I have met men in my life who clearly hate women. It is the usual evidence. They parade a litany of disgraces that women they know have produced. They generalize about women and wallow in their favorite stereotypes about women. They embroider with half-truths. They hate women for illogical or unreasonable reasons. They push anecdotal encounters they "heard about". Based on that experience, I must emphasize that such evidence also suggests that not all men hate women. What percentage of men hate women I can't say, but misogyny does exist, and it is unnerving when one encounters it in one's travels. And I am not referring to hating an evil woman who has harmed you or your loved ones. That would not represent bigotry but a reasonable reaction to an individual human being. Hating A woman is not bigotry, but hating women generally is bigotry.
Hating men is proliferating today because those who do it receive very little push-back. It is fashionable to hate men, especially white men. The women hating men generally follow exactly the pattern of men I just described in the previous paragraph; bigotry is bigotry.
I recently heard a woman accuse men of oppressing women based on the popular Barbie doll, a toy that enjoys a long history of popularity and plentiful sales. I think the claim of a Male Patriarchy and Gender Wage Gap is based on similar paltry concoctions. The nature of the alleged Male Patriarchy hypothesis and the Gender Wage Gap hypothesis is a smear, and habitual smear is a sign of hatred and bigotry.
The Barbie Doll is alleged to be the cause of women allegedly being objectified by men, but men didn't design Barbie, and men are ill prepared to design dolls that appeal to young girls. The girls who coveted a Barbie doll did so because they liked Barbie's appearance and her accessories. The doll's popularity with men is utterly moot. Men don't buy Barbie unless their daughters demand it. Two generations of women suggest that proliferation of eating disorders, which are much more widespread among women, is the fault of men, all men, in fact the Male Patriarchy. That is false and it is more evidence of hatred of men.
Many men objectify women as sex objects, but many women objectify men as success objects. Men are the suppliers of money and goods; that's their function in the eyes of many women. Men must have a good job and a nice car. That's their function to women who objectify men.
Women are very competitive amongst themselves, and the great anxiety of women that causes them to succumb to eating disorders is caused by their own gender. It is fear of what their competitors will say that causes sensitive women to succumb to eating disorders. Blaming it on men is just the lazy path of the bigot who prefers simple, little answers to life's quandaries.
Barbie is somebody's idea of an ideal woman, but the ideal belongs to women and girls. It is not a male conspiracy against the female gender. Man haters follow the pattern of bigotry. Blame men for everything. It is all their fault. And thus is the hatred of men. It is common and popular to promote the condemnation of alleged Male Patriarchy and the condemnation of alleged Gender Wage Gap because hatred of men is popular. In other words, there is a huge class of bigots that are cruising with impunity on the injustice of hating men generally.
