Mars in the 12 House

Hi all 👋🏽 I'm new to AW. I have been reading a lot for many years but lack the practice and application of the theories.

I've fortunately have managed to get the charts of a few people I work with and I've realized that most of them have mars in the 12 house. The only obvious connection I can make is that we all work in a hospital.

I guess my question is what can be said in general for a 12H mars?

Mars is our anger and aggression and passion principle. Twelfth house is the deeply unconscious place. Twelfth house Mars is associated with reacting to triggers you weren't aware of, strongly, anger or aggression coming out of the blue, things like that. It can also be a deeply creative placement, with the linking of passion and unconscious.

If all of these hospital workers with twelfth house Mars have Mars involved in their job picture--ruler of the tenth or sixth house, perhaps, or conjunct the ruler--then we've got a stronger link to a twelfth house sort of workplace.

But it might also be just a group signature. Take any group of people who come together for something, and it's pretty common to have some repeating theme among their charts. I was once in an astrology class where all of us had twelfth house Moons.

keep in mind that

not all those with MARS 12th House necessarily work in hospitals
and also
not all those who work in hospitals have MARS 12th house

Main Rulerships of 12th house

- represents matters that are hidden, restrained, secret,

incapable of action or of being fully understood

Traditionally, 12th house is a wholly unfortunate house

associated with sad events, sorrow, anguish of mind, tribulation
captivity, imprisonment, persecution, hard labour
all manner of affliction and self-undoing.

12th house represents places that are denied access to public view
particularly those concerned with seclusion or isolation
or where one is restricted from living a carefree life-style
such as institutions or prisons.

Many sources attribute monasteries to the 12th house
as places of isolation
but otherwise monks and nuns belong to the 9th house
which represents religious concerns.

12th house has rulership over scandals generally
personal fears and skeletons in the family closet.
Its significations include secret, unknown enemies
such men as maliciously undermine their neighbours
or inform secretly against them:
traitors, spies; witchcraft, malicious hauntings
weakness, infirmity and bondage. Deborah Houlding

Thank you for your answer. Yea i can see how it can be a group thing. It was just the first thing that popped out to me from looking at these charts. I thought more could be said for it. My best friend and 2 other people I'm close to also have 12 house mars. I wonder if i attract them.

Thank you for your response. Yes maybe i phrase my post unclearly. I don't mean to assume all people who work in hospitals have mars in 12H. I work at a hospital and I don't. I have Pluto in my 12H. I wonder if 12H mars have more of a proclivity for passive aggression. I have mars in pisces and I've heard this about this placement. That a neptnuian mars hides their anger.

In the intricate world of astrology, the placement of planets in different houses of the birth chart plays a significant role in shaping an individual's personality, experiences, and life path. Among these placements, the positioning of Mars in the 12th house holds particular importance. Mars, the planet of energy, action, and assertiveness, brings its unique influence when positioned in the 12th house, the house of spirituality, hidden enemies, and solitude.

Exploring Mars in the 12th House:
When Mars resides in the 12th house of the birth chart, it infuses the individual with a blend of intense energy and a deep connection to the subconscious realms. This placement often indicates a person who may experience inner conflicts, as Mars' assertive nature clashes with the subtle, introspective energy of the 12th house.

Introspective Power:
Mars in the 12th house urges the individual to explore their inner world with vigor and determination. They may possess a strong drive to understand their subconscious desires, fears, and motivations. This placement can lead to a profound introspective journey, where the individual seeks to uncover hidden truths about themselves and their spiritual path.

Confronting Hidden Enemies:
The 12th house is also associated with hidden enemies and self-undoing. When Mars occupies this house, it may indicate confrontations with unseen adversaries or inner battles that manifest as obstacles in the individual's life. However, Mars' courage and assertiveness empower the native to face these challenges head-on, ultimately emerging stronger and more resilient.

Spiritual Warrior:
Rather than expressing Mars' energy outwardly in aggressive or combative ways, individuals with Mars in the 12th house often channel this energy into spiritual pursuits. They may become spiritual warriors, dedicating themselves to practices such as meditation, yoga, or esoteric studies. Mars in the 12th house encourages the individual to harness their inner strength and courage in service of higher spiritual goals.

Compassion and Empathy:
Despite Mars' fiery nature, its placement in the 12th house softens its aggressiveness and fosters compassion and empathy. Individuals with this placement may feel a deep sense of empathy towards others' suffering and may be drawn to humanitarian causes or charitable work. They understand the importance of forgiveness and may actively seek to heal past wounds, both within themselves and in their relationships.

Conclusion:
Mars in the 12th house is a complex placement that intertwines the assertive energy of Mars with the introspective and spiritual qualities of the 12th house. While it may present challenges related to hidden enemies and inner conflicts, it also offers opportunities for profound spiritual growth, inner exploration, and compassion towards others. Understanding the nuances of this placement can provide valuable insights into an individual's journey towards self-discovery and spiritual fulfillment.
