Will I get a positive diagnosis?

I recently began the formal process to discover if I have some form of HFA or AS. (Note:I think it will take a month from now, I still have to schedule more sessions & take exams)

Question:

Will I get a positive diagnosis?

Significators:
Querent: Jupiter in the first house. - Jupiter in his own sign -Saggitarius

Not sure which house to use for the diagnosis. I think its the 10th H.

Quesited: Mercury Rx in the 4rth House.

Mercury squares Jupiter= possibly no

I am really nervous about that and I think it was a bad idea to ask this so early.

Thank you.

so we have an early asc...l1 a strong dignified Jupiter but yet mercury as the brain retrograde in his detriment and fall in Pisces,in L4 in Jupiter's domicile and venus exaltation combust by sun seen as the controlling principle of the brain (L9 also.. higher knowledge,, higher intellectual abilities?) peregrine in Pisces...mercury will square jupiter...apparently as we speak...However seeing L7/mercury as the doctor, i don't think that he is indeed a good one...also mars (head ), located in radix 6th...in his joy(Hot and dry; nocturnal; masculine) in venus domicile (Cold and moist; nocturnal; feminine) and moon's exaltation and in his detriment also afflicting you.. this mars by antiscion opposes Venus in Aquarius from radix 9th./sun, though peregrine in Pisces, and venus will square mars...(this aspect has taken place already )...and mercury in mars triplicity also...regarding the pof next to venus perhaps this is an indication that though there is indeed autism..or actually is lucky enough to have High functioning Autism...i don't know how to explain that...Moreover..though i don't usually use outer planets..i could not overlook the influence of Uranus in the 6th...and finally, co-ruler moon in mercury's domicile opposing asc and applying to the 6th lord venus

All in all it seems to me that most probably the querent has HFA

***According to what I've read already the exact cause of Asperger's is unknown, while it is probably partly inherited, the underlying genetics have not been determined conclusively. Environmental factors are also believed to play a role and Brain imaging has not identified a common underlying problem.I am saying that cause when i read querent's question I tried to identify the culprit as the brain..or even head ..Anyway...what struck me in querent's chart was apparently this highly debilitated L7/doctor combust by the exams(considering them as L9...perhaps)...so my first thought was that maybe the doctor is not in a position to judge. Yet when someone asks such a question is more like he is asking if he has indeed this disorder...so something like: "do i really have Asperger syndrome? will i be diagnosed with Asperger syndrome?"..etc....so as you may see I focused on mercury, sun and mars trying to identify how is Jupiter and L6/venus perhaps afflicted. If i also take L10 as the results of the exams then we have mercury again..combust...while for l4 as the outcome we have Jupiter with mercury and sun located there.

Re: Will I get a positive diagnosis?

Let's take apart the question and make allowances for linguistic nuances:

1.) Will I?

Early Asc 2d
Sag - L1 is Jupiter strong in Sag so, a strong constitution in general

2.) Moon Co-rules - in 7th looking to the physician in Gemini, about as mental a sign as one can get and in Air. This is interesting because my next door neighbor is a very HFA with Aspergers and the only emotion I've seen him express is anger. They generally are non-emotional. They also have no boundaries and will say whatever comes into their heads. I have learned to bite my tongue around him if I don't want information in the general public domain.

Does your friend lack social filters? Does she say bluntly whatever comes into her head at that moment?

3.) Moon ruled by Mercury - the head - in Fall in Pisces - and worse, retrograde - thoughts not coming out in an expected way

4.) Mercury the head going to square Jupiter, L1, that's the first yes

5.) Moon's first aspect is a trine to L6, Venus, which is in Aquarius. Interesting aspect. Aquarius is ruled by Uranus which rules amongst other things - electricity. Uranus is in Taurus and we don't know where Uranus falls or is in detriment although I suspect it is either in detriment or in fall in Cancer. Electricity doesn't like to be wet and that generation - the youngest of which is now about 64 - have a devil of a time with the computer.

So, my studies as an undergrad were in neurochemistry. The brain's memories and thoughts happen by the electrical firing across the dendrites' synapses probably it's thought through acetylcholine.

So, Uranus is an important indicator here. Uranus in the past has not been so great in Taurus for people in general but I'm not sure we can use it in diagnosis.

Be Diagnosed?

