I was really surprised that no one had started a thread to inquire about whether the miners trapped in the mine and unaccounted for would be found alive. It is the worst mining disaster in the US in 25 years.
A little bit ago, I read this article:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/36183425/ns/us_news-life/
It said that they were nearing the target area - a locked area stocked with food, water, and oxygen - that could have kept the miners alive for several days, if they were able to reach it. So I asked the horary question:
"Will they find any of the miners alive?"
I'm not sure where to go with this, as far as interpretation.. besides I'm very tired.. I'm mainly throwing this out for the rest of you to tackle, as I think it would be a very interesting subject for a horary.
All I can see is that the mine is 4th house, and also the end of the matter. It is Mars at 5' Leo in the 8th house of death. It is exactly inconjunct Pluto, co-ruler of the 12th house. Moon is 1' Pisces in the 3rd, ruling the 8th.
I'm not sure if the miners would be 6th house or 4th house, too. If 6th house, then they are Venus 11' Taurus in the 5th. It is in an exact square - applying within 2 arc minutes- to Hygeia ( I know, not horary, but I happened to have it in my astro.com charts at the time I asked this question, and found it a very interesting detail.) Hygeia is also in the 8th house of death. Venus is separating from a square to Mars by 6 somethings. The accident happened on April 5th, so that timing doesn't fit. Venus is applying sextile to Jupiter at 19' Pisces in the 3rd, with no interference.
If the miners are Mars, it doesn't look so good. That would seem to say that the miners ( Mars) and the supply in the place of refuge (Pluto-coruler of the 12th) do not connect.
Part of Fortune is at 2' Aquarius in the 2nd.
Moon rules the 8th, and is at 1' Pisces in the 3rd. It will sextile Pluto, Mercury, and Venus before it conjuncts Jupiter. I don't know though.. 3rd house is breathing - the main problem has been toxic fumes.. Moon connects with all the supply planets in Earth signs. I'm wondering if that is a good sign....
That's about all I can milk out of it with my feeble mundane horary experience and tired body and mind... I'm very eager to read what others have to say about it though.
