Receptions / detriment

I'm drawing a blank.

In my chart, I'm Mars in Leo and Sun is in Mars' detriment in Cancer. Does a planet being in the other's detriment mean they are unable to act or does it mean the planet (Sun in this case) is not favorable towards Mars?

Sun receives you by sign, your in suns sign. Sun in cancer your in mars fall, so YOU feel unable to act for whatever reason.

with reference to thread title RECEPTION :smile:

in horary for reception to occur an aspect is required
Cancer and Leo are in disregard aka in AVERSION aka DISJUNCT
thus there is no meaningful reception
therefore as has been noted:

so reception is cancelled so far as horary is concerned
natal is different
