How does this work exactly?

Does the aspect of Ascendant conjunct moon mean that one's emotional strength (Moon) is aligned with their physical appearance (Ascendant)? Does it also mean that one's emotional strength (Moon) is aligned with who they are (Ascendant)?

Also another question I have is does conjunction mean aligned with as in the planets involved have a particular relationship which causes them to work side by side as a team, or does it mean something else?

another option is, after creating the natal chart
then save the chart to your desktop
then when on the thread click to edit your post
then scroll down to the Attach Files box
then click on Manage Attachments
and follow the instructions on the screen to upload your chart that way

When a conjunction is working well, then the planets involved are working side by side as a team.

But that depends upon what the relationship between the planets is, and how they are placed.

For example, the Moon conjunct Saturn in Capricorn. It might be difficult for these 2 to be working side by side as a team because Saturn is more powerful, especially in it's own sign, and the Moon is in it's fall. So the native might not feel they can express themselves emotionally and will be guarded and locked down.

So this conjunction might not be seen as positively as Moon conjunct Venus in Pisces might feel. That could be an example of the 2 working as a team and both giving space and respect to the other.



As for your specific example, of Moon conjunct Ascendant, I think the sign placement would be very important. As well as the house placement of the Moon.


The Moon/Ascendant pairing represents one's 'personal relationship to other people.'

Having a conjunction between the 2 would probably mean that the native could quickly make others feel comfortable and could quickly assess other people and what they need to feel listened to, and secure.

If in water signs, it could indicate strong intuitive/psychic energy. Perhaps a psychic healer, if water or earth placement? Or a psychologist, therapist?

Fire/Air placement could indicate a true leader, a spiritual guru type persona, a popular, energetic type of charisma?

It can also mean a very well coordinated person, athletically, musically, physically. Dancing, rhythm, gymnastics, etc. Innate physical talents.

Someone with Moon conjunct Ascendant may attract a lot of women/lovers because they feel safe and cared for, perhaps. But a lot depends upon the other aspects, of course. If there is a tight square or opposition from Mars/Saturn/Pluto then that could be working in the opposite way...

Moon on ASC brings the feelings to the face. To the immediate moment and whoever is there to witness it. So if you are feeling positive you will look that way. If you feel sad or anxious you will look that way. And the moon rules the "mother's influence" and that will also be part of the projection of the ASC.

whether that conj is overall supportive or undermining has to do with the entire chart and the transits at any time.

the fallacy that planets work "together" as a "team" is common. I have used that term but in fact every energy is a one dimensional trait or set of traits and if there is a planet next to it the same is true of that other chart. They will work at the same TIME but they don't "know" each other. They don't work together.

the person who has this conjunction will get used to feeling these 2 energies at the same time. The person will get used to thinking of this as ONE dynamic.

The transits to any close conjunction can be either very positive and supportive and notable depending upon the length of the time the transiting planet lasts; or it can be undermining and feel like it is going on forever.

This issue becomes MORE complicated if there is a 3rd or 4th planet in the conjunction (or stellium.)
