Robin Williams (1951-2014) had a Cancer sun conjunct Mars and Uranus (a bad combination), Scorpio rising and Pisces moon. A triple water sign combination is said to produce a high risk of depression and mental illness in a natal chart. My own Aquarius sun/moon (26' sun/20' moon/23' one of the parts of Depression), Cancer rising and Uranus in Scorpio is a risk factor in my own life having mild depression.

He also suffered from a (physical) disease that was causing severe dementia.

3 other parts of depression: 9' Taurus (My bro's b-date Apr 23 - 6' Taurus and my Mom's Apr 29 - 12'), 6' Leo and 26' Scorpio (my Uranus is in 25'). It tends to be a fixed sign issue, which Aquarius happens to be, and Aquarians along with Capricorns are prone to develop some level of depression, it may have to do with their ruler planet Saturn, a malefic. I find Leo and Pisces to be dramatic and prone to psychological or neurological ailments (Neptune is ruler of Pisces).

About 15% of the population (US) suffers from clinical depression.
