Air vs earth sign collective un/consciousness / dominance

So I’ve been pondering over Air vs earth sign generational outer planets.

- What about efforts to ground personal planets that contact/houses ruled by Air (and fire) generational planets. Eg Mercury Leo in 12th, ruled by Neptune (Aquarius generation).

It appears to me so far it’s particularly difficult to ground a planet in an air/fire sign when it’s positioned in a house my generational planet rules. My generational Neptune (Aquarius), Uranus (Aquarius), Pluto (Sag). So I don’t have first hand experience with generational planets in earth signs....
