I think maybe some kind of fear can attract the negative spirits. Or in my experience when I see bad spirits in my dreams/visions (the few times I have) it helps to confront them without fear, then they get scared usually and run away. Then they know they cant harm you.

Also I dont think they like when you feel love or light, when you are secure about yourself.

Maybe can help to meditate this warm feeling of love? The unconditional kind ofcourse:) Might help to think about people that are very close to you? and positive experiences in life? For me its the feeling I get from babies/small children and/or animals. That you want to care for them and get nothing back.

Depending on how sensitive you are ie if you have a lot of water in the chart. I would recommend you go to a college or do a course. That way you can get guidance on how to deal with the negative energies and its true as you open up you pick up these. Not sure where you are based but in UK there are a lot of reputable courses and reasonably priced. Also some of the spiritualist churches do very cheap or even free stuff.

meditation is good, imagining a protective bubble, dark blue cloak. however people have varying degrees of abilities to clear this stuff. Meditation as a practice can take years to master.

karmic links. I look for saturn and the north nodes and south nodes. - contact to these two points . planets in 12th and 4th house too.

8th house is about psychic abilities - are these in earth? also death/occult and mysteries
you really should pursue this. I would recommend a course though to see how it goes.
I have a friend with sun and mercury in taurus here - but she just wont go there. such a shame - I think, as this is a gift.
if in earth i think better able to keep a hold on it. but either way this could be a fascinating area for you.

I think Draconic charts can show past links? You look at your draconic against that artists natal and vice versa. I believe close conjunctions between the two charts are signs that you may have known each other in a past life?

Don't quote me. I don't know that much about those charts.

Hey everyone, I have two spirituality based questions.

1. I've often had visions, psychic moments, nightmares, etc. I've sometimes had negative energies around me. I'd like to know if theres a way to kind of clear them out, so that I could have a better connection to potential positive energies. Is there a way to do this? I've been thinking about positive spirits, angels, of sorts, and I'd like to understand them more.

2. There is an artist that I feel an intense connection and understanding with to his works and who he was. He passed away a while ago, we've never met. I have his chart though, I was wondering if astrologically I could tell if we are spiritually connected, and in what way? Would a composite be more reasonable? for me synastry explains the interactions between two people on a daily basis, so I'm not sure which to use. How do I go about figuring this out?

Composite charts only work when two people are 'together' and as you are not there wouldn't be much point.

With planets in 8th house and/or 12th are the psychic houses (also 4th, water houses)

I doubt very much whether a college would have ANY suitable courses, in how to protect yourself 'psychically' What I would suggest (if you want to develop) is go to your local spiritualist church and find out where the 'development circles' are to be had as THEY will teach you how to open up and close down properly. I wouldn't recommend you developing on your own.

Meditation does not take years if you have an 'imagination' then you can meditate and go on a guided journey with a circle leader. Or buy some tapes, try Brian Weiss (famous author and hypnotherapist)

Having been psychically attacked myself I can tell you a protective bubble and all your suggestions are pointless. The only thing I found helpful was to 'imagine' sitting inside a pyramid, plus if you want to put reflective mirrors on the outside as this will 'send back' any negativity or jealousy directed to you.

If you do feel negative spirits around you, try usuing 'rescue remedy' send a prayer and thoughts out to your guides and doorkeeper to draw close and protect you.

The colleges I was referring to - were specialist colleges in this field. however these are London UK based.

they definitely do run courses in this area..........and there are other similar reputable colleges- they are not expensive.
in relation to the meditation I refer to the Buddhists tradition who teach that meditation is a life long practice and state it takes many years to master.

If interested in spiritual "self-defense", do not overlook what many esotericists (including me) regard as the #1 instructional book on the subject: Dion Fortune's "Psychic Self-Defense".

"the soul is engaged in the transformation of emotional energies, in ‘penetrating the darkness of himself to take out the light’ (Samael Aun Weor). This process in the intensity, may go on for many lifetimes and requires those with this placement to face the Human Shadow manifesting both through self and other. Pluto in the 8th House tends to create a fascination for taboo subjects and psychotic people. The Plutonian himself may be the victim of compulsions and obsessions (his own or those of others) and intrusions from the lower astral. Nightmares and visitations are common with this placement. In personal relationships a person with Pluto in the 8th House transforms the lives of his partners but in circumstances usually viewed as destructive by all concerned. Violence, whether physical, emotional or sexual, is common when Pluto is in H8, including within the relationship with one or both parents."

Also 8th house is 'other people' values and beliefs' as opposed to 2nd your own personal values and beliefs - so you can be 'transformed' through other people's value system

Old timer Alan Leo's book, "Esoteric Astrology", has some significant insights regarding signs and planets that will be of interest to the spiritually inclined (Leo's was really the first book in English, in modern times-{around 1900}to address this subject; other early-modern books investigating this subject are several by John Hazelrig, as well as Burgoyne's "Light of Egypt")

Dr Farr you do post some interesting references. I will look out for some of these books. wish I had more time to study.

I thought about this afterwards that you have the libra in saturn transit coming up and also the pluto in cap transit. I wonder if this is what brought you to the board?! saturn in libra a good time to start studying and in this area saturn is the discipline to get this going. as I cant see your chart not sure where the cap in pluto transit will effect but it will square your libra planets.
pluto in scorpio is well placed is it not?! also well placed in the 8th! so you have ability to dig really deep. however your sun in libra may be less comfortable with digging deep?
I see you have taken down your chart. I wondered what degree of scorpio your pluto is in? cos Im scorpio rising 8 degrees.
synastry - check out cafeastrology.com.
happy studying

I have read this book and think it's excellent. I even slept with a lighted candle for days when I was attacked, not to mention saying the Lord's prayer, drawing a pentagram, an upside down star of david behind my closed bedroom door and using rescue rememdy. Really it's not nice being woken in the middle of the night with a pair of hands round your neck trying to chock you. :crying:
