Trump Jr. subpoenaed by Senate Intelligence Committee.

I saw that today. It will be interesting if he shows up. He probably won't or will just take the 5th. One political watcher said he'll likely show up and invoke the following:

"I'm sorry Senator, but on the advice of counsel, I'm am going to invoke the 'Too-Stupid-To-Know-I've-Committed-A-Crime' exception." [Scott S]

The way I see it, if numbskulls continue to vote for Trump after seeing or in most cases, not reading or comprehending the Mueller Probe Report on Obstruction Volume 2., they deserve what they get which will be nothing except the dissolution of the Jeffersonian democracy and Republic, they claimed to have once loved. The rest of us will just have to suffer along as the universe unfolds as it should.

IMO, the guy is :bandit: a con-man. Albeit a creative one at that who is the King of Lies.

Donald "I Do Not Recall" Trump has (so far) lied his way out of all charges
and then declared himself "innocent". And his supporters actually BELIEVE him! :sideways:

Price of gas is as high as it's been in years! The price of gas matters in Presidential elections. It also raises the cost of transporting merchandise, which is passed on to the consumers.

Trump and Bolton are stalking the Straits of Hormuz off of Iran.

We haven't yet seen what can happen to the gasoline prices, imo - if trump figures out the old saying "they don't abandon a war President".

Someone who has no apparent conscience except for himself I'd not put anything beyond him.

He isn't very bright, and Bolton is a war monger from way back. He pushed for the invasion and occupation of Iraq based on no evidence.

He's doing the same again but this time with a POTUS who is as dumb as a skunk.

I don't think however, Trump likes the idea of involving himself in a war, but again, he needs something to endear him to the American people and knows how to exploit them. Crafty like a fox?

Hi leomoon,

Every president you ever elect will do that, until Iran is under US control.

So, President Robert de Niro, President Pocahontas, President Kamala Harris, President Biden, President Mother Teresa, President Bono, President Taylor Swift, President Morgan (from the Walking Dead) and even your mother are going to do it, whenever the opportunity presents itself.

While US presidents have control over foreign policy, they have no control over something known as "geo-strategy." Government employees control your geo-strategy, and there's a very good reason why they do and presidents don't. Part of that reason is that if you change strategy every 4 to 8 years with a new president, then you end up having no coherent strategy at all and you will fail.

Your strategy requires the US to control Iran in order to have access to all the resources in central Asia, and the US needs control of central Asia in order to have control over all the resources in eastern Russia.

You may read about it here:

The costs of not implementing this strategy are clear. Failure to meet our defense objectives will result in decreasing U.S. global influence, eroding cohesion among allies and partners, and reduced access to markets that will contribute to a decline in our prosperity and standard of living.

In order for Americans to keep the standard of living and life-style they've come to know and love, military actions are necessary.

So, this Administration IS causing the rise in the price of gas!

Sorry AJ your quote is too long so I opted not to respond to it by quote.
However I happen to be a peace - nik. Means I don't believe in wars not by any justification other then at the doorsteps of this country and in defense only, not offensive tactics. So not interested in others justifying WARS for oil or land or anything else.

blackbery, loosing billions of dollars during an extended period of time is common for any billion dollar business.

Trump's casino isn't the only one who has faced losses for extended periods of time. Caesar's entertainment, one of the biggest and most iconic casinos, has reported financial losses in the billions during years. Its similar in other examples.

That criticism just shows you have little idea how the financial world works, not something unexpected from someone who adheres to progressive ideology.

Apparently, it was also real estate losses during a recession/depression in mostly commercial real estate, which happened in California as well. Trump claims he did it on purpose to avoid paying taxes, which is the name of the game for the extremely wealthy in particular. That would mean there was some tricky but legal(?) bookkeeping going on.
Dirius, why did Trump lose his credit with U.S. banks, and have to turn to Germany and Russia?

I wouldn't know, that would be the bank's prerogative. Any bank can refuse a loan if they consider it a bad investment (ergo, that it may not be repayed in full); and considering Trump had at the time restructured some of his debts and was close to being bankrupt, banks may not have seen loaning him money as a profitable venture. But I don't actually know much about that specific case, I haven't read much of his books. As far as I'm concerned, all of this was public knowledge known for over 2 decades, not anything new.

But then again, this is usual in the business world.
