Sorry to hear this. Are you Permanent staff? If not then I suppose they not gonna pay out ........... so many ppl right now....

Contract is temporary as is all the sales assistant jobs. The uk government is said to be paying 80% off wages but bet temporary contracts won’t be one of them, it’s just one up from a zero hour contract.

Anyway, Apps is bi, not homosexual. He's in love with a woman, and if she were still alive, he'd even marry her if she wanted him to.

One's sexual preference should not be of interest to anyone other then to one's spouse or "significant other". Thats MY religion! A spiritual one, not needed for some early higher authority's interpretation.

Jesus saved the young man who the Roman guard had a young servant? (doesn't say WHAT the "servant" did for him, only that the Roman guard loved the young man - Jesus didn't inquire about his sexuality first, nor moralize , just healed the boy:

Luke-7-10
Jesus Heals a Roman Officer's Servant

7 When Jesus had finished saying all these things to the people, he went to Capernaum. 2 A Roman officer there had a servant who was very dear to him; the man was sick and about to die. 3 When the officer heard about Jesus, he sent some Jewish elders to ask him to come and heal his servant. 4 They came to Jesus and begged him earnestly, “This man really deserves your help. 5 He loves our people and he himself built a synagogue for us.”
6 So Jesus went with them. He was not far from the house when the officer sent friends to tell him, “Sir, don't trouble yourself. I do not deserve to have you come into my house, 7 neither do I consider myself worthy to come to you in person. Just give the order, and my servant will get well. 8 I, too, am a man placed under the authority of superior officers, and I have soldiers under me. I order this one, ‘Go!’ and he goes; I order that one, ‘Come!’ and he comes; and I order my slave, ‘Do this!’ and he does it.”
9 Jesus was surprised when he heard this; he turned around and said to the crowd following him, “I tell you, I have never found faith like this, not even in Israel!”
10 The messengers went back to the officer's house and found his servant well.
Just thought I'd poke my head in for "random thoughts" :rightful: :whistling:

I couldn't think off hand where Jesus ever qualified a person first as to their sexual disposition, but simply knew their hearts!

note: It's just my own opinion and values, I've always held, both as a born roman Catholic (fallen away LONG ago), and now Agnostic believer in Christ as my spiritual mentor. I don't expect others to understand this or even care, but I look at people who judge others based on how they were born, as not yet evolved. Call it my Leo Moon, lol. Not looking down on them, for being so judgemental, but just admitting to my own human "potential fallibility" on the subject.

I HAD to put this little cardboard sign on my door last week, when the Jehovahs Witnesses and the Mormon Temple near me, would not listen to the "No Trespassing Sign" you can also see - to the left of my door. I hope they see this and leave me the hell alone, (hee hee hee).....after 55 years of this ****. (at least since age 20ish)

Ukpoohbear: I wasn't sure if you were US but after carefully looking at the chosen name, I see "UK" and hope soon, you will find the necessary job or government aid that must be given to the people. Sometimes its a matter of "red tape" and consulting with someone who knows the ropes in any given country. God Bless you, and I hope you will soon be helped in these questionable times. XX00 (hugs to you)

Where does it say that he was gay? And the gay Centurion built a synagogue? He sent the elders so he was at least a proselyte (loving the people and their laws).

Hello:

I didn't say anything at all about the Centurion being Gay, nor that of his "servant" whether he was bi-gay or even a Eunuch did I? Although of course, many have hypothesized that he may have been as the Roman soldiers of higher rank were known to have "attendants" who were eunuchs.

I was simply stating my own feelings on the whole idea of LGBTs in the world and that Jesus (there are many references to him and the NT or OT around here and I"ve not yet chimed in until now)....Loved unconditionally!

IF it wasn't that important to Jesus, it certainly is not important to me, :whistling:

Jesus didn't have omniscience (he didn't know the day or hour of his coming), but he certainly had one superpower - that is to perfectly read the hearts of men - John 2:25. He many times said that men who lie down with men (menbedders, not just sexually attracted) will not inherit the kingdom of God in Revelation and also through his apostle Paul, and he also prophesied that one sign that will precede his coming will be that men will be marrying and being given into marriage as it was in the days of the Flood. - Matt. 24:37-39 We can accept this or we can rebel against it.

