When analyzing transits, which kind of chart should I use?

The question by itself is very straightforward, but let me indecisive...
I want to know, if when I observe positions and aspects from the transits, should I apply them normally to the Natal chart or use a Progressed chart would be the right to do...Which method is more effective?

Comparing the transits to the natal chart is very important and valid by itself, but many professional astrologers compare several things at once.

Using the tools of chart comparison, you can arrange them as concentric circles. I use natal, transits, solar arc directions, and secondary progressions combined.

Many astrologers simply use transits with progressions and natal.

There are other methods preferred by other astrologers.

Unless you are very experienced I think the most direct process is transits ON natal chart. And delineate one at a time, beginning with the slowest planet, as the outer planets are the 'stage-setters'. The inner planets are the activators.
