Hi all,
I hope you are all well today. I have just signed up to the forum and I'm so excited to learn and grow within the community.
My interest in astrology began as a young child, when I would scour magazines or newspapers for Libra sun sign interpretations. I would often be confused when in some reading materials I was considered a Libra and in others a Scorpio (23rd of October Birthday, Sun 29 degrees of Libra). It was not until about a year ago that I stumbled upon a Podcast that discussed natal charts which peaked my interest. So, it was from there that I attained a copy of my own chart and I quickly learned that I had a true cusp condition of my Sun, with the Sun's half degree wide disc part way over into Scorpio at the time of my birth. I also learned that looking at astrology merely through Sun Signs was a very small part of a much larger picture and it was from here that I delved into my chart. I must also be honest and state that I went on this journey looking for answers. I lacked direction at this time in my life, as sometime I still often do, and felt like I may gain some insight in how to claw my way out of a dark hole.
Now that is not to say that my journey into astrology has not also held some darkness, as my relationship with my own chart has been at times a tricky one. I have on occasion felt distain towards it, for the guilt and loneliness it holds (Saturn in Scorpio in H12), for the over-indulged caution it shows (Moon parallel South Node) and for the intense inner drama it depicts (Pluto with South Node).
But I have also grown to have great appreciation and fondness for my chart. I can Identify with my love to make others feel at ease and appreciated (Venus Culminating) and my kindness and compassion towards other (Venus Sextile Asc). While I can also identify that I'm a deep well with the ability to rise like a Phoenix from the ashes in regards to my emotions (Moon Trine Pluto).
I have spent much time considering all of these things, the good and the ugly, and have come to the conclusion that what I appreciate most is that it has guided me towards self-reflection. Through consideration of my chart, I feel I have gained insight into what I should attempt to let go of and what I can incorporate into my life that can help me to become a more well-rounded individual. That is why I feel that now more than ever, astrology can really help us all to grow and improve.
All in all, I have thoroughly enjoyed musing upon my findings in my chart, but understand that I still have so much more to learn. I would love to really understand my Air Grand Trine, with Venus on the MC, trine Jupiter and Chiron, and how I can best utilize this. I would also love to learn more on Yod's and Orbs and basically the list is endless.
That is why I have joined this community, not only to share my own findings, as little as they may be, but to hopefully build on my knowledge from others and perhaps in the future be able to help someone else in their journey.
Well, I hope this has helped you learn a little about me and I hope I can get to know you all, in time.
Take Care
