Oh my, as Lapis said on the thread having to do with Jupiter in Scorpio, Lapis is right on when addressing "climate", as you will see here by Robert Wilkinson: (and believe me, I have MORE to come):
we're in the heart of a huge "storm zone" created by a Grand Fixed Cross that is affecting us all. If you're a sentient being who feels, you have no doubt had some very deep and perhaps conflicted emotions lately. That's a very natural response to what's going on all over the world right now, and not a bad thing as long as you didn't do anything thoughtless, self-destructive, or hurtful to others. And I'm sure none of my readers would do these things, so take heart! The on-going effect of Mars retrograde as part of the Cross is also frustrating to many I've spoken with, who all express how tired they are of the eternal conflicts, stresses and strains it seems like everyone's going through.
Well, it's no big deal to be happy and upbeat when things are going our way and it's all blue sky in front of us. It's only during the challenging times that we show our strength and our willingness to adapt to a greater good or more effective way to express our hearts and minds in productive actions, feelings, and communications. All in all, though things seem fairly chaotic and many are under pressure, it's helping us all bring forth new strengths, new personality traits, and new ways of seeing the future. This is a very good thing, since our futures are more uncertain now than at any point in our lives due to the Grand Irrationality and the fact that we're living in the "winter" of the 21st century.
..... There is much that is extreme and melting down in our world at present, reflective of the Grand Fixed Cross and the effects of the recent eclipses. We've just had nationwide protests against the illegal and immoral war crimes of the present administration. Much of France is rioting, as are the students at Howard U of all places, thanks to the racial implications of Bush's insensitivity.
The Senate was just temporarily shut down to force the Repubs to investigate the felonious activity, perhaps treason, originating in the White House. The Vice Presidency has been implicated, as has Karl Rove, Bush's brain. The House Republican leadership is under indictment, the money laundering web of felons assisting the Republican party is under indictment, and the Senate leader, Bill Frist, is being investigated for insider trading by the SEC, and appears to have committed several crimes. Even Senate Republicans are at war with each other over the illegal and immoral White House torture policy being challenged by men and women of conscience. Couple that with global mass disasters in North America, Central America, and Asia, the on-going self-destructive radicalism of many religious extremists, and of course it seems overwhelming.
I'm sure that if you do an honest self-examiniation that you'll see that you're actually more competent than you may be feeling, and that you may be mostly having a hard time because you're having a hard time. We must chalk this up to the fourth affliction of the mind, that being its tendency to suffer over its own suffering. And long time readers of this column will also hopefully remember that the antidote to this is the generation of goodwill.
So in this time of irrationality and uncertainty, take a moment to count your blessings, reach out to your friends and allies, take a deep breath, and remember that this too will pass, leaving you stronger and more loving to the degree you practice your ability to generate goodwill, a.k.a. "bodhichitta" in the moment. And for those of you who need a little reminder on how to overcome fear, click the link. Namaste, and take it easy this weekend.