6.) Isn't the 3rd of the 7th the diagnosis? The communique of the physician? So, the Sun, in Pisces, peregrine, squares Jupiter. That doesn't look good.

With HFA?

How are this girl's emotions? The chart is giving us a mixed bag of answers. In general, I would think the answer is yes or she wouldn't be asking the question but the Moon trine Aquarius leaves doubt.

And, we have two yeses and one no (I'm taking the Moon-Venus trine as a no). But maybe it's a yes.

First of all thank you AlixandraSun for your interpretation! I definitely believe I have it (otherwise I wouldn't start the formal diagnosis process). The problem with this issue is that it's very hard to get a diagnosis (its a very mild and hidden disorder. ). Therefore the chart shows my conflict and mixed emotions. Yes, I do lack social filters and I misinterpret people.

So its 2 yeses. I think that he will probably diagnose me or send me to another specialist that will eventually diagnose me. I am in uncharted territory here. What if the doctor/therapist is signified by house 10? I 've been told before in this forum (by dear member Cap) that therapy is represented by the 10th house (treatment in medical horary)

yes L10 is a significator for treatment in medical and Decumbiture

In this chart, though the question was not about the treatment...but if these medical exams will prove that you indeed have this syndrome..in other words...if you really have Asperger's syndrome

Also usually the doctor is regarded as L9(learned people)...but if is your doctor then we have to take him as L7

Yes we will wait for an update from you.I just hope the best for you

Re: Will I get a positive diagnosis?

I have an update: I did recently the MMPI test which is used to diagnose personality disorders and not directly Asperger syndrome but I am not formally diagnosed with HFA or Aspergers (at least yet). As of today, I don't have a diagnosis. I still believe I have it thought & will continue my search, and hopefully find an Asperger specialist.

Re: Will I get a positive diagnosis?

Recent Update: The answer by Aria Venue & AlixandraSun proved to be correct because the specific doctor I initially went (and this horary is about) officially said last week that he doesn't think I have HFA. However, he gave me a referral to another doctor specializing in ADD/ADHD and High Functioning Autism in order to get another opinion. So I am still searching...

Re: Will I get a positive diagnosis?x

A "consultant" ... The doctor. .. goes in 7th. Your lawyer, psychotherapist, engineer, astrologer or any other person giving advice and counsel goes in 7th.

Instead of getting mired in all these details, why not just ask "Am I sick with X?" or something like that. Cut to the quick.

Does the natal chart call for some sort of infirmity to cast a shadow on the life?

Hello, greybeard thank you for commenting here. Yes, I think I have some weaknesses - issues shown in my chart. I 've been suspecting this for quite a while but it was the right phase to check for a formal doctor diagnosis. My persistent difficulties in forming relationships/friendships led me to the doctor's office. Externally I appear super functional. I think you have seen my chart before in a different thread and you commented on my natal Pluto's position and that he holds a powerful position.

This is the older thread (& natal chart):
https://www.astrologyweekly.com/foru...ad.php?t=73196

HFA (Asperger’s syndrome) is mostly considered a hidden disability in the sense that most people cannot tell that someone has the condition from his or her outward appearance. The truth is that it resonates with my life and has a profound impact on my relationships.

I did a new chart asking:
Do I have condition X?

This is the new chart but its confusing as it has 0 degrees ASC. Maybe its not a question for horary. This is the chart:

Re: Will I get a positive diagnosis?

Hello Tamara,

I am looking at your natal chart and there are a lot of planets on the western side, it seems you are actually very relationally oriented. In addition to what's stated on that thread, you have Mercury in Aquarius in the 8th and Virgo on the cusp of the third house. I suppose that could manifest in speech that is potentially incisive to the point of being cutting, or hard to deal with even if frequently not wrong ;-)
Your Cancer ascendant is also noted, and Moon in Sag with Jupiter square the node and its own dispositor, exalted Venus in Pisces in 8th, you actually seem very sweet to me.

All of which is to say, I think what is very important is that you find a very good therapist - someone you would like to work with to address the condition you suspect you have.

If you focus on just getting a diagnosis to match your own suspicions, you may end up with people who are dedicated to administering psychological tests which is extremely lucrative, but not with a great psychotherapist. Unfortunately it's often hard to find a practitioner period, let alone someone who has a reputation for both psychometric testing and great psychotherapy....

