In astrology

a planet's DOMICILE

or

less commonly house - not to be confused with the astrological house system
IS THE ZODIAC SIGN OVER WHICH IT HAS RULERSHIP

A planet is considered to be in DOMAL DIGNITY

when it is positioned in the sign it rules.

This is the strongest of the five essential dignities of a planet

Thank you for pointing out and reminding us of this subtlety.

An Aquarius born in daytime,
esp. AM is under the influence of Saturn
DAY time is BEFORE SUNSET so PM is DAY time

NIGHT time is AFTER SUNSET
and

any Aquarius is under the RULERSHIP of SATURN
but I hadn't found anything about being born in a PM
PM is BEFORE SUNSET
and so PM before sunset is a DAY CHART
and furthermore
any AQUARIUS born PM before sunset is under the rulership of SATURN

or night are still Saturnians.
to be clear then

any AQUARIUS whether born BEFORE SUNSET
or
AFTER SUNSET is under the rulership of SATURN
the distinction known as SECT is whether chart is BEFORE SUNSET or AFTER SUNSET

SECT is basic to Hellenistic astrology
Hellenistic astrology PRECEDED Medieval astrology

SECT concept WAS ALTERED FROM the ORIGINAL HELLENISTIC CONCEPT
by Medieval and other later astrologers

HOWEVER

Hellenistic astrology use of SECT is FOUNDATIONAL
and of major importance

LATER MEDIEVALISTS altered it
to suit their own methodology
and so
beginners keep in mind that
when delineating using HELLENISTIC astrology
SECT is top priority

SECT analogy
SECT is: comparable to two Political Parties
Day Sect
and
Night Sect

i.e.
The Party in Power
and
The Party in Opposition

analogy source: Robert Schmidt - died December 2018
Project Hindsight http://www.projecthindsight.com/

SECT is an Hellenistic Astrology BASIC CONSIDERATION

dig_sm.gif

Notice that
the abbreviation D = DAY
and
the abbreviation N = NIGHT
THE COLUMN ABBREVIATION "Trip." = TRIPLICITY

illustrating graphically
that Triplicity Rulers differ
dependent
on the SECT of a chart
i.e.
whether chart is
Day chart BEFORE SUNSET
or
Night chart AFTER SUNSET

by the way for interested beginners

Chris Brennan gives a detailed overview of the concept of sect
in astrology the difference between day and night birth charts
at
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1XfPLTQuB9M

Sect is a fundamental concept used in Hellenistic astrology
that has only been recovered over the past 30 years
through translations of ancient texts.
The purpose of this talk is
to give a broad introduction to sect
establishing how pervasive the concept is in ancient astrology
and then
to demonstrate how it works in practice through chart examples.
