By law, Trump's term expires at noon on January 20th 2021. At that moment, he will no longer be president. That will be so whether he concedes or not. By now, enough votes have been counted and Biden is far enough ahead in enough of the states that even if recounts change the outcome by a few hundred votes--which is the most recounts can do--he's definitely won. There's no law that says the losing candidate has to concede. They're still the losing candidate even if they don't.

So even if Trump is still refusing to concede on inauguration day, Biden will be sworn in and Trump will no longer be president. When Trump is no longer president, if he insists on staying in the White House, he will be trespassing on federal property. That will get him arrested if he really won't go.

Supreme Court smacks down any manipulation by tRump:
https://nationalinterest.org/blog/p...oral-college-must-support-popular-vote-164233

The unanimous decision comes after “faithless electors” in Washington and Colorado voted contrary to who they originally promised to support.

“State election laws evolved to reinforce that development, ensuring that a State’s electors would vote the same way as its citizens,” Justice Elena Kagan wrote for the court. “States listed only presidential candidates on the ballot, on the understanding that electors would do no more than vote for the winner.”

...curtailed any possible manipulation. Basically they laid out that the Electorates do not have any power of voting other than what the majority vote count indicates.

p.s. having been a landlord in my past I'd hope they don't have to evict him or that he becomes a squatter! Its hard on everyone and nothing to look forward to.....:rightful:

FACT CHECKING baseless LIE from tRump: More smoke, no fire!

https://www.cnn.com/2020/11/13/poli...laim-delete-trump-votes-fact-check/index.html
Dominion, a Canadian company founded in 2002 with US headquarters in Denver, is the second-largest provider of voting technology in the US, according to a 2017 report from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton Public Policy Initiative. In 2016, Dominion's technology was used in 1,635 jurisdictions in more than two dozen states, the report found.
Dominion has not responded to multiple requests for an interview with CNN, but it said in a publicly-released statement that the rumors about problems with its technology were false.

The company said it has not found data that back up OANN’s report or Mr Trump’s tweet.
Politifact said the claim is “inaccurate and ridiculous”
“Edison Research told us they have found no evidence of voter fraud. Dominion, state election officials and federal officials say there’s no evidence that millions of votes were miscounted,” it stated.

A headline on my phone this morning:

126 suitcases of uncounted ballots, found in Puerto Rico. Nor does any other U.S. islands

Uh oh. :pouty:

Opal:

Puerto Rico does NOT vote for Presidents of the United States!

Residents of Puerto Rico and other U.S. territories do not have voting representation in the United States Congress, and are not entitled to electoral votes for president.

Its best in the future, because of the lack of knowing their history lessons, you question most of the Republican Senators and Congress, (they now have QAnon people as well you know) - Just today, the Senator from Alabama (Republican) said that WW2 was libertated from the Socialist and the Communist.

(p.s. Russia was our ally), and we fought FACISM not Socialism.

Stupid is as stupid does in the Republican Party these days. It will get worse.

Of course, the uncounted votes mentioned in the New York Times article were ballots from Puerto Rico's mayoral and gubernatorial races. Puerto Rico does not vote in the U.S. presidential election.
Twitter users ridiculed the senator for his boasting about uncounted votes. Some said it was nonsense, while others chose to remind him of American civics and geography.

DR ANDREW APEL TESTIFYING as part of ongoing discussion

of disputes regarding the '....anything but secure

Dominion Voting System...'

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YeEW1oeLaVE
Fact check: false
It was a clerical error in one county in Michigan
that affected a few hundred votes and was quickly corrected,
and a couple of errors elsewhere that didn't affect vote counts
but did slow down the publication of the results.

Why a Data-Security Expert Fears U.S. Voting Will Be Hacked

Harri Hursti has spent 15 years trying to draw attention to

the weaknesses in America’s election systems
https://www.wsj.com/articles/why-a-data-security-expert-fears-u-s-voting-will-be-hacked-11587747159

Check the date on that article. It was written over six months before the election. Hacking may have been a reasonable fear at the time, but now that we've actually had the election, all credible sources say it was very secure. There's no evidence it was hacked.

If it was hacked, the hackers ******* up! If they were trying to skew the vote in favor of Republicans, they failed: Biden won. If they were trying to skew it in favor of Democrats, they failed: Republicans flipped several Democrat seats in both houses of Congress, shrank the Democrats' majority in the House of Representatives, and destroyed the Democrats' chances of becoming the majority in the Senate. The Georgia runoff can only make it a Republican majority (if at least one Republican wins) or a 50-50 split (if both Democrats win). One would think that if the election was hacked, one party would've taken it all. At the very least, if it was the Dems, they would've gotten rid of Mitch McConnell.

And the big concern back then was that if the 2020 election was hacked, it would be hacked in favor of Trump. That's not what Team Trump is alleging.

Furthermore, that article is specifically about the hacking vulnerability of voting machines, which can only be used for in person voting. In this election, the majority of voters voted absentee. There was much less use of machines.
