Chronic Fatigue - All my life...

I've had chronic fatigue since I was a teen but I was a very active child. At one point, in my early 20's I was sleeping up to 16 hours per day. Dr's had no idea what it could be. I could not stay awake. Now, I still feel it after all this time (to a lesser extent), I'm 39 and I realize with astrology, perhaps I have hope to find out what it really is. I asked "Why do I have Chronic Fatigue? Medical reason?" and my interpretation is below too. Thanks for any help!

Thanks so much.

Sagi Cap-if its ok with you I'd like to answer your question using your natal.
Your ascendant (health) is ruled by Saturn.Saturn is the most negatively afflicted planet in your chart pretty much-(opp jupiter, venus,(in sign of detriment) squared by the moon, inconjunct pluto). That already tells me your health will be problematic, especially as your moon in h1 is in Saturn's sign)/
Illnesses in your life are shown by h6.The moon rules that house here. (Moon square jupiter and saturn).
Perhaps you had glandular fever at some stage or the Epstein-Barr virus.
Have to go now-but will come back to this later.
Cheers

Lilly, you are quite wonderful - because this is such a fast and accurate reply already - I DID have a major fever when I was very young. I remember it still. My mother can't remember the name, she called it something in our language, but basically a very strong fever. It was when I was about 4 or 5.

How do you find this out of what you've told me above?

I discovered this in alan leos esoteric astrology.... follow me.

We have the fire, air water and earth triplicity yes...

Now, Naturaly your fire trine, goes from the 1st, to the 5th to the 10th.

you have on your 1st 5th and 10th, earthen signs, Which would give you this kind of cold and dry personality, giving you a meloncholic tendencies. You don't really like to move around until your poked and prodded to get started.

This also could be the cause for your fatigue, as saturn the reaper and the winter. in winter everything sleeps, it slows down.

How can I find out more, please?
There is quite a simple blood test which can show whether you have the Epstein Barr Virus, as it will remain in your body for life if you have had the fever. This fever is called different things in different countries. In the US they call it mononucleosis, but it is also called Glandular Fever. It is rare to have it before the age of 13-14, but I believe I had it at 6-7 years of age. I had a raging fever and a very, very sore throat, and I took forever to get my energy back.

There are other illnesses and infections which can create your symptoms.

Niplan: Hmm, this seems very true. I have never heard of Alan Leo's theory and I'll go read up on it. And "Saturn the Reaper" - if u saw my natal you would see it's true, my asc, handle and most oppositions revolve around Saturn. Lucky me! :crying:

R4VEN: I'm sorry to hear you had this condition but you are all fine now it seems. :) I am definately going to ask about the test. I've decided I'm going to do everything possible to find out.

fensi88: You say not serious but long lasting and this has been my experience completely. I appreciate your help and will explore your suggestions more.

I have been incredibly tired this year. I have Cap rising, with Saturn in my first house for my Solar Return. In general I think Saturn ruling the ascendant limits physical energy... I also had MONO (probably like the very high fever you had), and that leaves you permanently more tired...

Hi SagiCap,
I have never been diagnosed with chronic fatigue, but I live in an almost constant state of exhaustion...I put it down to Chiron conjunct my Sun in the 1st. And looking at ur chart...I think Chiron has a lot to do with ur issues. Being in the 12th (Chronic fatigue is still largely a mysterious disorder) conjunct Nept and opp Mars in the 6th. Nept opp Mars in the 6th can indicate drained energy...add Chiron to the mix and it could be interpreted as fatigue being the wound that we have to learn to live with.
But since the moon is also in the mix...it's possible that experimenting with dietary changes could help?

Ugh. :( Sorry to hear this Mod. I know how hard it is to deal with. It's like your life shuts down and passes you by. I fight the feeling everyday that part of my life has gone missing. Ahhh, we just have to make up for it. Live each second fully. Good luck with it all.

I've also had CFS all my life, and i've been told i've had MONO at a very young age, but even before that i was never a good sleeper, and i have a bad sleep hygienge (sleep 6/7/8 hours, still wake up tired, every day)

Honestly, by the stories i've heard from my parents, i never had a good night sleep since i was born.

I've been to a nature docter to fight the remaining MONO, but it did not help, what can be done?

