Job interview: Mercury retrograde hit me for six today...

Hello everyone :D

Dunno why I am smiling, I have had the worst job interview EVER.

I am a Gemini Sun, (Scorpio Rising, Aquarius Moon), and this mercury retro has just beaten me out of my ideal job in Radio Research, . But typical Gemini, have landed another job interview on Monday hehe.

Before you say - "how do you know you didn't get it?" - lemme put it to you this way - when the second interviewer was about to say we'll contact you - she just cut the sentence short, LOL

In the interview I clammed up. I had all the right qs, all the right answers and when it came down to it, I just_clammed_up.

And the first interviewer - she hated me as well, lol

Here is the chart for job interview one.

and here is the chart for interview two:

<a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p26/indigojenardu/jobinterviewtwo.gif" border="0" alt="Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting"></a>

How can I alleviate this wretched retrograde period - will I get either job? (oooooh horary question, :) ).

Ah...I'm smiling but really; I am gutted. I'm just putting a brave face on it. :(

Does this Mercury RX cycle roll over your Aquarius Moon? It sure rolls over mine!

Don't sweat it.. It's just a job. Everything happens for a reason, and employeers seldom reveal how pathetic their company, coworkers and work environment are until well after you've been hired. I've been burnt a number of times. It always seems great until you get there and realize how fubbed up the place is!

Curious, what sort of radio work are you after? I guess we're both Uranians, we've both got Moon disposited by Uranus, and I've got a Mercury/Uranus conjunction in Uranus's 11th house. I've been involved in radio communications since I was quite young and work on wireless digital data solutions. Do you have Mercury/Uranus aspects, or the Mercury/Uranus midpoint activated? This combination is very prevelant among us RF geeks.

I hope Monday's interview goes better. Mercury should have picked up a decent bit of speed by then, so it should be smoother. Mercury is pretty neutral, he doesn't mind being male or female, or going forwards or backwards. What bothers him is slowness. You know, all that airy energy, he just cant stand to sit still! I find that most Mercury RX troubles happen near the stations. The RX period itself isnt as bad, as long as there's some swiftness to his motion.

Even beyond the RX cycle, Mercury is Pisces isn't nearly as clear as usual. If you are financially sound, you might wait until the RX period is over and Mercury is in Aries. Aries is self-centered, aggressive, wonderful at shameless self promotion and loves to work on acheiving a goal. This is perfect energy for an interview! If you happen to have an important placement in Leo or Sag, you might try to set up an interview around the time Mercury trines that placement, and see if you could schedule the interview around Mercury being on a local angle, so he projects himself better :)

The job was for the one of the best radio media companies in the world. :(

I'm a pure Uranian. It sits retrograde and sparky in my first house :D And it also makes a nice little trine-y thingywotsit to mercury in cancer (mercury doesn't do so well there, I am told...)

I'm a researcher by trade (I do other stuff outside of this as well) but I am a trained researcher. At least, that's what's on my CV and qualifications. Didn't feel like it when she was firing all those questions at me.

Oh well...

Let's see Monday's job interview...this isn't in Radio research, but social research/education research...

I've given charts for each interview in my previous post, you need to click on the second link for each...

Well...as Mercury retrogrades ask...it asks for planning.

Childcare went up the spout: couldn't get in touch with the childminder - her phone just kept on ringing and mobile phone switched off. (Why am I not surprised????)

Got through to my hubby at work - he said he would do the childcare thing...

Tube lines absolutely disrupted, but found alternative route which was fast moving and no delays.

Tell you what though: I think the interviewer was also a gemini or had some gemini thing going on in her chart - because her first words were: Sorry I'm late today, I don't know what's going on, because I've been late to everything, and my email is down..

LOL

So:

Prior to the interview, I planned and planned and wrote down all the things I had to say.

Dunno if I'll get the job, but....who knows - it has boosted my confidence and I feel better about today's one...

:)