There are Gay marriages, btw.

As for the OT, I don't see it perhaps the way you would interpret, I see it mostly as RULES from the Torah and other sources, meant to keep the people "in check" i.e. in line. Perhaps they were "unruly" then.:innocent: There is no proof whatsoever of the 40 years in the desert wandering that is also in there, and even Jewish people admit that now, it simply never was certainly not in Egypt. Taking "story/license" was done there, much like today in Hollywood when a "based on the true story", shouldn't be digested as totally factual.

Anyway, I usually ignore the OT certainly as factual, and just take the inspirational things like the Psalms and digest them - and only invest my time and mind to the NT and in specific, Jesus OWN words, for surely man has re-interpreted, translated and did his thing (the Council of Nicea for example), over 2,000 years with those gospels. Even Saul i.e. Paul didn't know him personally, and could not attest to his exact words. He simply interpreted the way everyone does, as they wish to. "Coloring Jesus words to match his own beliefs"...
Jesus also said the 10 Commands of Moses were good ones to practice, and said he didn't come to do away with THEM, only that his 11th Command (Jesus 11th command) was the "Greatest of them all"

Matthew 22:-37=39
37 And He said to him, “ ‘aYoushalllovetheLordyourGodwithallyourheart, andwithallyoursoul, andwithallyourmind.’
38 This is the greater and foremost commandment.
39 The second is like it: "You shall love each other as you love yourself"

Another to the point way of saying this is found in John:

John 13:34 New King James Version (NKJV)

34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.

Jesus never mentioned "menbedders" that I'm aware of.

Of course there are, and more and more in various countries, this is why I believe Jesus of Nazareth was a great and infallible prophet - men will be marrying and will be given into marriage as in the days of the Flood, where there was homosexuality and beastility. And there is pornography, sure that didn't exist in the Noah days!

John 13:34 New King James Version (NKJV)

34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.

''For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome.'' - 1 John 5:3

You are free to believe anything - there is freedom of religion in most western countries, and I thank God for that. It is thus also allowed for religions to decide what is moral or not, and what is true or false. I believe everything what the Bible said is true, if so many prophecies are true, why should I doubt the rest of it?

Jesus never mentioned "menbedders" that I'm aware of.

He mentions the sexually immoral ''οἱ πόρνοι'', which you can't understand without Leviticus 18 in Rev. 22:15. His shaliah/apostle Paul talks about ''menbedders'', there is no twisting that, all there is left is to reject and rebel against what is written as the word of God. In Jewish thinking the shaliah represents the sender himself - John 13:20. And it is important to remember the Jewish spirit of the scriptures and avoid much wordly noise out there.

I agree with you petosiris, we are FREE to believe anything with our freedoms allotted in this country. The rest is just not my way.

As for your mention of sexual immorality? Greek, Aramaic, or Latin, whatever, one cannot understand fully the OT unless one understands it was different time and a different place, then Jesus of Nazareth. I believe too, he was an Essene and wrote a Kindle book about this based on Cayce's readings among other historians of the day. Mr. Cayce said he was one who practiced "the spirit of the law" and John (his cousin) in the southern part of today's modern Israel) practiced "the LETTER of the Law"...Quite a difference here and not at all a subtle one.

I beliee I already said, that Paul/Saul whatever, was not Jesus, and therefore, his words can be contrived, although for sure, he was one of the main architects of today's Churches, starting with the "Roman" catholic church for sure.

Have you ever read the Gospel of Thomas? These are said to be "his" exact words. Not 2nd, 3rd or 4th hand person telling you what he said. Many scholars of the Bible (both Old & New) have translated this after many years of great work, and except for a few nuanced changes which doesn't really upset the apple cart of the meanings, all agree.

Nothing here about sexual immorality either.:innocent:

Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are 4th hand persons? The Gospel of Thomas was rejected by the early Christians and so it isn't included in the canon. That is it for me. Verse 30 is an interesting satanic prophecy though, too bad it is a fourth century ''Christian'' falsehood.

Shaul never contradicted Jesus, and you sure do not understand the Jewish principle of agency in Genesis 18 and John 13:20.
