, as a sort of window into other dimensions. See also, Donna Henson, Vertex: The Third Angle. She gives the vertex a quality of fate or destiny. Given its parallels with the DC, she says it does bear on our relationships with other people, and what society expects of us.

Frisiangal, thank you for your input.

"Both secondary progressed Venus and Mars are now in a long sojourn in Pisces through the 12th house.
Maybe there is something more pressing behind the hormonal question?"

Thank you for this remark, and looking into my secondary progressions. Although, I'm not sure what you have in mind about more pressing question? Physical or emotional? Maybe tied to piscean subconscious?
Please, give me a clue.

To write down all that goes on in, and through, my mind when seeing a chart is not an easy process.

It's a personal feeling that the hormonal question, although primarily referring to astrological aspects, was asked with secondary thoughts and feelings in mind.
Both natal Venus and Mars are rulers of the Asc.-Desc. axis. The Moon-Pluto opposition in the T-square is across the 1st-7th house, the area of 'me' and a 'personal relationship'. MEAN Black Moon Lilith is a part of the T-square.
Moon in Taurus has need of 'substance'; that which can be touched, seen and appreciated for what it physically is.
BML is a calculated and non-physical point. It represents 'nothing physically in existence'. Its formless presence anywhere can be suggestive of that which does not/never physically occur(s), does not/never physically happen(s), according to the sign and house involved. Yet it can create inner images that can be very positive or very negative of nature. Scorpio is not an easy-going sign.

Simply said, there could be deep inner (emotional and traumatic) feelings that a 7th house relationship may never be on the cards because of what may be taken as a physical indisposition. The feelings can lie very deep; something of which one does not care to relate to (denial), let alone openly talk about (Mercury to Pluto-BML).
With Scorpio the tendency to allow things 'to eat away inside' that 'digs one's own grave' is ever present.
The most positive of BML's position is that it can eventually bring those Scorpionic emotions to the surface that will allow its inherent natural nature to be shown.

How will Venus and Mars work through Pisces in the 12th house? That depends upon how the individual chooses to use the energy. A 12th house energy can work wonders and perform miracles, as Waybread has already mentioned, when 'it's what's inside that counts' replaces mere outer features.

I don't know of any good sites off-hand (Frisiangal??)

Internet is full of them.

My favourites?
Max Heindels 'Guide to Healing' and 'Message in the Stars',
Greek Medicine Net,
World-of-Light 'Medical rulerships' - a vedic site yet wonderful information,

Harry F. Darling - 'Essentials of Medical astrology',
Donna Cunningham - 'dictionary of medical astrology.
Both are books partially available through the net. Darling's book is a fascinating read.

Aquamoonlight site,
Eileen Nauman - already mentioned,
Ingrid Naiman (my inspiration)'s site.

Practically every medical condition will bring up sites when linked with astrology. e.g. 'PCOS-astrology'.

Internet....A never ending source of information.

Sasa62, thank you too for response.

The stressful time, between 2012 and 2016, could be linked to my studies and having a lot of learning linked to pulling an all-nighter and drinking a lot of stimulating drinks maybe, coffee too, which I should not drink at all. Also alcohol. I studied law and now I'm an apprentice and it's so much to bear, especially when it's more of a duty than passion.

You write about a fall of immunity, how do you see it? It's interesting.

Okay if I understand you started work and these were changes your everyday life ...
I'm interested in the part where you said that you was hard (Pluto over the Sun)

This is the period that I describe as the pressure of authority to you or change their identity, or a problem with his father .. within the period up to 2014 and I would expect changes in the field of home, which can be any lasting change within your home or migration within the last two years approx ..

you did not give the answer that you have incurred some changes related to home or are these changes marked a change in the emotional part being?
Any termination of a relationship as a result of these changes or appearance of the person who has led in some way to change anything on an emotional level ... ??

So I know from the horoscope that you are completely changed as a person in the last few years, and that this period was very stressful and demanding ... and as such could bring and health indicators in this period, particulars that I supplied

but can not know the cause of these changes because I have given a few options .. and that's why I asked for feedback

I hope I was a clearer ..

sorry for my English

Moor, I started out in astrology as a big identity quest. I thought it could help me learn why I was on the planet. 24 years later, I still don't know why I am on the planet, but I learned a lot of astrology in the process. Sometimes the journey is the destination. When we start out on a road, do we ever reach the horizon?

Nicholas Culpeper, The Complete Herbal (1653) is a good place to start.

Also, I can well imagine how looking different could mess up a girl's teenage years. With Neptune and Saturn squaring your ascendant, you are kind of hard-wired for self-esteem issues surrounding your appearance.

How much of this baggage do you need today?

Perhaps you would like to focus on your first house strengths. The following key words may not resonate with you, but you can find some that do. The main thing is to have fun with it.

Have you ever had your colours analysed or had a makeover? (Be prepared to wipe off that goopy lipstick, but the colour analysis is really helpful.)

Aries rising: be yourself. Be who you wanna be. Wear more red. Get an exercise routine for fitness if you don't have one now, as Mars rules athletes. Let out your woman warrior.

Moon in Taurus: Earth Mother. (I'd wear natural fibres, clothes that can get you out into the garden or off for a walk. One-of-a-kind handmade sweaters by local crafters. Gems with special meaning for you. OK, OK, high-carat diamonds have special meaning for me. I mean, within reason and budget.)

A Taurus moon is fundamentally sensuous, so things that delight the senses might be a soothing herbal bath while you listen to spa music, fresh flowers for your table (supermarket carnations fit my budget!) or taking a ceramics class where you can get your hands in the clay.

Part of Fortune. In the first house?? How lucky can you get?

moon in taurus square mars and venus in aquarius
i have pcos
and a square involving mars/venus and moon
I can not say that is an absolute standard and that all women with this position will have this disease
but I'm sure this may have been activated by some transit
