Question about medical treatment to choose

Dear astrologers, I wonder if someone would help me read the following horary chart. The question is if I should follow medical treatment (hormonal suppression and surgery) for my health condition or if I should follow holistic treatment (addressing the emotional causes of my condition, and relieving symptoms with natural medicine).

First of all, for almost 10 years I have a gynecological condition called endiometriosis. It's not a rare one because it is said to affect 3 to 10% of women all over the world. The cause is uncertain, anyway is a condition that can become life threatening.

"Endometriosis is an abnormal growth of cells, the same that form the inside of the uterus, but in a location outside of the uterus". This causes the formation of implants of tissue that can affect organs of the pelvic cavity as well as the intestines (the tissue sticks to organs, affecting them). Imagine gelatine with fruits in it, when it sets fruits cannot move freely, that's what happens in a way with pelvic organs. You can even constipate or fail to get pregnant among worst scenarios. This tissue have blood vessels, and as a woman is menstruating the tissue starts bleeding and irritates the surrounding organs, causing pain.

Without treatment after some time, and depending on many factors, organs can become heavily affected and also ovarian cancer and other organs cancer may appear. I must say this condition doesn't have a cure but it can be relieved by removing tissue implants through a medical procedure, though implants will still appear. Hormonal suppression is also a treatment, otherwise symptoms naturally dissappear with menopause (though it's not advisable to keep treatment on hold because of possible serious affectation of pelvic organs as well of the liver and even the brain).

As I said before I have this condition for over ten years. However, I have successfully became pregnant and bore two children. There have been months were this condition had not affected me seriously and it seemed that after becoming pregnant and giving birth to my first child symptoms simply dissappeared. But, after giving birth to my second child is when symptoms reappeared.

I haven't addressed this condition earlier because it was difficult to me to find a doctor whom I can trust. I live in a country where male chauvinism is rampant and sexual molestation is rarely complaint. Sexual molestors in the medical field are rarely reported to authorities. Personally, I have been molested by several doctors but fortunately I have found a gynecologist that seems to be impeccable.

I recently had a scan (because I felt a heavy weight on my cesarean section scar) doctor found I have implants there as well as heavy ones on my intestines (My bowel movements are slow because of this). I may have lesser implants (I guess on my ovaries) but they can only be seen through a laparoscopy.

So my doctor has advised me to initially take an hormonal suppression therapy and after a few months had a laparoscopy to see what's going on. My cesarean section is recent so he told me it would be better to wait, I also have to stop breastfeeding my baby in order to start hormonal suppression therapy (doctor has told me it's okay if I don't start immediately, but I should start as soon as I can't cope with endometriosis symptoms).

What should I do? Should I follow medical or holistic treatment? What do the stars advice?

Thanks in advance. :)

Astrology aside - have you tried diet? Like organic foods and no carbs?

I had endometriosis. I had the laparoscopy which helped a lot. They cauterised the lining of the uterus and I stopped getting pain. I'm lucky I haven't got it back cos they say a lot of women get it back after one year. My diet seems to be helping.

As for astrology - 8th ruler of surgery is Venus. If looking at modern astrology you (Neptune) are in exaltation of the surgery, so you'll be happy about it and its a tribe. But if using traditional astrology then Jupiter is beneficial and tribes Venus but is in detriment of Venus. I still think it will be beneficial. Whatever you do, don't take the hormonal medication. You seriously don't need it.

Abby, I really appreciate your advice! You have made me think, when I gave birth to my first child and symptoms seemed to have dissappeared I was on an almost vegetarian diet (I had been mostly vegetarian for one year, I used to eat a variety of vegetables and legumes, but I also ate fish, eggs and dairy products from time to time), but as soon as I got pregnant of my second child I started eating meat because I feared an anemia. I currently live with my mother and her food is high on carbohydrates and poultry, I think I'll start cooking for myself again. Hopefully it will help me as in your case.

I don't want to take the hormonal suppression therapy because of my baby. But I had to take it into consideration because lately I've been feeling the symptoms two weeks before my period. It's not easy to live with them, but I really hope laparoscopic surgery helps me... I have POS and I have a 2cm cyst on my left ovary, I also have an implant on the left side of my c. section scar, so there's a heavy weight for me to carry two weeks per month.

I'm glad to know the surgery will be good. I have terrible experiences with my two cesarean sections, so I'm a bit anxious about entering a surgery room again. I just hope my gynecologist could be able to make the procedure.

Thanks again!! :D
Namaste!

I hear ya.

I used to have the two week symptoms too.

