Sorry; I'm just beginning to read into Vedic astrology and just taking tidbits of stuff at the time. Is the iron ring your special stone? You might be able to find out what to wear using the report on this site: http://astrobix.com/horoscope/birthchart. I notice it talk about wearing special stones.

The major-period that is current is that of Mercury. The sub-period of Rahu has been operating since June/2015. It will continue till Jan/2018.
Rahu is badly placed and Saturn is passing over it for the next 2.5 years.
The effect of Sun, Venus, Moon and Jupiter would be felt in this combined period.
Hence matters relating to the stomach would be to the forefront. You may face deceit in financial matters. There may be changes in place and job. Expenses may rise and you may have to stay at a new place against your wishes. You may have to travel over short distances regularly. You may deal in property and role of younger siblings may be prominent.
Use of iron will not help. Pray to Mother Durga.
