will my mother recover from her stroke attack

Hello to all. This is the first time I am posting in this section of the forum. My mother recently has suffered a stroke and I am frantic to find out if mum will recover from this attack. She has been hospitalised and is aware of her surroundings, and of course there is speech difficulty and paralasys on her left side.

'Will mum recover from stroke?´
asked in Hamburg Germany 12th April time 7.35 AM

I think I turn the chart I am not sure....radical 10th house is in Capricorn and the ruler Saturn is rx and Peregrine in the 5th house of Virgo.

The moon is in fixed sign and Peregrine in 6th house and is in its fall in the sign of Scorpio.

The Sun is in Aires, Cadent house and is triple ruler of its sign and is in 12th house in Exhaltation in the sign of Aires.
The Sun Rules the left eye for Females, (hence my mother) Sun also is regarded the Lord of Life.

Mercury is in 12th house Taurus, under the suns beams Combust, Mercury signifying speech and Brain, hence my mothers condition in hospital.

Pluto is in the 8th house,Capricorn this is getting scary with 8th house ruler Jupiter, Fast, 21 degrees...critical...ouch...and Antiscion is 08 degrees 54 minutes in Scorpio.

Venus is rx in detriment in Aires with 00 degrees critical and antiscion in Libra with 00 degrees 10 minutes.

I am not able to come to an answer as I am too confused and want to see desperately the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, everything is a labyrinth to me. If anyone can please shed a light on this chart, I would deeply be in debt to the forum.

Thanking you in advance,
My best always,
Stephan

Re: will my mother recover from her stroke attack

Guten Morgen, Stephan.

I'm sorry to hear about your mother. Strokes are very tricky things. I will add a few comments about the chart.

1. Algol sits on the ASC, showing that you, the querent, have 'lost your head'. This is a metaphor, of course, and reflects the fact that you are frantic about your mother's condition.

2. Saturn separates from the Mars/Uranus conjunction, showing your mother's recent affliction. Saturn is retrograde and peregrine, which shows that there is no 'quick fix' for your mother, and that her condition is likely to either recur (many stroke victims suffer a second or third stroke) or that her recovery will not be swift. Saturn is in a mutable sign, showing (again) the possibility that her recovery will not be swift but should be considered in the 'medium term'.

3. The moon is in fall but angular, and applies by trine to Venus, who is retrograde in Pisces (according to your chart, Venus is at 29.49 Pisces. Much better than Aries!). Since you are Venus, this maybe shows that your mother's recovery will be helped along by your support; it certainly shows your willingness to do anything to help her, as well as your fear and sense of helplessness (Moon in fall). The applying trine to a retrograde benefic shows, if not a happy ending, at least one that 'isn't so bad'. This is supported by the North Node sitting in the 10th house.

Speaking from personal experience here, recovery from stroke depends on many things: the nature and severity of the stroke, which part of the brain and brain/body functions it has affected, but also the individual's personality, as well as her age and general health. If your mother is patient with herself and does whatever physiotherapy or speech therapy she is supposed to do, chances are she'll do fairly well and make a reasonable recovery. My mother suffered a brain-injury-induced stroke, but made a full recovery, because she was very disciplined about physiotherapy. Your mum can't help having the stroke, but she can do many things to help herself, if you see what I mean.

You might want to seek some counselling from a local stroke charity; they will have a lot of information available to help and support you and your mother.

Best of luck!
AG

Re: will my mother recover from her stroke attack

Right now she is not in danger, because her ruler match the sign in which ruler is, Sa is cold and dry, also VI is cold and dry, so she is not now serious ill. But Sa is rx, so recovery will be much slower. Ruler of Sa rx is ni fix sign another testimony that she will recovery slow. Since Me is ruler of her turned 5 house, Me signifies you, also. Me will trine Sa so you will be a lot of help for her. She loves you so much, Sa is in Me's sign and exaltation!
But ruler of her 7 house is Moon peregrine and fall, so her doctor is not skill enought. Also, Ma as lord of treatment for your mum is in no dignity of Sa, so treatment do not help her. If I were you I would change her doctor.

PS. Regading your user name we have sport section on this forum

Re: will my mother recover from her stroke attack

I am truly blown away to Archergirl and Goca with your kind response and precise interpretations. My mother lives overseas and I will be flying soon to be with her ,as so to get her back on her feet.Hence Algol conjuct AC as Archergirl interpreted.I am trying externally not to lose it, I am in a RAGE internally alsowith trying to tie up everything before I leave Germany.

She was taken ill on Easter Friday, so her Doctor was an Intern, INEXPERIENCED....he was looking after her until Easter Monday.

She is now being treated by Specialists,as Easter break is over...thank God... so that explains Gocas interpretation SO TRUE and many warmThank yous.

You are both gems and have no idea how much you are helping me cope.

I will keep you posted.

Horary Astrology, not only brings answers close to you, but also brings strangers extending a helping hand and that is too beautiful to not accept.

I thank you dearly.
God Bless, keep safe.
Stephan

Re: will my mother recover from her stroke attack

Hello to all,
Heres an update concerning this thread, and maybe helpful for Study purposes.
In reference to Goca:
Sa is cold and dry, also VI is cold and dry, so she is not now serious ill. But Sa is rx, so recovery will be much slower. Ruler of Sa rx is ni fix sign another testimony that she will recovery slow.

The Doctors are giving little chance of recovery, my question is please,
are their more signs in the chart for recovery?

In reference to Archergirl:
which shows that there is no 'quick fix' for your mother, and that her condition is likely to either recur (many stroke victims suffer a second or third stroke) or that her recovery will not be swift.

At this moment its more likely to recur or is recurring as I write.

I am going to take my own advice, what I tell my atheletes
You give your 1000% until the end.

I wont tire you any further with my situation. If their is anything else in mums chart, I welcome all comments.
Thank you
Stay well.
Stephan

Re: will my mother recover from her stroke attack

Theat rule I found in "The horary textbook", by JF. I do not see any adverse aspect eighter to Sa rx or Me so I do not think it will be more stroke attack. But I am not expert for medicine horary.

Re: will my mother recover from her stroke attack

The Moon's next aspect is to Uranus, so I would think that another stroke is a likelihood.

Stephan, it doesn't seem likely that your mum will make a *full* recovery, if that is what you are asking. As I mentioned previously, a lot depends on where the stroke took place, what parts of the brain and body were affected, and how bad the permanent damage was to that part of the brain. It also depends on your mother's general condition and health prior to the stroke. I would assume that your mother is elderly, or at least older, with Saturn as the significator...?

From the chart it seems that some permanent damage will have taken place, because Mercury, the affliction, is in a mutable (common) sign, and Mercury receives Saturn. In other words, Mercury has an influence on Saturn because Saturn is in Mercury's sign. In Lilly's decumbiture chapters in Christian Astrology he says:

Quote:
If the Sign of the sixth be ...a common Sign, [expect] a mediocrity, neither too long or short, but for the most part, an alteration of the Disease, and return of it again....common Signs do more long continue any infirmity. CA248
The physicians are likely to be playing it cautiously and safely, so it's probably best to 'hope for the best but expect the worst'. The final trine from the Moon to Venus, while weakened by Venus being retrograde and the Moon being so debilitated, is still a trine, and suggests a partial resolution, at least.

Perhaps the focus should shift from your mum's 'making a recovery' to ensuring that her quality of life is not compromised too much by whatever debility the stroke has caused...again, I would seek some support from local stroke groups to see what sorts of services they can offer you and your mum.
