Antares on the ASC in Solar, many planets in 8th house

hello, i am not experienced with Solar returns, - a friend of mine asked me to have a look at his next year, - since the running year is a very turbulent one, with divorce and new lover and job difficulties and so on -
now i checked in my astrology program the solar for his next year and saw Antares exactly on the ASC, Rastaban one degree next to it, in the 1st house.
Moon is in 7, exactly opposite of POL-
Spica exactly on the cusp of the 10th.
Sun, Venus, Mars, Mercury and Jupiter, all in the 8th house.

I would read this as luck in business, career, lots of up and down in the love-sector. -
But a tremendous weakness in general. -
and what does Antares mean, and Rastaban, right on ASC ??

I'd be grateful to get help here from more experienced people!!

A solar return is read with reference to the NATAL PROMISE of the natal chart
and so
unless all the factors you mention
i.e.
luck in business, career, tremendous weakness in general and so on
are PROMISED BY THE NATAL CHART
then a solar return cannot bring them :smile:

This is the reason we frequently find that the year of a promising/spectacular solar return was a disappointment

i know a bit about Atsrology, so, yes, i know it's all in relation to the natal chart, - but
could you throw some light on my question about Antares on the ASC?
Or is this as well related to Antares' placing in the Natal?
I'M not experienced with parts and fix stars...

---and for the 8th house, - does this mean all the planets in 8 don't mean anything unless they aren't in "weak" positions in the natal chart?
That is not how i understood a solar, - but i am interested to hear your point of view!
What would this then mean?
- BTW most of the named planets are in 4th and 5th in the natal chart...
