What aspects/placements makes a person extremely deceitful?

What aspects/placements makes a person extremely deceitful? Is it Mercury square Neptune? Or having Moon in Gemini? Or other things?

What makes a person deceitful is the belief that there is something to be gained by not being entirely truthful. That could be associated with any significator in one way or another, and is something we all carry to some extent.

Yes, I'm referring to myself. Because I wanted to know if having Mercury square Neptune makes someone extremely deceitful.

Mercury-Neptune isn't inherently deceitful. Neptune is always looking for some redeeming experience of unity and where Neptune is active in the chart shows where we can achieve this most naturally, but also where we are prone to see the opportunity for such an experience where it doesn't really exist. Mercury rationalises, problem-solves and communicates, and so a strong Mercury Neptune aspect - especially a 'hard' aspect such as a square - can reflect a tendency for these Mercurial functions to be affected by the Neptunian susceptibility to delusion. So we might be trying to be rational, to find sound solutions to problems, to communicate honestly and clearly, but the mind is clouded by the yearning for the sense of unity. In the case of communication, we might say what we think the other person needs to hear, or what we need them to hear so that they see us in a certain way - either way we are trying to move towards greater unity rather than greater separateness.

If you find that you have a tendency to be deceitful - or to be tempted to be deceitful - the close Mercury Neptune square is probably relevant, especially if you are able to take people in with a seductive style of communication. But the Scorpio emphasis could also be relevant for obvious reasons, and the Sagittarius emphasis could be relevant because this sign is very enthusiastic about sharing understanding - perhaps to the extent of feigning understanding so that it has something important to say. Note that Saturn squares the Sagittarius Jupiter from the 3rd house of communication, and that Saturn can bring an urge to overcompensate for a sense of inadequacy. Note also Chiron in the 9th.

There's nothing in the chart that says you are deceitful. But you might want to keep an eye on any urge to influence others with half truths or false statements, or to impress them using exaggerated or made-up stories. You would probably make a really good story teller, but its obviously best to be clear with yourself and others about which stories are true and which are fiction.

I concur with Samantha. However there are placements like Mars in Capricorn and Pluto aspecting personal planets, that want to have a level of privacy and sometimes will go to the extent of deceit to protect this privacy. I have Pluto Moon and Mars in Capricorn myself. The Moon is the adaptive mask and the Sun is a persons Ego so Pluto aspecting these can hint at an appreciation for secrecy or privacy. I also have a Mercury in Scorpio aspecting my Capricorn Mars (I can say I talk a lot to probe others and I retain personal information better than one may realise).

With Neptune in the 1st, you may have a tendency to be an escapist. And, that Neptune-Mercury can make you hide the truth. Perhaps it plays out at your work place. If Nep is touching a personal planet, look at where that planet is placed house wise and there is a tendency for deception there (both thru the native and the native might also face it).

Lilith has too many versions and options so it looses validity from that. I can say that the most deceitful people know what they are doing, the don't lie, but they don't tell you the full story, very none disclosing. We have to look to mercury because this is communication (in signs like Capricorn or Scorpio where they don't disclose too much you will find this more likely to be deceitful). Air signs aren't deceitful as much as they are indecisive and changing, at the time they may tell you a truth, 10 seconds later that same truth could be a lie. This is why they cheat, because they can't choose.

Phooy, Pluto is a switch it turns things on or turns them off.

Your Venus is either over functioning or not functioning at all bc of Pluto.

Venus isn't just love and the gender of a person doesn't matter (how would one do astrology for same sex or bisexual couples and homosexual people of it did?), Venus is receptivity, whilst the Moon is actually how we manifest our conscious, Venus is purely taking it all in (think the Moon emits light just like the sun). Venus aspct.

The native would then be over stimulated or understimulated by there surroundings.

The understimulated people will act like they don't have the ablity to feel outsode things until one slips through and the native will have a mental break.

The over stimulated one will feel everything from the environment until one thing they can't feel comes along and them they will get attached to it because there not used to not getting feelings back from things and they want to feel from that thing.

(My moon asoects Pluto it's very similar mine is overactive and it's the only hard aspect to any luminary, the sign Pluto is in because of it too is probably the most descriptive of my personality (that sign however is elevated anyways)).

I get confused with the different types, didn't even know there were FOUR. But I mean the black moon Lilith, I think.

You have Sun in Scorpio, and in the tenth house, of course you're capable of deceit. Scorpio has to learn how to utilize power for growth and not destruction. You have an aquarius moon though, so you're a bit of a more tame Scorpio, you should be able to learn this lesson.

Also, you have Venus in Scorp as well; let go of your thoughts regarding potential deceit and just be glad that you're so kinky. lol

I have Mercury in Capricorn in 8th house and I can assure u I do not lie!!
i get in more problems being brutally honest.
Seem like when Mercury in cap speaks no matter how calmly, people view us like A drill sergeant and get scared. Especially when we can see through others secret lies.
I see way more Air signs lie. But charts are complex things

Liing is telling a false truth, none disclosing is when you choose to say nothing, I have a mercury in Scorpio in the tightest aspect in my chart with my Capricorn Mars. I am very blunt too. Look up lieing and then look up no disclosing. Did you even read what I said in my text? I said
"they do not lie".

Mercury in Capricorn:
quiet (playfully perverse) pride in their disagreeable opinions & autonomous thinking. Enjoys shock value of spouting unusual ideas. Mind inquisitive, enthusiastic, with a sense of the macabre. Resists being convinced. Careful, methodical, orders information effectively.

I don't think the houses are valid there are to many systems that I don't trust. I have an 8th house moon and some Scorpio energy (Venus/Scorpio/Pluto/Chiron). If say my exalted capy Mars is less specialised and more personal (I think the Scorpio planets are under the influence of my Mars and Capricorn).
