Re: Playlist of the Week(music)

I recommend the beautiful, dreamy, ethereal, windwhispers of
Enigma MCMXC a.D....

take me back to the rivers of belief
take me back to the rivers of belief
my friend...

look inside my heart
look inside my soul
i promised you i would return

take me back to the rivers of belief
take me back to the rivers of belief...
"and when the lamb opened the 7th seal
.silence hovered in the sky"

take me back to the rivers of belief
we wish for peace..
on the rivers of belief..

Ocean of Noise...
http://hk.youtube.com/watch?v=c-8nhzlXIIw

A bit like if Chris Issack, and Roy Orbison had a child,
just heard this today,
there is something grandoise about it.

Julie,
I still havn't listened to any of these by September, lyrics look great though.

Warf,
Take a bath...Ok?
That stuff get's sticky after awhile, ya may pick up a nasty rash.

Ocean of Noise Lyrics:
In an ocean of noise
I first heard your voice
Ringing like a bell
As if I had a choice, oh well!

Left in the morning
While you were fast asleep
Into an ocean of violence
A world of empty streets

You've got your reasons
And me I've got mine
But all the reasons I gave
Were just lies to buy myself some time

Re: Playlist of the Week(music)

I don't listen to a lot of the songs either, I like reading the lyrics I enjoy it when video's are posted with lyrics. September is my favorite dance singer, I have been waiting for her first album to arrive, the mercury retrograde delayed it. I have re-ordered it so it should be here today, yay . I have different taste in music from sad songs , dance songs, to indie, to cheesy pop. I buy it all if I like it. I hate being pigeonholed to just like one kind of music just to be cool. The more uncool the better (only joking I have to like it). Good lyrics you posted T.square, I must be having some transits affecting me now as I am loving music, poetry, and art all the more at the moment. I will have to get back into my movies as well or television. I think there is thread for movies not sure for general television, I am in the mood to hunt out some television for some reason.

I Particularly like these lyrics

Left in the morning
While you were fast asleep
Into an ocean of violence
A world of empty streets

I Feel It All-Feist

I'm in love.

Great vid too, like the fireworks......I wonder if she got in in take 1, I suppose it would be a bit rough setting up take 2, or 3, bit like setting up dominoes.

Re: Playlist of the Week(music)

Radiohead (I've been obsessed with them lately- perhaps it was because of their touring in my city):
*Nude
*Paranoid Android
*Climbing Up The Walls
*House of Cards
*Jigsaw Falling Into Place

Hedwig and the Angry Inch:
*The Origin of Love
*Midnight Radio
*Wig In a Box
*Wicked Little Town

I want that new Coldplay album.... Or at least Viva La Vida....I wanna hear the song in its entirety now. Am I the only one who has seen the Apple commercial with that song?

Re: Playlist of the Week(music)

Way back when I was a kid
My mother, she always said
There are those who will do you wrong
To make you feel as if you don't belong

Way back when I was a kid
My father, he always said
Be sure to speak your mind
Just be prepared to pay

Be prepared
Nothing comes without expense
Be prepared to face up to the consequence
Not everybody feels the same as you
There are those who will oppose
What you say and what you do

Now that I'm away and fully grown
Now that I'm out and living on my own
I have discovered that they we're right
I am thankful for their advice

I just do just what I do
Even at the risk of upsetting you
First, I must satisfy myself
Before I can please anybody else

Be prepared
Nothing comes without expense
Be prepared to face up to the consequence
Not everybody feels the same as you
There are those who will oppose
What you say and what you do

Tsquares Naive Obama Song
Sam Cooke-A Change IS Gonna Come

Lets see what you've got Obama.

Other songs on mind.....songs I want on Obamas playlist.

Fake Empire-The National
http://songza.com/z/7qvlcl

Rage Against The Machine
-Testify-
http://songza.com/z/ka3ck9

The movie ran through me
The glamour subdued me
The tabloid untied me
I'm empty please fill me
Mister anchor assure me
That Baghdad is burning
Your voice it is so soothing
That cunning mantra of killing
I need you my witness
To dress this up so bloodless
To numb me and purge me now
Of thoughts of blaming you
Yes the car is our wheelchair
My witness your coughing
Oily silence mocks the legless boys
Who travel now in coffins
On the corner
The jury's sleepless
We found your weakness
And it's right outside your door

Now testify
Now testify
It's right outside your door
Now testify
Yes testify
Its right outside your door

With precision you feed me
My witness I'm hungry
Your temple it calms me
So I can carry on
My slaving sweating the skin right off my bones
On a bed of fire I'm choking on the smoke that fills my home
The wrecking ball is rushing
Witness your blushing
The pipeline is gushing
While here we lie in tombs
While on the corner
The jury's sleepless
We found your weakness
And it's right outside your door

Now testify
Yeah testify
It's right outside your door
Now testify
Now testify
It's right outside your door

Mass graves for the pump and the price is set
And the price is set
Mass graves for the pump and the price is set
And the price is set
Mass graves for the pump and the price is set
And the price is set
Mass graves for the pump and the price is set
And the price is set

Who controls the past now controls the future
Who controls the present now controls the past
Who controls the past now controls the future
Who controls the present now?

