I have been teaching myself astrology for a few weeks now. I'm starting to attempt to understand what the numbers in each degree means and understand the aspects better.
How long did it take you to learn astrology?
How did you learn?
I'm very interested in the psychiatric aspects of astrology, as well as how it relates to astronomy and science.
Welcome to this forum, sailormoon!
It takes a long time to learn astrology and you have to begin with the basics.
What I did first is make cards, one for each sign, with the signs on the front and their meanings on the back. Then I did the same with the planets, and then the houses. Then I spent a lot of time learning about each one. When you grasp the meanings of the signs, planets and houses, get them memorized, then you can start thinking about different signs on a planet, planets in different houses and so on.
At the same time, and before I knew
anything, with permission I cast a chart for everyone I knew and met. And then I paid attention to them and looked at their chart.
I think I learned as much from one approach as the other, but neither stands alone. You have to do both! And happily, the learning never ends
.
I am wishing you great fun learning astrology. It's very interesting.
