Jupiter opposite SUN/MOON Midpoint

View attachment 20219I've read sun/moon midpoint is a huge factor when reading someone's chart, about as important as the chart ruler..

Say someone's SU/MO=Saturn conjunct Neptune. This would mean their personality is heavily influence by Saturn/Neptune qualities, maybe the person holds back out of delusional fears of the unknown?..

Now if Jupiter were opposite Saturn exactly, what effect would this have? I've attached visuals.

I was thinking maybe it means the person must learn to broaden their horizons, expand their limits even if their hope/freedom has been thoroughly crushed in the past by others?

What do you think?

If you think about it, each planetary pair has two midpoints. The near one is usually used. But if you go the back way around the chart, you have a second midpoint. These two midpoints will oppose one another. So I am not sure that the concept of a planet opposing one's midpoint makes all that much sense, because it will conjunct the second one.

Also, for midpoints, you need to use a really narrow orb. A midpoint itself casts no light, so it doesn't make much sense to think of conjunctions as more than a degree or so from the midpoint.

It would seem that your 8th house Saturn/Neptune conjunction is an important focus in your life: not only for midpoint reasons, but because it is the tip of a "kite" formation.

Neptune lives in the realm of fantasy, illusion, and disillusionment. A strong Neptune is wonderful for creative people, such as fiction writers and film makers. Neptune also deals with mystical spiritual experiences. But it can show where we need to have a more realistic view of life, to avoid being deceived. Here is where Saturn comes in. Saturn deals with the material world as-it-is. It can also show us where and how we feel inadequate and not-good-enough. With a positive view of Saturn we learn self-discipline and resourcefulness.

You have a really interesting chart, with that spot-on sun-Pluto conjunction in Scorpio, and Mercury in the mix. I don't know what you do for a living, but you would be good at something like military service, health care (being a paramedic or working in an ER) or psychological counseling. You need to live life with a lot of intensity.

Sun-Pluto contacts often have a "dominate or be dominated" outlook on life, which can play havoc with relationships. So it is very important to see Pluto's mission as one of profound ongoing personal transformation of your identity.

Jupiter on a personal level is about developing a sense of faith in the universe to support you. Trust that the universe will meet your needs. [This doesn't mean overspend the credit card, in the unrealistic hope that "something will turn up," we each are responsible for meeting our material needs.] With that Jupiter-Chiron conjunction, you may gain the wisdom that comes from learning about life "the hard way."

Jupiter opp sun/moon midpoint would be the same as conj sun/moon, so it's like having jupiter conj sun and moon, making someone rather jovial, expansive....

midpoints
I have my chart ruler Uranus conj Sun/moon midpoint and mercury conj Asc/MC midpoint. These two are the most important as far as midpoints go. They can be very sensitive points, espec to progressions, transits and solar arcs. To watch/research how these points play out make a note of the degree for example my sun/moon = 3' 05" taururs, but any at that degree in 'fixed' will be considered same as conj, square or opposition. Same with Asc/MC being 'outlet or exit points' for planets energies. So although I have mercury retrograde natally, having this conj Asc/MC I've always known that communications, written, verbal, relating, analysing are important to me but in practical way (taurus merc)

The orb has to be very tight 1’ or max 1’30” to be effective though
