PFfffttt....

Okay so like... 1% of people in America live like garbage. Maybe you need to look at the bigger picture.

Because in other countries, like 50% of people live like those people in the ground.

Oh whatever apps ...seriously, its good to think about someone else for a change.

You know two days ago, i gave an homeless guy £2 near where i live...but also stopped to speak to him too, and i asked him about his plans for nxt year etc etc ....and you know what he said to me " the fact that i actually stopped and spoken to him, was worth more than the £2 i gave him"....i was in tears when i left.

That's good Chrysalis. If it makes you happy to help homeless people, then I'm happy for you.

I would last easily. I have some money saved anyway, so it's not like I'm sleeping without shelter the first night.

And yes actually some people are actually homeless forever.

They're probably losers then.

If you don't like how there are homeless people, why don't you go to that one homeless guy you talked to and share your living space with him. Or just give away all your money to that worthless human. Because it's apparently better for him to have your hard-earned money than for you to have it.

Or better yet, if you really want to help people, and make a difference (rather than just giving away two silly pounds and having a 1 minute conversation) open up a business that provides an amazing service that benefits people who buy from you.

No they're not...anyone of us can be in that same position anyday.

Your so immature and sheltered right now....time will tell on this.

To me this wasn't two silly pounds this was my money i needed, but i felt the compassionate need to share, he looked sad...it wasn't just a 1 min convo ( i have time for people) i spoke to him for a good 10 mins about his reasons for being in the position he was and his plans etc.

Your gonna learn the hard way apps with the way you are...dnt say i didn't warn you.

Yes, but it's highly unlikely.

Most people are sheltered and don't have to worry about being homeless. So saying I'm sheltered doesn't really mean anything.

And it's not immaturity. It's just the truth lol. People who are homeless are generally losers. They have no valuable skills, are usually dumber than the average person, and they're just unpleasant people.

Lol what for like a morning coffee or something

Wow you guys should totally move in together.

That's great.

The rest have and have had ample opportunities to make themselves, and their progeny, better. My father grew up in the projects in the city, one of eight brothers and sister (only seven survived infancy). Through his success and ambition, he enabled me and my brother and sisters to not have the childhood he had; eating spam for dinner and only barely making ends meet. When he was growing up he had four options: Crime, the Police, the Priesthood, or getting out and enduring. He chose the latter most, and it worked.

America has those opportunities. Other countries have an economic safety net, America has an economic trampoline. Sure it'll catch you if you fall, but you're expected to jump back up. That is the American way, and we Americans have a right to be proud. You too, should be proud of wherever it is you come from.

Absolutely agreed. Used to be minorities couldn't get sh*t for programs, but now that many of these same programs are run by minorities, there are a plethora of means to grab yourself up by the bootstraps, if you're of a mind to do so. Problem is many of us ("Americans") aren't. Not that it's an issue for many of those who aren't; some just aren't motivated by wealth. Food? Obviously, but the housing industry is set up in such a way as to favor the go-getters, leaving those more interested in social, artistic or intellectual pursuits to kinda flounder around, which is I think where the complaints mostly come from. I think that's largely what appeals to those more interested in socialism; it provides them a chance to pursue their own agendas rather than be shoehorned into a lifestyle of constant penny-chasing. Not saying that justifies socialism, just that it picks up the slack for the other three-fourths of humanity that couldn't give a sh*t about salaries and deadlines so long as they've got an opportunity to do the things they enjoy doing.

That's something that will be changing in the Aquarian Age, however: As more and more mundane infrastructure-level jobs become taken over and automated by machines, it'll leave people with less and less they need to bust *ss to get done just to put a roof over their heads. And then we've gotta begin worrying about resources, which could be resolved by asteroid mining, meaning we've really gotta start getting people to understand and accept astrology as a science. We've already got working teleporters, so once we figure out how to "copy and paste" or even replicate atomic and cellular structure, it's a short step to being able to send resources "home" from distant, uninhabitable star systems. So, f*ck yeah, I'm excited about the Age of Aquarius.

Not having valuable skills is not the same thing as not having skills that others value. And as I was homeless for about a month, I can say with certainty that not all homeless are unintelligent. Sometimes life just throws you a loop. You deal with it as best you can, and sometimes the options aren't great. Couldn't find anyplace where I was at that would let me rent at a price-range I could afford and also let me keep Bella. I wasn't getting rid of Bella, however. That was never an option. Some folk may not appreciate dogs for what and who they are, but Bella's my baby. Probably the only I'll ever have. And she appreciated me through periods no human did, so that earns her my loyalty, in my book. Tail or no tail. (Kinda f*cked when dogs are often more humane than most humans.)

As to being unpleasant, many would say you are, too, so careful where you aim that dogma.
