Will I be happier next year?

My life is so much better now that I've returned to the UK, but I'm still struggling to socialise with other people because I've been so isolated these past several years when I was living abroad. I really want to have a group of friends, a boyfriend, and to have a career I'm passionate about such as turning my volunteering with animals to an actual job.

Not asking for all at once, but will my life be happier next year?

I'm Scorpio (Mars) in retro 1st house trining Venus in +9. Mars is Scorpio's ruler. Is this good? But it's in retrograde so I'm confused?

A bit worried about Venus, Sun, and Mercury being in my 8th house.

Jupiter in my 10th house aspecting Venus in +2? Will I get a creative career? But Jupiter is detriment in Virgo.

The Moon will sextile the Sun in +5. Is that the end result?

Yes I'm suffering from anxiety and depression. I'm just struggling to adjust socially. Sorry if I posted in the wrong section. I didn't know where this question belonged. To clarify, my question is more about feeling happier next year rather than achieving I guess.

Thank you.

Mars is in retrograde and in it's ruler Scorpio. I don't know whether being in retrograde is good as I only know it's a return of something or someone and it aspects the Sun at 0 with a setsquiquadrate (minor tense) so I'm definitely worrying about my career in this present time. Could the retrograde be re-thinking about my career?

Mars then aspects Mercury with a Biquintile at 0.
This is what I found about this aspect:
The Biquintile, as the name implies, is a 144 degree aspect showing a unique interactive situation, where one gift interacts with another gift, creatively and/or regeneratively. It is an interactive unique form of self-expression that often involves other people and their unique gifts, whether they align harmoniously with yours or not.

Mars then aspects Venus which is in Trine 9A, but Venus does not seem to have a good dignity and is in 8th house. The Sun is also in 8th house. What do those planets in 8th house mean?

The moon is exhaulting in my 6th house as I volunteer with animals, but sextiles the Sun (Career) is 5A. Does that mean a career opportunity is coming up where I volunteer with animals?

Will I be happier next year? As in "feel" happier next year? I can't tell? Can someone direct me to what else I need to look at? The moon is the end result right?

I'm not sure which house rules happiness. Is it 11th? Hopes and wishes? 10TH for success, 2nd for money. Happiness is different for different people. I'd say this chart looks pretty good. Moon is in good dignity and Mars is also in its own domicile, although rx. I guess this could mean having to change plans with the rx. Also both significators which show you as head (Mars) and heart/emotion (Moon) are in negative reception to each other, so they work at cross purposes. So perhaps there in lies the problem. The plans you make don't really bring you emotional happiness and if you make emotional choices, you start thinking negatively about them.

I'm thinking perhaps you had certain expectations when you came to UK, but those expectation have not been fulfilled and so the doubt and anxiety comes. Maybe remove those expectations, happiness is fluid. No one feels happy all the time. And if you have goals, maybe deal with them one at a time.

Because your question is broad its hard to pinpoint to one aspect and say yes, this will happen or that. But as I said, there is good dignity so you can have what you want, but maybe rethink your plans a bit. Moon applies to 10th ruler Sun, so this is the job/career, but it could very well be you meeting a man. So I can't say what this aspect is, you need a more direct question for us to say what Sun is.

So I can't really say that you will find happiness, but this chart looks quite good, Sun/Venus trine ASC, Moon and Mars strong (it looks like things are really in your own hands). Only Saturn is nasty at the 2nd, depleting your income and resources. So maybe sit down and re-think, what do you want to do. Have you though about studying something? Maybe study something related to animal care, perhaps you can find work at the zoo? Here in Oz we have certificates in animal care https://taronga.org.au/about-us/careers/working-here/so-you-want-be-zoo-keeper The link just to give you an idea. If you have done some formal course, maybe this will make you more attractive to animal shelters/zoo managers, plus your volunteering as well.

Got to go. But stay focused on what you want and make plans. Don't get depressed, keep pushing forward, there is always a way!

Hi Lily,

I was under the impression that an aspect between two planets had to be perfect. Mars will go direct and never make the perfect aspect to Venus. To me that suggests you'll still struggle with matters related to H7 and H12. Mars changes signs in 7 degrees, does that equate to 7 months?