When I was pregnant I had the worst diet. I'm normally a very healthy eater. But during pregnancy the only food I could keep down for half an hour without vomiting was junk food. So that caused my endometriosis. But the surgery followed by diet got rid of it. Now, I can eat carbs and ice cream and cake a little each day but I have to have veg and protein too. I can't have junk like fast food though cos there's too many chemicals.

Another thing that helped after surgery was a homeopath. I used to be overemotional, depressed, and moody. Now with the homeopathic medicine my brain is thinking clearly, logically, and intellectually so I'm smarter and more aware of my diet and my emotions. I no longer get that two week period every month of being irritable, depressed and eating junk.

Using the chart you supplied there are several possibilities. Mars rules surgery and it is in the 12th house. This is a bad place for Mars so surgery should be avoided. The sixth house rules disease and it is ruled by the Sun in the 4th house. The first house is health and it is ruled by Jupiter in the 9th house. Jupiter is in a fortunate but weak place while the Sun is powerful.

Solar remedies are indicated due to the strength of the Sun. As a preventive try the solar herb Mate. It grows in Paraguay, but seems to be widely available. It tastes like green tea and you can drink some everyday. It is a powerful anti-inflammatory. If you experience symptoms, take the homeopathic remedy Thuja. Homeopathics work best when symptoms are present.

I guess I was a bit depressed when symptoms return. I just have to be sure if homeopathic medicine is safe for my baby (she's 7 months old), because I'll breastfeed her for at least five more months.

Lately my liver couldn't stand the animal protein, carbs and starch based diet my mother trusts. I also have lost the taste for junk food, my body seems to have turned over sensitive to sugar and fat. So I'm really happy to have one more reason (one that cannot be postponed) to start following a veggie based diet again.

Thanks a lot for sharing your experience :) It had helped me a lot to reconsider my choices.

Hello Culpeper, thank you very much for your reading.

I found out that solar herb mate has kombucha, is that the tea indicated?. In my country kombucha tea and yerba mate are sold separately, however, I have to find which doses are safe for nursing women. Though I'm from South America, in my culture women are not used to drinking that yerba mate and I have to be careful. I used to drink ganoderma mushroom products before, so I trust eastern medicine a lot. Anyway I have to be careful about safe dosage for nursing mothers like me.

About powerful sun in the chart, does it mean that my condition is getting worst?

Thanks in advance.

One's body is the best doctor available!!!

I've also read that when your consciousness starts reaching a higher level your body starts to reject processed foods and the like!!! We are on the right track then. :p

I'll take a slightly different approach here. I have to stress that I am not a medical specialist or an expert in medical astrology. I am following along in several medical astrology books.

You are symbolized by Jupiter, appropriately located in the 8th house, which rules genital organs. Your 6th house of health/illness is ruled by the sun. I don't get why it should be in the 3rd house, associated with Mercury. However, the 7th house rules the health care practitioner. With Virgo on the cusp, probably the Mercury link to the sun is appropriate. Traditionally Mars rules surgeons, as well, and the moon's next aspect is conjunct Mars.

The sun does rule your overall vitality, so maybe this is the issue.

This makes me think you are likely to follow your doctor's advice.

The moon is one of the rulers of the uterus, and if I understand besiegement correctly, the moon is besieged between Mars and Saturn. (Throw in Pluto as a malefic for good measure.) Meaning the moon isn't free to act, and is troubled.

I applaud you, Mama, for nursing your baby, and not wanting to harm the baby through medicine passing into your milk. However, as you mention, endiometriosis can become serious if left untreated. You want your baby to have a healthy mother as s/he grows up, not a mother who is ill a lot. It seems to me that this longer term perspective should be factored into your decisions.

Have you got a qualified herbalist or alternative health care provider? If so, I suggest you really ask him/her about their experience with endiometriosis, and what they would recommend as treatment. Note that herbal preparations, including beverages, would pass through your milk, as well. This would include caffeine.

A positive attitude is helpful for any patient, but if you try alternative treatments and they don't work well, you might have wasted more time, during which time the endometrial tissues continue to spread.

Diet does seem to affect endiometriosis, so you might want to follow these recommendations for an anti-inflammatory diet, as well: https://draxe.com/endometriosis-symptoms/

I hope your health improves with whatever you decide: please report back and let us know.

Dear @waybread,

I really appreciate you took the time to analyze my chart in such an holistic manner.

I would also appreciate if you share with us your bibliography. I'm very interested in learning horary, though health charts seem to be a difficult matter. As you say there are many different approaches and I think we must test them all. Different approaches could helps us interpret horary charts at different levels.

Your 6th house of health/illness is ruled by the sun. I don't get why it should be in the 3rd house, associated with Mercury. However, the 7th house rules the health care practitioner. With Virgo on the cusp, probably the Mercury link to the sun is appropriate.

