new to progressions

Hi all - I've attached my Astrodienst chart here that has my natal, transits and progressions in one shot. I've been studying on a informal basis stuff about the natal and transits in my chart, correlating them to what events have been set in motion during my life. From other threads, some of you know what my general life is like, being older, an artist, and keeping a very private simple lifestyle. Anyhow, one thing that did attract my attention in the progressions was that my progressed Ascendant is in my 3rd house, conjuncting my natal Venus, which in turn trines my natal Neptune. How is it interpreted when the progressed Ascendant is conjunct a planet, especially one that is fairly close to an angle, as in my attached chart. What planets are the most important to look at in progressions anyway, and does the house position matter? Just curious here.
