Medicine career path?

Hello!!!

I have been into astrology 5 years, 3 years full time, but always my own chart is the most difficult to interpret. Too many emotions and too hard to be objective. So I would appreciate if you would share your ideas about my chart career directions.

I do have heavy Virgo-6th house emphasis, which would suggests medicine career path and actually this is something that interests me. I really love to deal with small details and to do analyzing.. (that`s why I also love astrology). I also get along with children very-very well!!! Although many house-wives have also strong 6th house emphasis... I got very high exam results, so I have no doubts that I can get into the university to study whatever I want.

I was thinking that a doctor should have strong Pisces-Neptune-12th house emphasis - because she is working in the institution. I do have strong Neptune in the 6th making square to MC - so my work atmosphere is full of illusions and also medicine (drugs). South Node in the 12th also pulls me into the unconscious and mysterious world of hospitals...

What seems confusing for me is the lonely, but strong Saturn in the 6th house (also ruling the 6th). It makes just one major aspect: opposition to Chiron in the 12th... . Chiron in 12th is something that a good doctor should have...:innocent: so to say.. understand the pain of the collectives... of the poor and wounded ones..

So I have it all.. but on the other hand I can`t really decide which doctor to become..:andy: Whether to go the dentist or doctor direction?

I will appreciate your ideas...

Here is my chart...

Unaspected Saturn- The positive qualities of seriousness, conformity, practicality and responsibility are projected in the character of an individual who possesses an unaspected Saturn. Though they may not be overly charming or popular, they are usually well-trusted and respected.

In its unaspected condition, Saturn's inclination towards solitude can be emphasized. However, since Saturn develops structure better when being tested thru rigorous life experiences, its lack of aspects here could suggest that less circumstances are available to properly test out its strengths and weaknesses. Saturn in aspect with another planet allows that planet (or part of the psyche) to become productive in a sensible, responsible manner. The planet is more grounded and better able to function realistically. But when unaspected, this normally dutiful planet can become more indifferent or unconcerned about processess outside of its own singular sphere of operation.

Structure and definitions are found only in limited areas of life, and are not related to the remaining components of the overall nature. Therefore, this could imply that the individual is not motivated to take direct, conscious control over many parts of his nature. Self-discipline and organization of needs may be markedly lacking as well as caution or self-preservation.

You have calculated your chart using the default on astro.com of placidus and I use Equal House system and am a modern astrologer. Lots of people that come into Astrology get their free charts calculated at www.astro.com and the default ‘house system’ used is Placidus and think that’s just the norm and all that there is……..BUT that is just the tip of the iceberg. You can change the default on astro.com in Extended Chart selection to Equal house and a few more.

Throughout the forums but mainly in natal astrology there are two main branches Placidus (unequal size houses) v Equal House (whereby each house is same size) but lots more……. For more information on these go here.

It's only with study and research will you be able to assess where your planets are deposited and in which houses... thus see which 'glove fits'

So only mars would be 2nd, the rest in late first house. Your pluto is a singleton to.

Uranus and Neptune square MC could prove little difficult.

Neptune in Square to Midheaven
Without a firm sense of who you are and where you're headed, you may be subject to more than your share of downtime career-wise. You may find yourself a target for deceptive career schemes and false promises. Some of this can be avoided by getting into some serious career counseling and making whatever effort necessary to become knowledgeable in your chosen field. Your biggest challenge may be to avoid getting sidetracked by doubts about your choices. You don't have to compromise your search for your ideal life's work. You'll just have to make some focused efforts in order to achieve

Consider some of the following career potentials: acting, any of the helping professions, working as a healer, undercover agent, psychologist, or in the arts (music, singing, dancing, painting), psychic channeling, anything connected to the sea, writing novels, or working in the field of chemistry and pharmaceuticals.

Uranus in Squareto Midheaven
You can be an extremely efficient worker. You have an aptitude for finding shortcuts and this inborn talent comes in very handily in the career department. Your innermost self rebels at having to put up with a steady dose of being told what and how to do something. This is because you have an inventive mind that can zero in on a more effective way to get the job done. Alas, there are too many who would rather stick with the tried and true.

These experiences can encourage you to find a way to be your own boss. You may be drawn to unusual career choices or those which allow you to express your unique ideas in some capacity. Here are some career possibilities to consider: broadcaster, astrologer, high tech communications worker, computer whiz, airline pilot or airline worker, inventor, electrician, social activist, consultant, humanitarian and anything that falls into the New Age category.

Career options are assessed by MC any planets conjunct, where the ruler of MC is placed, it’s aspects, then 2nd house ‘how you earn your money’ and planets there, ruler of cusp and where it’s placed, then 6th house of ‘type of work you do’ any planets there and how they are aspected.

Researching rulers of houses will help you understand more where I joining the dots so to speak

Using whole sign houses, Saturn is in the 7th house and in domicile. It is very strong, and it rules the 6th house which is significator of all medical occupations. Mercury, Venus and Mars the traditional significators are together in the second house. Mercury is in domicile and has essential dignity. This can indicate success in a medical career. Saturn rules teeth so a career in dentisty is also suggested here.

