Interpretation of fixed stars is a rather advanced field; you must realize that many of the extreme indications connected with them are from medieval times, and while not necessarily inaccurate, these meanings must be blended with the totality of influences involving that star and the planet it is connected with and the house (department of life or anatomical body/health connection) the star is in; the understanding of the star's nature will be aided by the Robson book-look at the "nature" listed for each star (such as, for example, "Saturn-Mars" natureZ) then go to the list of descriptions of such natures, which precedes the specific star entries in his book; blend these descriptions with the specifc star influences given under each star; use Morse's "The Living Stars" as a cross-reference for this information; as a secondary, additional reference you can then go to Ebertin. Also remember that stars in parallel of declination will have a greater influence (generally) and should be accorded greater delineative emphasis (generally) than stars in longitudinal conjunction; remember to keep the orbs tightZ: for parallel of declination, usually 1 degree; for longitudinal conjunction: 3 degrees for 1st mag stars; 2 for 2nd and 3rd mag stars; 1 for 4th and 5th mag stars, or for nebulae.
