Please do not ask the same question repeatedly, hoping for a different result: horary works best when you ask the question ONCE and then interpret the chart that results from when the question FIRST came into your mind. how can i ask one out of two options?

hi there.

i am just wondering something. its regarding a method of reading horary but if i want to ask which one of A or B i should pursue, i should use turned houses?

in that case, should i decide which one goes for the real house and the the other goes for the turned house before casting a chart? or is it better to use different houses according to the characteristics of the choices?

so lets say i have an option of two jobs that i can pursue and one is home and other is abroad, can i use 10th house and 9th house respectively? or 10th house for one work and 7th house (turned 10th house ) for the other?

thank you!

whitey

hi whitey
i think you decide from one horoscope only.
the job becomes the ascendant and not the 10th house. You want to chose between job A or job B. both of them become entities and hence A is the ascendant and 7th house is job B. That's how i do it .

sandeep,

so this is how western horary does it? or in vedic way?

in that case, how do you decide which one of ascendant and 7th house ruler represents A and B?

thank you!

Re: how can i ask one out of two options?

Hi whitey,
I think the rules of horary are same for Vedic and Western.
Only how to cast the chart differs in Nadi, we take a number from the querent and cast the ascendant related to the number, whereas in western you cast the chart according to the details and time of the place where the question was asked.
Apart from that the rules are same.
Umm how do you decide which one is ascendant. I generally take the first one as Asc and the other as 7th house.
But sure we can use some insight from other Pros out there.
AG, Starlink.. neone listening

Re: how can i ask one out of two options?

Hello you two, just happened to see this before jumping in bed. It is late here. If the question is between working at home or working for a company, I would just look at the rulers of 4th and 10th and see how they aspect the ruler of the Ascendant. In Whitheys case I would do the following and this is really just my feeling. I never read anything like this before so technically I have no idea (maybe AG does, she is doing this way longer than I do). So, for the job in your home country I would take the ruler of the 10th, and for the job in the foreign country I would go to the 10th(job) of the 9th.(abroad). It is the most logical thing for me anyways. When in doubt PM Radu, he usually gives an answer to your question (or Draco as he is the one "ruling" the horary section of the Forum. Sleep well you two! Star.

Re: how can i ask one out of two options?

Hi Star,
I have faced this recently and I studied that both the jobs are to be looked from the ascendant/7th house.
4th and 10th house thingies are for natal, not horary. But then i am not sure either .
Yeah sure hope AG or Draco can intervene.

Re: how can i ask one out of two options?

Besides the solution suggested in the pm, I'd might check the nature and aspects of the 10th house ruler and the turned 10th house ruler from the 10th house [as teached by Anthony Louis in his book, and as mentioned in your email]. The details you already know about the two jobs should help you match the significating planets with the jobs.

Re: how can i ask one out of two options?

with permission from radu, i am citing what he said in the pm addressed to me:

Tough question, as described, but easy if viewed differently. How about rephrasing the question "Should I go abroad or should I stay in my country (from a career point of view) ?" which simplifies even further to "Should I go abroad?"
So, check the 9th house, the cusp, the planets therein, the ruler and their relations with the 1st house elements.
It's a solution I propose, not necessarily the only one. If I understood the situation correctly this approach should work. You may get similar results by following different paths in the same horary chart.

i will be posting the chart to this thread a bit later. its a bit complicated one.

thanks,

whitey