All of which is to say: Do you need the diagnosis for insurance purposes? If not, I would actually be asking a different question, namely, Will the practitioner I've identified help me improve my condition?

Hello passiflora,

Thank you for your comment!I think I am very relationally oriented too and that also Mercury in Aquarius is one the hardest planets to deal with (in my entire chart). I tried to have relationships but its not easy to conserve & maintain these relationships. That's I suspected HFA. I am supposed to change /meet a new doctor in a month from now and he has a good reputation. He specializes in ADD/ADHD which shares a lot of similar symptoms with HFA.

Lastly, I am not doing this for insurance/money purposes ...I really don't care. This is my personal life mystery & I am trying to solve it.

Re: Will I get a positive diagnosis?

I hope this appointment and relationship go very well for you!

In my opinion in many cases diagnosis can be actually more relevant to the doctor's ability to work with all shades of such an issue, than to the person who has the diagnosis

You mention your Mercury in Aquarius being a big part of the problem, I am curious as to how that manifests for you. It does rule your SN close to the 3rd house cusp. Feel free to point me to another thread if you've discussed it elsewhere instead of me cluttering your horary thread

Thank you, I hope it will. Yes, I totally agree with you. People are dismissive when you say you have high functioning autism at 30. I made a thread 5 years ago, (!) on my difficulty to relate to humans (called "Intellect & Sexual Attraction" ) using some examples from my Mercury & Venus placements here:

I have no idea if you do or do not have HFA.

But I do agree with you that your 8th house Mercury in Aquarius is a difficult placement for you when pursuing close relationships.

At first glance, that T-square involving your Mercury is a wide one by orb, and separating, so one would think it is not too powerful.

But a closer look reveals the opposite conclusion.

Your Mercury/ Venus midpoint is @ 22Aquarius. So that midpoint is exactly squaring the Mars.

Mercury/Venus= Mars

That ^^ means that this T-square is very exact and very powerful, as it tightly incorporates Mercury and Venus in the 8th, and makes the wide opposition in the 5th and 11th, more focused and operative.

The Mercury/Venus midpoint represents ‘thoughts of love’ and how one communicates with potential partners.

Mercury/Venus being in the 8th is a nice placement and it would show that you do have desire and cravings for close, intimate associations. And the North Node nearby says that it is important to learn to develop these associations.

However, Aquarius on the cusp of the 8th and housing Mercury and Venus can make it difficult emotionally for you to allow others to come close and be intimate with you.

Mercury/Venus in Aquarius feels the need for independence, and personal space, and that need may be triggered by anyone who appears to threaten that independence.

People are probably attracted to your spirit, and your uniqueness and intelligence. However they may not feel ‘welcomed’ emotionally and may feel that you are unavailable to them, because of the way you respond to any subtle advances they may make.

You may judge them prematurely and make quick decisions about any potential relationship, before you have really explored the possibility.

This T-square from Mars/Jupiter and Pluto may indicate a hypersensitivity on your part? You might get rubbed the wrong way and take offence, or perhaps lash out at others, prematurely at times, if you feel slighted/misunderstood?

Sometimes this Fixed opposition from Mars/Jupiter to Pluto in the 5/11th axis can indicate ego problems. You may see yourself as superior to others intellectually, or spiritually, at times, when it is not totally warranted.

Mars/Pluto to Mercury =. ‘EXCESSIVE NERVOUS IRRITATION

Thus your natal T-square can make you feel excessively irritated by others and it might just get in your way at times, when you dismiss people that could be positive influences for you.

Hello katydid,
I agree 100% with everything that you said. Thank you for this analysis. I have no idea whether I have it or not. The only reason I am doing this diagnosis-process is that I want to understand & come closer to other humans. I need to understand how my brain works in order to do that. My family & few friends support this effort too.

Astrology was another tool to help me 'locate' these issues & I am grateful to people in this forum. The truth is I dismiss the 99% of people I meet & I have a very quirky type of brain. It's not really an ego thing. I judge people fast because my brain works that way. I want the result & not the process. Failure has helped me to stay humble & try again. (Failure has crushed my ego) I don't know whether getting a diagnosis will help me. People evolve by being around other people.

However, I have no idea how to fall in love & connect & how to be a real human.

This^^^ is such a Mercury in Aquarius thing to say. lol

You are a real human, although you may not feel that way sometimes. And that is the problem. <<<That 'separation' of self vs others= Aquarius energy.
