November's new Moon in Scorpio occurs on November 16 in the United States and November 17 in Australia. This is an incredibly perceptive new Moon, not just because it is in Scorpio (which is enough in itself) but because so many of the Symbols speak of getting below the surface of what's going on. This new Moon is very much about digging; emotionally, mentally, spiritually. The Sabian Symbol for this new Moon is Scorpio 25: An X-Ray Photograph Helps With the Diagnosis. This speaks of penetrating insight, piercing through external appearances, pure understanding, incredible insight and revelations, having the eyes to see, spying, detective work, reaching conclusions, evaluations, photographs, negatives, radiation, x-ray vision, expensive and up-to-date equipment, chemotherapy, mammograms, scanning equipment, finding causes, Paparazzi.
The Cautions include: Disregarding the humanity of people, invading other people's psychic or intellectual space, undressing or revealing people through subtle manipulation, always being intense and dissatisfied with the easy, or obvious, answers.

This is such an archetypal Symbol for Scorpio. It's like a double whammy of x-ray energy. This enables us to delve deeply into what's going on to find the answers. These answers may have evaded us, but the diagnosis can help a great deal if we have the eyes to see. We can use this time to pierce even deeper into the layers of our reality to something that otherwise may not be perceived or understood. The new Moon configuration includes a grand trine with a kite to the Moon's nodes. The planets include: Sun + Moon on Scorpio 25, Uranus on Pisces 23, north Node at Capricorn 23. This is a wonderful free flow of energy which can contribute to understanding, a desire for peace, love and acceptance. This is a wonderful configuration promises some very interesting and freeing experiences. There can be new relationships, new friendships and meetings with others that feel fated, special, unique and deep.

Making things a little confusing or unclear is this new Moon squaring Neptune, which can bring us more or deeper insights OR muddy the waters with people not being sure of what's coming through. Neptune, here, may cause more confusion than solve questions or riddles, however Neptune can also bring insights bubbling to the surface, so it's best to sit with impressions to see what they're telling you. There can be a sense of feeling misunderstood, alone, alienated or not sure of how to move forward or move on in life.

Neptune is on Aquarius 24: A Man Turning His Back on His Passions Teaches Deep Wisdom From His Experience. This speaks of changing through maturing realizations, turning you back on something that meant a lot to you in the past, seeing through emotions, mental states, people, situations, etc. This can be about learning lessons the hard way and it can show being an example to others so they may learn. One has to be alert to feeling hard done-by, being the martyr or lamenting over what has gone. This speaks of a new time arising and with it comes a sense of learning (and teaching), from your experiences.

Mars is bringing some interesting insights. It's on Leo 14: Cherub-Like, a Human Soul Whispers Into Every Receptive Ear, Seeking to Manifest. This speaks of new realizations and impulses, seeking to have one's voice heard, messages from the other side, reincarnation, channeling information, spirit descending - wishing to make itself known, whispering, passing on news and messages, seeking embodiment, transpersonal urges, cherubs and spirits, ears and hearing, compassion, manifesting intention. With Mars on this degree, some of these things may cause a prickly sense of irritation if one feels that they're not being listened to. It can be very positive though, if we are picking up the right messages and not being led astray. Finding the balance on this new Moon is the trick.

Squaring Mars is Venus on Scorpio 12: An Embassy Ball. This speaks of manners and protocol, dressing and looking right, who knows who and what it's worth, it's the Cinderella story (are you at the ball or sitting alone by the fireplace?), sparkling occasions, social connections, international relations, speaking the right language. Smack on the new Moon, Venus changes degrees. In the hours leading up to the new Moon, Venus is on Scorpio 11: A Drowning Man is Being Rescued. It seems that many of our realizations can lead to salvation, rescue, empathy, help, last-minute reprieves, being let off the hook.

Messages being delivered are magnified many times over with Jupiter on Aquarius 20: A Large White Dove Bearing a Message. This speaks of blessed relief, messages delivered, celebrations, hope, faith, blessings and salvation, the Covenant, news, announcements, peace movements, Utopian idealism, olive branches.

Saturn and Pluto, being exactly square to each other, are bringing quite a lot of pressure and stress with Saturn onLibra 2: The Light of the Sixth Race Transmuted to the Seventh and Pluto on Capricorn 2: Three Stained-Glass Windows in a Gothic Church, One is Damaged by War. It seems that many are growing and evolving and finding new ways of being, living and relating to the world around them. This can indicate a need to move on from loved ones, people, places or jobs that have meant a lot in the past or have become second nature or a habit. Saturn is asking that we free ourselves from restrictions and take a giant leap of faith in order to grow and evolve. Leaving others, whether mentally, emotionally or physically, can involve pain and a sense of loss, but this period is leading to a new sense of growth, expansion and understanding. What is outdated, outworn and outgrown has now to be left behind in some measure. The Three Stained Glass Windows that Pluto is magnifying sayswe have to find wholeness, feel complete, not damaged, broken, discarded, useless or have the sense of being too old, damaged or left out and forgotten.

Mercury is also asking that we look below the surface of what's going on. The Symbol isSagittarius 2: The Ocean Covered with Whitecaps. This speaks of the need for stillness and meditation, to plumb the depths and not indulge in surface, insecure or whipped up emotions.

The Moon's North Node is promising on Capricorn 23: A Soldier Winning Two Awards For Bravery in Combat. With the stress and strain of recent times I'm sure many deserve a pat on the back, a medal, some reward to show that we've come through difficult straits and survived.

Adding to the perceptiveness of this new Moon is Uranus on Pisces 23: A Materializing Medium Giving a Seance. This speaks of the need to free up "stuck" or earthbound energies, efforts to materialize things, giving voice to spirit, clairvoyance and clairsentience, bringing messages from the other side, etc.

If we can get past the more obscure messages that Neptune is bringing us, we can turn our backs on those things that no longer serve us and move into a place of deeper knowing with more self awareness and growth.