Thank you very much for your responses!!!

Yes, I have also worked and tried my chart with the equal houses. i think they work, but placidus is better... :innocent:

I don`t like that in equal houses i have 4 planets in 1st house!!!! Too much focus on one thing!!

Yes, I was also thinking that Saturn rules the teeth.. and therefore being in my 6th house.. "the work you do".. would fit with it...

So from the MC and it`s aspects, plus the ruler of MC and it`s position... MC in Aries - career that needs action and strong drive...
MC ruler Mars in Virgo in 2nd house - career path that has to be driven by perfect and healthy physical body
MA square Moon in 11th - so the career path is in connection with caring about others through dexterity or information...
MC square Neptune - here we have this drugs and sacrifices in the job...
MC square Uranus - this might be my astrology career
so the MC shows medicine direction,
but the exact field should be found through the 6th house... :joyful:

so here again we have first this singleton Saturn in 6th.. and then the Uranus-Neptune conjunction on the cusp of the 6th house..
so from my alternative hobby could develop a collectively helping and sacrifices needing job...

but still which planet i should look more in order to find the exact direction??

In Whole Sign you only have 2 planets in you first and 3 planets in your second.
Your natal is what the oldtime astrologers called a "sunrise chart", which they considered to be a special kind of nativity (we are talking about the Greco/Roman and also the hermetic astrologers of Harran here): the Sun posited in the 1st house, in its rulership and applying (within orb) of conjuncting the ascending degree, means that your Will (force of personality) allows you to become whatever you want to become-choose wisely!

Thank again!!

It is very interesting to hear the opinion of astrologers who use different system than I do.. such as whole sign houses or equal houses... :joyful:

Any more ideas?
you have had lots of responses from members, what's the matter have you not 'heard' what you want to here, or have confirmed your own findings?

Have you researched your pluto singleton ie: only planet in water element, which I would have though imperative for doctors, medicine and caring professions...

You also have a talent triangle with pluto as apex..

lastly, I notice T Saturn is currently conj your IC making responsibilities and duties connected to home and family...

I have thought little bit at the meanwhile and I have realized that I have three career options/directions in my life.

After viewing Noel Tyl book about Vocations...

One is connected with my angular Leo Sun making a trine to MC. This could be entertainment, performing career.

Another one is connected with my strong Mercury in Virgo, making a cnj with MC ruler Mars. So this could be service-oriented, handcraft career.

And the third one is connected with my strong Saturn in Aquarius in it`s own ruled house, in mutual reception with Uranus in Capricorn in 5th/ Uranus square MC. So this could be new age, technological career.

Or maybe there are some things in my chart.. that I haven`t noticed? :andy: Or even haven`t wanted to notice?

And the third one is connected with my strong Saturn in Aquarius in it`s own ruled house, in mutual reception with Uranus in Capricorn in 5th/ Uranus square MC. Or maybe there are some things in my chart.. that I haven`t noticed? :andy: Or even haven`t wanted to notice?

seems you like to mix Trad and modern when it suits. your stellium in Virgo suggests *service* health industries, but virgoans, due to be extremely analytical can be found in accountancy, finance and banking industries, where they can pay attention to all those lovely little details...

mars/venus in 2nd Equal house, now these two due to being in the house of 'taurus' love property, or buy to let

What IS keeping you sitting on the fence is your Gemini moon, which (like pisces and libra) is restless, procrastinating and indecisive, in fact gemini are notorious for *sitting on the fence* and not making decisions at all, if they can get away with it.

Uuh.. this Mercury retrograde in Virgo makes people so critical!! :biggrin:Anyway..

Everybody see a chart from the unique angle. Whether it be then somebody who has been into the field long or short time. :joyful: And that`s the most important. The outsider view to the chart.. objectivity... Like I mentioned already before.. I have difficulties seeying myself objectively.. or at least believe to have problems with it... :andy:

I haven`t found singleton Pluto to be important for caring professions.. so it is interesting to research it... thanx!!!

I have always used tighter orbs, so therefore I haven`t considered the sextile between Pluto and Mars, but thanx for the links!! But you right!! It is really worth researching!!

Yes, you right. I do experiment with both traditional and modern. Sometimes I feel one works better and then the second one.. Although I have to admit that actually both work very well.

Yes, I do love details. + 2nd house influence. Putting books, money or things in the right order, really gives me satisfaction.

Thank you!!

If you discover what it is you love the most then go for it!

That's what I have to do, because I love too many things I have to choose one.

I agree with Dr. Farr. You seem very capable its just a matter of choice/will. It seems analyzing a chart is not good at this point you had so many responses. So just do what you love! Spirit blesses you when you do what you love. In other words whenever you put forth love energy into something it blesses you. It makes sense. If you don't love your job you won't get a promotion cause you won't care or won't want to. But if you love your career you will do your best.
