I never looked at the takeoff chart until now. The first thing that struck me was the ascendant being very close to perihelion degree of comet C/2012 S1 (ISON). And here is the last official sighting chart when the flight left radar surveilence. If hijacked, this would be the moment the flight was taken over. I added the asteroid 'Hitchcock' for hijacker 'Hitch', and he is in the first house (the subject - the plane). Planets in the 1st house tell you what the subject is doing and whether they are being forced. Pluto and Venus are also in the 1st with 'Hitch'. i wouldnt trust that british newspaper because it makes no sense. if the plane had landed why is the govt of Australia claiming that they are ending their search this week.

and the rumors of Kandahar, Afghanistan landing that is such bs. Kandlahar is nonflying zone, no commercial airplanes allowed. US radar would have spotted anything flying. we have US military bases and a huge airfield (a lot of strikes are from there). US military patrols below and above radar. if someone managed to sneak Boeing plane below the radar level without nonstop patrolling US AF, then i killed JFK. if MH flew below radar, US ground force would have seen it. I am outruling pakistan cause our drones are patrolling pakistan from afganistan. So russians reporting this is like smoke up in someone's rear end. In sci fi world YEAH it can happen... in reality, yeah right. ohh Kandlahar is surrounded by mountains and right in the middle there is a huge size valley, guess who hangs there? US military. they have to patrol whole area by planes and drones because al quida uses mountains to attack the bases - you get attacks in the spring through summer and early fall - in the winter, it is very cold up there so you cannot pass through. yeah nice try, Russia ..

okay so lets approach kidnapping from another angle. we have 200+ passengers sitting somewhere in poor country like afganistan where food is scarce and economy non-existent, no terrorist group has claimed the heist, it makes one think "how much food wouldit take to feed 200+ passengers for almost 2 months?" where do you hide a plane and people? Pakistan scenario would be the same. where do you hide a jumbo jet in pakistan away from the drones?

There was a theory that lithium ion batteries in the cargo could have started a fire that spread to the avionics bay. However, there are fire sensors all over the aircraft and many areas have integrated extinguishing systems. Therefore a catastrophic fire would indicate a failure in the fire management system that should have detected the fire before it spread to other compartments. If the fire was detected properly, then the pilots did nothing to communicate it to ground personnel. The extinguishers are probably not effective in extreme heat situations, such as lithium ion battery fires. A fire severe enough to take out the whole avionics bay would have been catastrophic. An unstoppable fire like that would have most likely spread to the rest of the plane and brought it down in short order. A crash like that would have be horrific and would have left plenty of debris. There have been cases like this already.

If this flight was a failure of colossal proportions, it had to be a highly unlikely confluence of many unpredictable conditions, including bad practices (pilot/maintenance procedures), human error, and/or strange luck. It would be the ultimate statistics/probability study case since the overall situation would fall well outside the probability curve.

I also realized that a 7 hour flight time would have been long enough to attempt a daylight water ditch. It would be good strategy to wait until sun up, but flying way out to sea is illogical.
