UK & EU want to let baby die

I've followed this heartbreaking story in the UK press of British parents trying to save their baby's life. For reasons which I find hard to believe, they aren't allowed to bring the baby to the US for experimental treatment even though they've raised over a million dollars.

President Trump has offered to help. Let's see if this is covered in the US mainstream media since it shows Trump in a positive light. This is why he tweets -- to bypass the presstitutes who censor the news.

Trump’s pledge to help sick UK baby as millions of US kids lose coverage is a reality TV-style stunt

Trump, Politico said, tweeted that he would be “delighted” to help the Gard family obtain the experimental treatment upon which they are hanging their hopes.

“If we can help little #CharlieGard, as per our friends in the U.K. and the Pope, we would be delighted to do so,” the president tweeted.
Supporters started a #Trump4Charlie hashtag campaign, convincing themselves and each other that Trump will save the baby’s life.
The Congressional Budget Scoring Office (CBO) said this week that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY)’s “Trumpcare” bill would leave 23 million Americans uninsured by 2026, many of whom number among the country’s most vulnerable citizens.

It is a tough story. The doctors must also feel strongly that the baby had been through enough, but I can't imagine the heartbreak of having the power taken from you when all you want to do is try save your baby. But maybe they are not seeing correctly and let their baby finally have some peace. So much medicine and science these days, when is enough enough?

The reason millions of people will not be insured under the new health care plan, if the lazy Senate gets off its ***, is because they DON'T WANT HEALTH INSURANCE. People want to have a choice instead of being forced to buy something. That 22 million number approximates the people NOW who opt out and pay the fine instead of having insurance.

With the improving economy (lowest rate of black unemployment in seventeen years according to the Labor Dept), many people with Obamacare will be covered instead under their employer's plan. That is one reason why fewer people are predicted to need Medicaid because they will have higher incomes. Medicaid spending will increase 20% over the next ten years. Also states will decide how to allocate that money since people in Mississippi have different needs than those in NYC.

The CBO score is often wrong just as it was for Obamacare where it said 22 million would be covered when actual numbers were just under 10 million. It is a finance calculator and not a predictor of human behavior.

People with Obamacare don't have health insurance, they have a health insurance card. Some states have one or no insurers and they keep shutting down so these people are paying for nothing. Many doctors won't honor the insurance. Even if a few insurers are left, with a $6000 or larger deductible and payments going up by triple digits this year, they will never get to use the insurance they've paid for. One of Trump's first executive orders was to eliminate the mandate to buy insurance so people get some financial relief while waiting for a new plan.

Trump spoke to people at all of his rallies and they all wanted him to repeal and replace. The trouble is there is no 'one size fits all' health plan. Yes, Obamacare helped a few people but we have to think of helping the majority.

Re: UK & EU want to let baby die

Did you even read my post? Yes, nine million people have Obamacare but most couldn't use it. A very few people with serious conditions who could afford to pay thousands for the deductible and many thousands more for insurance use it. The rest of the people had a pretty but useless insurance card in their wallet since doctors in their area wouldn't take it and many insurance carriers bailed out.

Watch Dr. Tom Price, Sec. of HHS, who explains the replacement health care plan. This was in March and it has been changed a bit in the House and will be changed again in the Senate as always happens with these things. Price gives you a summary and then answers questions from the press

Here is the transcript of that briefing

Yet more help offered from the Vatican but refused by the government single payer death panel. Shocking! It's one thing if the parents were told no one could help but here they have offers coming from several places. This is what happens when government controls your health care.