Now testify
Testify
It's right outside your door
Now testify
Testify
The war is right outside your door

Pink Floyd-On the Turning Away
http://songza.com/z/tcujwb

On the turning away
From the pale and downtrodden
And the words they say
Which we wont understand
Dont accept that whats happening
Is just a case of others suffering
Or youll find that youre joining in
The turning away

Its a sin that somehow
Light is changing to shadow
And casting its shroud
Over all we have known
Unaware how the ranks have grown
Driven on by a heart of stone
We could find that were all alone
In the dream of the proud

On the wings of the night
As the daytime is stirring
Where the speechless unite
In a silent accord
Using words you will find are strange
And mesmerized as they light the flame
Feel the new wind of change
On the wings of the night

No more turning away
From the weak and the weary
No more turning away
From the coldness inside
Just a world that we all must share
Its not enough just to stand and stare
Is it only a dream that therell be
No more turning away?

This is tooo good.
Repost.
This is why Hendrix is considered the greatest guitar player that ever lived.
IT wasn't just a freak show....look at the mastery...the ability to fuse himself with every note...every movement....it's pure beauty, more then noise...it doesn't even look like he's even playing the guitar....he's making love with the thing...he is the guitar....it's brilliant.
It looks like he's having a good time too.

Come back and haunt us Hendrix, anytime you wish.

Re: Playlist of the Week(music)

Hi. About a month ago a friend of mine turned me on to a newly arrived female vocalist/musician whom goes by the last name of 'Wonderful'...she is being promoted by Bob Dylan.
I lost her first name and now cannot remember the website she was on either. I am out of contact with my friend so I haven't any other way to figure it out.
She sounded quite good and I would like to check out her music some more...does anyone have any info on this that could help me out here?
I'd appreciate it.

WOW...none of these links work.

Beck -Scarecrow

http://songza.fm/~taqdy8

I'm walkin to the other side
With the devil tryin to take my mind
And my soul's just a silhouette
In the ashes of a cigarette

Illusions that reflect their lies
Trick cards fool the eye
Carry zeros over till they add up
Bury tears in the chapters you shut
Sometimes the jail can't chain the cell
And the rain's too plain to tell
All alone by a barren well
The scarecrow's only scarin himself

I've been diggin the ground
Thru the dust and the clouds
I see miles and miles
And the junkyard piles
I wanted hope from a grave
I wanted strength from a slave
What gives you comfort now
Might be the end of you then

Beck - Its All In Your Mind

Wounded Cougar - Drop Your Panties
http://songza.fm/~u4ea8u

******* - Tom Petty

******* - Beck

Not sure who did ******* first...never heard the Beck version before.
Beck did it first? na...

BEck - E-Pro
http://songza.fm/~qqkqdx

Beck was asked about this venting, and admitted that it wasn't empty. "It's kind of letting out an intense feeling, and it's looking for some kind of humanity, trying to find something above the anger," Beck explained. "And it's about loud guitars," he added.

Most of these I haven't heard in over a year...allot of random stuff.
Having fun with Beck.
Great Beck lyrics site(you need it), other stuff here too...

http://whiskeyclone.net/ghost/songinfo.php?songID=516

Should be a new Beck Album this fall.

Re: Playlist of the Week(music)

Flow gently, sweet Afton, among thy green braes!
Flow gently, I'll sing thee a song in thy praise!
My Mary's asleep by they murmuring stream -
Flow gently, sweet Afton disturb not her dream!
thou stock dove whose echo resounds thro the glen,
Ye wild whistling blackbirds in yon thorny den,
Thou green crested lapwing, thy screaming forbear -
I charge you, disturb not my slumbering Fair.
How lofty, sweet Afton, thy neighbouring hills,
Far mark'd with the courses of clear, winding rills!
There daily I wander, as noon rises high,
My flocks and my Mary's sweet cot in my eye.
How pleasant thy banks and green vallies below,
Where wild in the woodlands the Primroses blow
There oft, as mild Ev'ning weeps over the lea,
The sweet scented birk shades my Mary and me.
Thy crystal stream Afton, how lovely it glides,
And winds by the cot where my Mary resides!
How wanton thy waters her snowy feet lave,
As, gathering sweet flowerets, she stems thy clear wave!
Flow gently, sweet Afton, among thy green braes!
Flow gently, sweet river, the theme of my lays!
My Mary's asleep by thy murmuring stream -
Flow gently, sweet Afton disturb not her dream!

Quicksand - David Bowie

You can tell me all about it
On, the next Bardo
I'm sinking in the quicksand

And I ain't got the power anymore"
