Yes.

Just realized how little laziness has to do with my lack of musical exploration.... tense tense tense shell.

One thing I know is that the most simple beautiful truths always slip ones mind minutes after having discovered them.... They seem to like to live in the moment, haha.

I love that you said this so much. I could not agree more, I have always subconsciously thought this but never articulated it, and never could have as well as you put it here!!

Anyway, my playlist of not this week but all last year is as follows:
The Mamas and the Papas -- California Dreamin'
Scott McKenzie -- If You're Going to San Francisco
Counting Crows -- Mr. Jones
Enya -- Only Time
Fleetwood Mac -- Landslide
The Rolling Stones -- Paint it Black
Barenaked Ladies -- Brian Wilson
America -- Horse with No Name
R.E.M. -- Losing My Religion
The Beatles -- Let It Be
Simon & Garfunkel -- The Sound of Silence
Procol Harnum -- A Whiter Shade of Pale
Kenny Rogers -- The Gambler
Coldplay -- Violet Hill
America -- Sister Golden Hair

This year's mix is I don't know what yet, but I'm sure it'll have Cat Stevens' "The Wind" and Fleetwood Mac's "Never Going Back Again". :)

nice song :) and I like the visuals. that part at the end was pretty cool.

been listening to some bjork recently, a great take on relationships and how they compare to the push and pull of tectonic plates ,trying to find the perfect fit.

also this absolutely brilliant piece of lyrical writing by mike patton, starts off serene then its loud and heavy. poetic dependency and mother-son themes.
zombie eaters;

a newish track by french electronic producer kavinsky (think justice/daft punk) with a visual style that is very 80's. no lyrics, just retro ear and eye candy.

Some 'Train' music.

"Night Train" James Brown [my dad used to wail this tune out on his chromatic harmonica...he was about as good on a chromatic as one could ever hope to hear one.]

"Night Train" Steve Winwood
[not the same tune]

John Mayer - "Stop This Train"(Live in LA)

...I was in jail the night James Brown died [now, there's a title for a song waiting to be written] but I will always be diggin' on James Brown till the day I die.

Beneath your Beautiful

You tell all the boys no
Makes you feel good yeah
I know you're out of my league
But that won't scare me way out no
You've carried on so long
You couldn't stop if you tried it
You've built your wall so high
That no one could climb it
But I'm gonna try

Would you let me see beneath your beautiful
Would you let me see beneath your perfect
Take it off now girl, take it off now girl
I wanna see inside
Would you let me see beneath your beautiful tonight

You let all the girls go
Makes you feel good, don't it?
Behind your Broadway show
I heard a voice say please don't hurt me
You've carried on so long
You couldn't stop if you tried it
You've built your wall so high
That no one could climb it
But I'm gonna try

Would you let me see beneath your beautiful
Would you let me see beneath your perfect
Take it off now boy, take it off now boy
I wanna see inside
Would you let me see beneath your beautiful tonight
Ohhh, Tonight

See beneath, See beneath,
I...Tonight
I...

I'm gonna climb on top your every top
I'll hold your hand and you'll, you'll jump right out
We'll be falling, falling
But that's okay
Cause I'll be right here
I just wanna love

Would you let me see beneath your beautiful
Would you let me see beneath your perfect
Take it off now girl, take it off now girl
Cause I wanna see you say
Would you let me see beneath your beautiful tonight
Tonight, see beneath your beautiful
Oh tonight, we ain't perfect, we ain't perfect
Would you let me see beneath your beautiful tonight
