Career choices

Good morning Astro Community!
Saturn is crossing my Ascendent as we speak...so to speak lol..
So far my experience has been ...feeling more in tune with myself, yet not relating to others.
And in the last week or so , I feel more intuitive then usual...
The bad news....
I was terminated/fired from my job yesterday. I am an unemployed single mother. The icing on the cake is , my car is not running as of today..guessing it is the alternator....and I am 2 months behind in rent....almost homeless without a car...lol
Ironically..I feel a sense of peace....I was SOOO burnt out on my job! Longest job I have ever had..8 years. Fired , I believe for political reasons.
Time to make career choices, like anyone has options today...what a joke.
I have been advised to find employment with art and children...sounds nice, but I am a nurse. And tho I have more potential then most to find a job as a LPN....I still feel stuck and burnt out.
I am considering applying for long term disability. I have Fibromyalgia and Narcolepsy. I am so tired of feeling like I have to act like everyone else when physically and emotionally I am SOO exhauseated and unmotivated due to chronic pain:(
Any thoughts on career choices, ideas..would be very much appreciated!!
Thank you!

"In spite of all of this, got fibro and chronic fatigue (just too much responsibility as single head of household with no outside financial or emotional support)." quote from outside source.....

I believe I have fibro and narcolepsy for the same reasons.
Time for a change...would be alot easier if I didn't have 2 children to support without help....

OK, so 10th house cusp is Cancer - not surprising your a nurse with that nurturing crab in your career house! Ruler is the Moon, there in the 8th. Not only do you feel things deeply, you are also able to tease out the emotional subtext of people's actions and speech. Sun and Ascendant in air signs, think communication and thought...hmm...ever thought about retraining as a counsellor of some kind?

Thank you Inconjunct !
First time someone stated "you feel things deeply"..so true! and yes...complete strangers have been known to discuss personal issues with me. I have been told since I was young "You should be a counseller."
You hit me on the mark ! :)
Unfortunately..I have no desire to go back to school. Time and money are not on my side, lol !I really do love my "career"...but like most , I am so tired of the "job". The politics in the medical field are frankly embarrassing, it is indeed a buisness.
I am trying to figure out how to make a living and decrease my stress.
My caretaking lifestyle, and the fact I "feel things deeply"...have literally made me physically ill...(fibromyalgia/narcolepsy).
Working 8-5 M-F is productive for most people who need routine. Dayshift is miserable to me...I have done it for 8 years for my children and have never got used to it or felt normal.
Again considering applying for disability ...if only long enough to get healthy and figure out a creative way to use my talents....
Your input reminds me of discussing a project with my sister recently/ie; a counselling web page....;) hmmm

I was a nurse too, I know how stressful it can be. I moved into nurse education, and it's the best move I made. My life has improved immensely. I'm now looking to move out of that too (or at least go part time) and build up an astrology business, once I finish the astro diploma course I'm on, also going to retrain as a reflexologist (I have lots of "caring nursey" signatures in my chart as well) to give me another string to my bow. Your wellbeing is important - maybe going on disability for a while will give you the chance to take a breath and rethink. Maybe going back to school might turn out to be the best option!

Career options are assessed by MC any planets conjunct, where the ruler of MC is placed, it’s aspects, then 2nd house ‘how you earn your money’ and planets there, ruler of cusp and where it’s placed, then 6th house of ‘type of work you do’ any planets there and how they are aspected.

Researching rulers of houses will help you understand more where I joining the dots so to speak

Ruler of the Sixth House in the Second House
The health related fields may increase your income. You worry too much about money and possessions, although you may have good powers of discrimination when it comes to handling money. You're willing to work diligently for your money.

Ruler of 10th house in 9th house

Your professional success is related to your ideals, university degree, higher studies, religion and traveling. You may establish yourself professionally in a different place from that of your birth or your work could necessitate you to travel often. You always feel the need to expand your knowledge and to make the most of each day.

with three planets in 4th house, there will always be the suggestion of working from home. But I would suggest 'home care' help, visits, changing dressings or even working in care homes

your mars retrograde opp saturn/sun I can see playing out here which creates stop/go situations and frustrationsn, but saturn also has a square to neptune and this can create depression. Neptune also has a square to retro mars which turns inwards

Neptune in 2nd House = succeedent house
Idealistic about money and the use of material resources. Will generally donate generously to charitable, spiritual, and humanitarian causes. Intuitive, air of mystery, about how to earn money. But needs to develop practicality.
Could earn money in artistic way, such as acting (Pisces, being the most common sun sign) also born comedians. Always looking for ideal job ‑ doesn't necessarily mean you'll find it and won't always mean a steady paycheck ! Need and want a job where you can bring inspiration to people. Idealist in looking for work with fluctuating salary quite possible. Could earn money through Chiropody (Pisces ‑ Feet) Reflexology.
Pharmaceutical trade, tobacco kiosk. Schools of music, dancing, etc.

Good news is T Jupiter is now conj 8th house cusp and this is great for getting extra funds or bank loans or even remortgaging...

Thank you so much for your input!
The wheels are turning in my head and still reading links astrologer50 ..TY!
I am an avid reader and homebody...so relating well to this..tho not into formal education.
Would love to work from home , but have always considered Home Health as an option!
As far as school...pondering.....not even sure what I would study.
Love the arts...but consider my self an "appreciater"...and yes I do need a job inspiring or rather helping others...
thinking I need to figure out how to help myself first right now tho;)
Scared,depressed...yet hopeful now!
More thoughts and input always welcome!
thank you!

What with Mercury in the 4th house is sextile aspect to Jupiter in the 6th house, your best choice is still a job in nursing. It would probably pay the best. Both Jupiter and Mercury are unafflicted by malefics. Jupiter is in its home sign of Pisces and has a mutual reception with Venus.

Your health problems are shown by Mars opposing Saturn in your horoscope. As transiting Saturn moves away from your ascendant your health should improve and you will feel less depressed.

Your quote even sounds pretty!
Makes sense! Money of course is an issue when you are raising 2 children, and yes I consider my nursing education and abilities a gift!
Need to find something in Nursing with less stress...wonder if this is even possible?

you could try asking a 'horary question' if you have time to learn a few basics on how to do this....

re: will you get a job in nursing with less stress soon?

Thank you astrologer50!
Actually because I am exploring my options I posted a Horary question today:
"Will I be approved for disability this year?"
I really don't want to choose this option..but if push came to shove...I wonder if claiming disability even for a short time ...while I find a nursing job conducive for my health and children ...would be realistic???

end march 2012, T Jupiter from 8th to MC will make a sextile aspect, which are opportunities for employment
http://www.khaldea.com/kldaephem/2000/mar2012gmt.shtml

I would think (not assume mind you) that t jupiter in late 7th conj 8th cusp T Jupiter gets upto 10'20" (end august) before retrograding (going backwards) which is within 1' degree of 8th that you may be successful in getting benefits.. maybe come back and let us know, how you got on?
