How can a phone make you ignorant?

It's not the phone - it's the product. I used the I-phone because of it's slave base roots in production(And the fact that some people worship this thing). But I could've used an I-pad and made the same post.

The product makes people happy and blinded in that happiness, not a one questions where the product came from or how it was made. This leads to ignorance, which is defined by lack of information with the toys people play with.

Phones are just phones though.

Excellent post Bambi! You could have used almost any other product to make the point. Shoes, for example:

http://www1.american.edu/ted/nike.htm

This and other problems simply can't be solved within the current system because they are built into the system - that is what the system produces. Just as socialism always evolves towards political favoritism and dictatorship, capitalism has also evolved towards mindless race for profit, with complete disregard for human life and nature (not to mention inequality, 99% vs. 1%)

The only solution, as I see it, is to abolish all "isms" and move into moneyless post-scarcity society - resource based economy (RBE), where all decisions are made by algorithms (bypassing "human greed" factor, once and for all) and are based on availability (or lack) of resources or in another words - common sense.

Debtors' Prison for Kids:
Poor Children Incarcerated When Families Can't Pay Juvenile Court Fees
First-of-its-kind report finds children are being imprisoned nationwide
when families can't pay fines levied by juvenile justice system
"The debt in effect creates a rift between parents and their children," one survey respondent said
and went on to describe a grandmother who was told to consider giving up custody of her grandson
in order to avoid paying his juvenile court fees
http://www.commondreams.org/news/20...cerated-when-families-cant-pay-juvenile-court

"Moreover," the report continues, "while further research is needed,
existing studies suggest that court costs, fees, and fines have limited,

if any

fiscal benefit to states and counties
given the difficulty in collecting from families in poverty and the high administrative costs in trying to do so."
The Juvenile Law Center details the varying policies on juvenile court system fees state-by-state

on a new website

and also highlights the few counties and states who are attempting to rectify the problem.

The report authors observe that incarcerating children for their families' inability to pay fees
may be unconstitutional

Capitalism, the commercialization of the human spirit, and Max Weber have not helped. The entire global system is a prison, in invisible ways that most people don't even realize. They accept it as though it has to be a given.

What's America's sixth house look like? Haven't seen the chart for good old stars and stripes, but it'd be interesting to see that area.

IMO according to the Sibly chart, the U.S. is a Taurus 6th H (22 d).

You can see it in the breadbasket... Guess which U.S. border nation illegally crosses to do much of the work..?

Speaking of which, not to ask a Goat a rhetorical question so to speak, but how the hell are ya Blaze?

Been a Goat of many colours myself... Still have no idea who Cortez is - if you follow my logic.

Its good to see ya, Duby. I'm doing pretty good myself. Just sitting back and taking each day as it comes.

Think Cortez is apart of Nike, which treats their "workers" quite horrid.

Thanks for the link, Mon ami. I'll give it a look see when I've some free time.