So mercury conjunct sun may represent the health provider helping me recover my vitality. He's my main doctor and he has stated time ago that he would do his best to help me.

The moon is one of the rulers of the uterus, and if I understand besiegement correctly, the moon is besieged between Mars and Saturn. (Throw in Pluto as a malefic for good measure.) Meaning the moon isn't free to act, and is troubled.

I've read about besiegement when learning about planet strength and accidental dignity. One version says that a planet is beseiged when is under the influence of two malefics, this means that as soon as the planet leaves behind a conjunction with one malefic it joins conjunction with the other. I use lilly orbs table so I think that besiegement only occurs when both malefics are less than 8.25 degrees apart and the planet is placed in between.

Anyway Mars, Moon and Pluto share the same house. I really love how the charts talk by themselves, all of this could represent the medical procedure. I'm worried about south node presence there. If this "stellium" would have been placed in 12th house it would definitely mean that I should choose the medical procedure?

A positive attitude is helpful for any patient, but if you try alternative treatments and they don't work well, you might have wasted more time, during which time the endometrial tissues continue to spread.

I don't know any qualified homeopath :D I was going to ask dr. Google but you made me realize I have to be very responsible no matter of the medicine origin (whether is "chemical" or natural. Meanwhile I'll just follow an "elimimation diet" to see how much it helps me.

I let you know how all of this unfolds.

Thank you very much!!

The more I think about going "under the knife" the more anxious I become. I'm very biased about surgeries because of terrible experiences on the surgery table (Once I almost had a cardiac arrest after leaving the surgery table).

Neptune rising is very telling.

Re: Yerba Mate and homeopathic Thuja.

In the USA they are obsessed with putting warnings on everything due to all the legal liability and law suits. I can not find anything like that on Yerba Mate or any homeopathic remedies-- Not so much as a warning for mothers.

Just be careful to buy traditional raw dried Yerba Mate with nothing added.

BlackLioness87, I hope these are helpful. I am not aware of a book specifically devoted to medical horary. Usually books are one or the other, either on horary or on medical astrology.

On horary, I use J. Lee Lehman, The Martial Art of Horary Astrology; and Olivia Barclay, Horary Astrology Rediscovered. Barclay is now considered a bit out of date, as new traditional sources have been published since she wrote her book (1990) but I find them about the easiest to follow. Lehman has a chapter on medical horary. If you're reading Lilly, you're probably beyond these sources!

The Skyscript website has a good tutorial on traditional horary astrology.

http://www.skyscript.co.uk/horary_intro.html

For medical astrology, I mostly use: Jane Ridder-Patrick, A Handbook of Medical Astrology; and Diane L. Cramer, Dictionary of Medical Astrology. I see that J. Lee Lehman has a book on medical astrology, which I've not read.

This website might be helpful: http://www.greekmedicine.net/medical_astrology/The_Planets.html

One thing to consider about surgery is that it and doctors are ruled by Mars. So if you can choose your surgery date, look for a nice position for Mars.

Natally I have Neptune in the first house, and while I've always felt uneasy about general anesthetics, I've not had complications from surgery.

Thanks for being specific :) I thought I had to add some ginger and lemon juice to make it "solar". :p

Lilly was a very experienced astrologer, in days when you could count astrologers with the fingers of one hand ;) I'm exaggerating just a bit. If he's still famous is because their findings are still useful, though we might improve some of his methods.

I first read Lilly because many horary astrologers use the essential/accidental dignity tables he provides in his book. They are very useful and precise in sport astrology. I wish I could understand the english spoken on those days.

I didn't know that, thanks for your advice. :)

It's just that on my first surgery (emergency surgery) anesthesiologist failed with the amount of anesthetics :( I had dinner three hours before! He had to put me to sleep and guess what... Anyway, I think it was a karmic issue.

Thank you a lot waybread!! NAMASTE!

I forgot to update this thread.

Two weeks after I opened it I went to the doctor. I had another scan and it seemed endometriosis had almost dissapeared, ovarian cysts too.

It seemed endometriosis was caused by some emotional conflicts. I wasn't able to get over a crush, but a couple of days after I decided to move on, symptoms completely disappeared :w00t:. I made the doctor's appointment anyway because I still felt my c-section scar was a bit swollen. Doctor told me that after two c-sections it was impossible not to feel some nuisances (and that I had to deal with that for the rest of my life). :/

So, I haven't had any endometriosis symptoms since June 2018. Anyways I changed my diet some months ago, now I don't eat as much processed food as before. I exceptionally eat animal protein, excepting seafood which I eat at least once a week.

Thanks again to those who kindly gave me advice.

Go see a homeopath if u have any further problems. They're really good as they take into account all past history and emotions.
