New website with online astro calculations and astro database

Hello,

I would like to introduce new astrology website Astro-Seek.com with free astrology charts and astro calculations such as: birth chart, synastry compatibility, composite chart, transits, progressions, revolutions, ingresses, retrograde motion, lunar calendar etc.

astro-seek.com should be more "social networking" - with possibility to seek and meet people who were born on the same day (date) as you:
https://birthdays.astro-seek.com ... and every registered profile is linked to some "basic" horoscopes and numerology reports.

however, because I also love mathematics and geometry, I tried to compute some more "advanced" astro calculations and provide them online.

(btw. comparison to astro.com hardware made my day )

Hi,

Your website looks really cool. If it's possible, can you add online natal chart rectification? I know of only 1 other website that does it (based in Russia), but it's very hard (& complicated) to understand the wording of their questions.

I typed in my natal chart and then there are options to immed go to the secondary progressions and solar return chart without doing any calculations yourself. Brilliant!

I find the aspects table underneath extremely helpful when you want to quickly ascertain what is going on at the moment and immediate future.

Bravo and thank you, I will be using this site very often now.

When I do a synastry report the descriptions of the aspects say "man" and "woman" but when I input the birth data there was no field to check off for man or woman. When I flip the data, the explanations of aspects are entirely different. You need to fix that as it's very confusing.

Hi, I know about this issue.

I would like to implement more simple intepretations, but I'm still waiting for english translations :/
Until then, I added at least a button to switch between genders/interpretations:

I just looked at the link today - celebrity birthdays (July 30-Aug 2) like Peter O'Toole and celebrity deaths (July 31-Aug 1) like Gore Vidal. Love em Leos. They're among the most talented signs along with Pisces (Neptune is the planet ruling over entertainment industry). Leo is ruled by the Sun, although a star, acts like a planet in both traditional and modern astrology. And the sidereal version of astrology places Aug 1 birthdays as Cancer, which has entertainment attributes...or Cancers (modern astrologers debate Neptune has some influence for the sea crab) and Leos dominate the limelight.

Hi, yes I'm a web as well as application dev although lately with an appetite for learning more of astrology itself. I did build a mini version of such a site as a school project in 12th grade. The education board was shocked but did give me an excellent grade

I'll have to actually sign up which will happen soon and check out the different functions but it looks like you already have a few different directions going. A couple of specific things I was wanting to do is

1) implement a sig-like string of characters that contains the user's birth date/time (or the planet positions, doesn't matter) and which can be posted in user signatures on various social networking sites - say something like "?X-_NNNNNNXXYYZZ...." which has a static 'header' and some actual data after it. Then users can google it, find a link leading back to you, and get a few options for that sig

2) from there you can either show them their daily horoscope or have them matched up against others (or another sig they enter), or use a pattern filter to see who else comes up, you get the idea - this aspect has applications beyond dating et al sites as if it makes astrology more trendy it could be used just casually as well. I was trying to use a bloom filter pattern to hide the data while allowing it to be decoded and then run through an engine but no luck so far - but since some users are ok with having their birth date known maybe that's not a huge issue

Anyway it appears I'll be working on a non-astrology software deal in the not so distant future but yet I'm interested so I'll definitely be happy to help with feedback/anything astro related/possibly code or ideas. C#/.NET + HTML/CSS/Perl/a little PHP mostly on the software side from me.

**The forum admin I'm pretty sure is also a web developer. You might want to make sure that he is ok with this thread existing here.

Ad Lunar calendar - I have also some gardening "hints and tips" (harvesting, fertilizing, sowing, mowing the lawn, weed removal, etc ...) according to Moon phases.

I tried to add it for each day - next to the Organs influenced by Moon phase; but there was a problem with space on the page (too much info and too little space for it), so I gave it up.

But if someone would be interested in gardening, I could try to iplemenet another "moon phase gardening calendar", or something like that )
