Virginia Tech won 71-56, actually better than expected.Virginia did play strong defense. Boston was expected to score in the mid 60's but was held to 56 pts.

As I pointed out in another post, your first task is to find out when these games start. I have no information on college hoops, but I'll make a strong bet that it wasn't at 9:00 pm. Check as many games on TV as you can to see if they follow a pattern, like the NBA. Without an accurate start time you're just guessing.