Lol. Guess I should spill the beans. I am a sleep scientist. Lately I have had numerous sleep problems. I have restless legs and a constant ache that just started in like the last 6 months. I am trying to find a cure for it that doesn't involve drugs. I have tried numerous supplements- Calcium, Magnesium, Iron, Prenatal Vitamins, Vitamin B, Vitamin C, and now I am on Potassium (this week's addition!) The reason I am actually interjecting here is that it just recently came into the news that Chronic Fatigue may be linked to a virus. Well I am in the same boat. I have been sick and tired alot lately. I tried to run 2 charts so far trying to pinpoint where in my body is sick, both of which were unreadable due to combustion etc. I guess the gods don't want me to know where I am sick, it's just eating away at my body. I have all kinds of symptoms. Pain everywhere. Leg ache, even tingling in my legs, hips, hands. Constant coldness. Heart skipping beats. I even asked last week if I was going to die from this. I am only 35 and don't think I have ever felt like this. I thought it was because I am having some bad transits to my natal planets. T. Saturn conjunct my Sun and Pluto and Mars and T. Uranus opposite my Sun. T. Pluto loosely square my Pluto and Mars etc, etc.

Please read attached link from the NY times. I hope it helps.

Thank you for posting this hopeful and enlightening article. I'm sorry to hear about your pain. It sounds awful. I wanted to ask you - if you don't mind answering. Do you think the supplements have helped a little and do you think regular exercise will help some of the symptoms? I know it's basic, but many of us don't do it because we think nothing will cure it - of course - but we also believe nothing really helps.

I think this week is the first week that I dreamed in a long time, which tells me that I must have gotten more continuous sleep than I have in a while. Normally a person goes into this REM sleep every 90 minutes. If your sleep is fragmented, and if you have a sleep disorder -it is, you may never make it into REM sleep or may get into REM sleep maybe once in a night instead of 3 times which is the average for about 8 hours of sleep. Many of my patients never do get into REM. Like I said, this week's new addition is potassium pills. My daughter has this leg problem too. I had wondered if too much caffeine or nicotine or anything like this caused symptoms, but she is 7.

As for regular exercise, yes it will help for a few reasons: First, for problems like DVT or circulatory issues, simple body movement and the warming of the muscles will aid with symptoms. Second, it will tire the body and make sleep more continuous. Third, it will minimize fat, which will help any sleep related breathing disorders or other diseases from occurring. And it helps the body metabolize food better and you will crave foods that are better for you.

But let me not fool you, I haven't been exercising at all these days. I think about it, but my energy level is awful. I sound just like my patients. I even feel more depressed these days as well. If they don't have the energy to exercise because they haven't slept and they are craving bad foods because their heart and body are never resting, they gain weight fast. It has a snowball effect. And I have gained at least 5 pounds, maybe 10 in the past few months too. I need to turn it back around. I think the potassium pills are helping. I had the energy to clean today. I am at home right now because I have a patient tonight, and although I could have slept (and probably should because I have to stay up all night long), I chose to move around, clean out the fridge, take my daughter outside to play in the snow. My heart feels pretty good today too, now that I think about it. I will keep you posted on the final resolution to my problem. I have been thinking about posting my method on the internet to help other people without medicating them. You can read a previous post on what happened with the medication my doc put me on to resolve these symptoms in my other posts. It wasn't good.

Chronic Fatigue is not some mystery disease, I personally think it is misdiagnosed Lyme. I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia when I was 16. I just figured it was Lyme 5 years ago. I'm 33 now. Many people diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue and Fribro or even MS and Lupus find they have Lyme. :whistling:

Hello,

I had sudden onset severe chronic fatigue for a year and a half; I literally went to sleep and could not wake up. As my family is very fortunate to have extensive medical resource, I have been to see most of the top MD specialists for CFS.

CFS is a multi causal disease with the underlying factor that your immune system become chronically overtaxed and it shuts down your body. Lyme disease, toxic mold posioning, HSV-6 virus, Cytomeglo virum, severe allergies or a combination of factors can be involved. If you can, get yourself to a chronic fatigue doctor that will run a comprehensive battery of tests for causal factors and physical imbalances that have resulted.

My favorite doctor was Dr. Caro at http://www.fibroandfatigue.com/physicians.php, they have clinics in various parts of the country and all of the doctors are great.

Please feel free to write me directly and I would be more than happy to share what I learned on my "medical adventure". During this time incidentally, I had Pluto within 2 degrees of my sun for an entire year. The cause of my CFS was toxic mold resulting in hypothyroidism.

You can recover from this; please do not be discouraged. Studying astrology kept me sane throughout this process and was a fun activity to do in bed lol.

Kind regards,
Kathryn Ross

The thing is, the tests for Lyme disease are trash.

This means that there are many, many, many people walking around who have Lyme but were tested (by their chronic fatigue doctors or whomever) and their tests came back with a FALSE negative. So, they were told they don't have it.

Most doctors are completely ignorant about Lyme disease and its faulty tests.

Lyme disease can't be ruled out via testing because the tests are that bad.
