Question about aspects, applying and separating

sorry if this question was posted and answered already, i searched and couldn't find an answer

in natal charts, do aspects such as applying and separating, happen constantly in our life? Let’s say my moon squared venus applying, once it becomes exact and then separate, will they not move towards each other again? or does the cycle continue of moving to and fro?

been trying to wrap my head around it :crying:, thank you for any help and explanations!

APPLICATION

- although in a general sense the term 'applying' is used for
any planet moving towards the conjunction or aspect of another
in strict terminology
a planet is said to be 'in application' or 'applying' to another
when the planets are within orb of aspect
and moving towards perfection (exactness).

Planetary motion must be considered
for if a planet is retrograde
an aspect that appears to be applying towards exactness
may in fact be separating,
and if a planet is about to turn retrograde
an aspect that is currently in a state of application
may fail to perfect.
Usually one planet is moving more quickly than the other
and this planet is said to be making the application
or casting the aspect.
The slower planet receives the influence.

If the slower moving planet is retrograde
or turns retrograde before the aspect perfects
the planets are said to be mutually applying to each other.

SEPARATION
- Although in a general sense the term 'separating'
is applied to any planet moving away from the conjunction
or aspect of another
in strict terminology a planet is said to be 'separating' from another
when the planets are within orb of aspect
and moving away from perfection (exactness).

Planetary motion must be considered
for if a planet is retrograde
an aspect that appears to be separating from exactness
may in fact be applying
and if a planet is about to turn retrograde
an aspect that is currently in a state of separation
may once again perfect.
Many traditional texts refer to a small distance
by which the planets must be separated
from perfection of the aspect
before they can be considered to be in the stage of separation.

William Lilly mentions 6 minutes
others mention 16 minutes or 1 full degree
This may indicate a region in which the aspect is so close to perfection
that its effects are fully expressed
but since the moment of peak unification has passed
as soon as the aspect begins to break up
it seems logical to describe the planets thus
when they are known to be 1 minute past the point of exactness.

Take Moon conjunct Jupiter.

As Moon approaches Jupiter, having completed and left behind her waning sextile to Jupiter, she will apply to the conjunction as she enters her sphere of influence [orb of aspect]. She then perfects the conjunction and separates from it, en route to the waxing sextile.

Moon, being much faster than Jupiter, continues to form aspects, in order, as she moves through her complete Moon-Jupiter cycle and finally returns to the conjunction...the ending of an old cycle and beginning of a new.

Thank you too for answering! Glad to understand it is a cycle!
