I am in the building industry. The move to steel studs, instead of lumber, which the price of more than doubled last month is rocking the industry. Solar panels are being installed on houses new and aftermarket with increasing regulatory. It will take a while for the complete shift, but the monetary penalty of using wood products will drive the shift.
It is visible, while builders retool, to accommodate the changes.
