That saying of being tall is just a generalization, but sag rising tend to have slender legs, arms and face, which make you seen taller that you really are. Also we tend to have nice hair, with light color. and a big smile.

Other thing is that we are naturally slender but we tend to fall in excess (food-drinking-over resting)... so when we are older we tend to get fatty.. and more if the moon is involved.
The ruler of my ascendant is in Cancer. Now I can eat whatever i want without getting fat, also because I do lot of exercise. But I know that when I get older I will need to change my diet.

I think its about proportions. But even our face is just an expression of our thoughts. So I'm nervous of assigning big ears to Sagittarians or puffy cheeks to a Cancer. Its more subtle than that.
Sagittarians look bold to me. Very direct, honest. Also, as Caro said, easy going - even when they're on a crusade.
Librans I've met are less intense personally and have a very soft smile.

I have heard that these combinations can work in synastry so why not in a natal. I would have thought that was pretty ideal. (sagi rising and Taurus sun – actually this sounds like the perfect partner)
I think a sagi rising virgo sun etc is difficult. So the square is difficult. However I would think a sagi rising with a pisces sun would be ok. There are some similarities with these two signs.
Its nice to hear people’s personal experiences it adds ‘colour’ to the websites/books etc.

quincunx signs in synastry is *just as bad* as in natal
they are 150' away by sign, it's bit like an itch you cannot scratch, chalk and cheese, oil and water.

I'm sag rising 17 degrees and taurus moon 21 degrees. I'm very short, 5'1". In the summer i usually slim down and you can see nice definition in my physical appearance. My face becomes slimmer highlighting my contoured check bones (more on the longer side) and those amazing sag legs are more toned (check out sag sun Taylor swifts legs).. but in cold weather I tend to put on extra weight which looks terrible on my short frame (there's that taurus moon kicking in). The ascendant is said to influence wardrobe and my go to tends to be combat boots and leather jackets as sag needs to feel comfortable enough to explore the world around them. However, these boots and jacket have been hanging on for ten years now as taurus enjoys the familiar tried and true. This is just my interpretation of sag/taurus elements in the natal chart based on my personal history. Hope it helps

My nephew is a sag rising with venus 1st. He has Black eyes with dirty blond hair. He was born huge and is thinning out. He is more beautiful than most girls.
I do not think, this ascendant give a long face, and a long face reminds me a horse, oh wait ...ok, michaell fassbender is beautifull.
all fire signs can give good muscle constitution, it contributes to good appearance,

I am not a Sagittarius rising, but I am a Cancer rising therefore ruled by the Moon and Jupiter.
